What a brilliant little cafe this is. Superb homemade cakes and lunches and good coffee. Run by very friendly local volunteers. We stayed for ages chatting to people. It plays a great part in the local community, hosting all sorts of events as well as providing a brilliant amenity for visiting tourists. Thoroughly recommend this wonderful cafe.

This café is run by the village ladies to raise funds for the church. It is a social centre for the village and the food is wonderful value. Cappucino made with real ground coffee is only £1 a mug and big slices of home made cake are only £1.20 including cream. Light meals and snacks are also available. The café is also a good source of information about the village and what is going on there. However, as it is only open 10 am to 3 pm it isn't a viable place for breakfast or an evening meal.

We stopped by the Spring Cafe while cycling the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route, and it was ideal for a cheap, quick refuel. Beans on toast, pot of tea and a scone with change from a fiver, served by friendly staff from the church. Hot and cold desserts also available but unfortunately we had to get going. Cyclists can sit outside with their bikes in view, and I'm told they are planning to have a bike rack fitted as well.

We stumbled across this place after seeing a sign for it from the main road going through Hunmanby. Basically it's a church hall offering snacks and full proper lunches. I presume the people manning the place are parishioners. They do a great job. We had cakes and drinks altho were tempted by the hot food available - proper home cooked dishes It's a relaxed place and we did get a lovely welcome. I would suggest everyone young or old would feel welcome here

A lovely little spot where locals meet at regular intervals, the staff are volunteers and all proceeds go to the church. If you wan't gourmet food don't come here but if you wan't a nice friendly atmosphere where all are welcome and enjoy the chit chat over a tea or coffe it's for you.

Stopped here on a cycle ride in the pouring rain. Excellent place to have a break. In a church yard which in the summer sun would be so nice. Ladies in charge very friendly and the cakes are just what the doctor ordered. Worth a stop.

Housed in the former church school buildings the kindly ladies that run this place offer excellent value. That means good food at a low price, not just Cheap. I had a seniors Soup and a slice, Pudding and a hot drink...... just £4 Get This Filter Coffee ONE POUND The "girls" are restricted in what the can offer as they don't having the cooking qualifications, though I have no doubt the skill. They do all have Hygine Certs. Very friendly and deservedly busy. Soft Seating also available. Seek out behind the Parish Church or off Stonegate Hunmanby.

Pleasant friendly atmosphere with home made cakes - really nice place for a cup of tea or coffee. They have soft drinks too. A bit hard to find but basically behind the church and well worth hunting it out.

Great place to eat if you like fresh seafood. I had the best fish pie & my wife the fish chowder, which was excellent. Lovely atmosphere & location and great service. Highly recommended.

An interesting football themed pub, good vibe but better still were the 3 gluten free beers (one a porter) on tap at the bar. I am not local but if IU was I would go again.

I'm writing this review so that people understand there is not a cafe or pub tea/beer garden here. It's an open area with a few tables & brollies over and a small covered area for rescue from the elements, & snacks only are served from the stalls. The options are limited, but the food is lovely, though not inexpensive. There's a little kids play area & the waterfall is nearby the house. Public toilets are 2 small wooden shacks with no windows in the gaps, but they are spotless. T.paper, soap, sanitiser is all provided at the little sink in the middle. It's a stunning stunning area at the bottom of a steep bank & there are various forestry walk options nearby. On the day it turned really cold and poured down, so several people were caught out. There are places which wont be easy for those with mobility issues. Keep tight hold of your dogs & children as the walkway is not fenced in & theres a heck of a drop ... its a fab and au naturelle adventure ramble through the woods. Just be prepared more than we were. We thought we could go for a nice walk and then have a nice lunch after, but no that's not the case. Parking is also very limited. It was really busy early on. A few ignoramouses even parked in the passing places, selfish idiots as usual . But in nice weather it would be a proper little sun trap & there is loads of wildlife and birds to spot. the lucky owners of the house there are in a very secluded spot in a beautiful area and have almost become fruitful forest guardians.
