Bella Rose Cafe in Scarborough

Would highly recommend. Great choice of food and drinks. We've been to Bella Rose a couple of times for breakfast & lunch and never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly too.

Excellent staff and excellent food 😁 I revisited this restaurant recently with the family. Seven people. The food was served very quickly and was really nice. The staff were very good with my four year old grandson too, taking time to take his food order and generally chatting to him.

A lovely family business close to our B&B on North Marine Rd. Excellent service, freshly prepared breakfasts and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend if you're staying in Scarborough. Locals already know how good Bella Rose Cafe is!

Fantastic cafe, we had top quality breakfasts, beautifully cooked with care and at last a cafe that serves a really decent sized pot of tea for us to share and the whole thing was such good value for money. The staff were so friendly and efficient. One of the very best cafes in Scarborough, very highly recommended.🙂

I visited here on Monday and Tuesday with my parents for breakfast. The food was lovely and the staff friendly. We didn't try the cakes, but they looked delicious. We would definitely recommend eating here if you are in the area.

A little overpriced, good service but a bit 'greasy spoon' for the prices they are charging.

Bacon sandwich and a sausage sandwich unreal 10/10. Bacon quality was so so good. Great prices. We took out but it looked busy.

Called in first thing 25th July for a breakfast, I had a cappuccino with oat milk and a bacon sandwich, bread was lovely and my bacon was cooked as I asked for which is on the crispy side. Others had the breakfast, the food was fantastic and the staff are very helpful, I have dairy and egg allergies, everything was checked out, I was catered for very well. We will definitely go back. I would advise booking as this cafe can get busy

Came here last night before the fatboy slim concert for some food and drinks. It was my first experience here and honestly couldn’t fault it ! Drinks and food were very reasonably priced and the food was absolutely beautiful and a very generous portion size too. Service was great also. Looking forward to going back again, thank you

A really nice place for food and drinks. The chicken burger was really good. My wife had the Lasagne which really liked. Very friendly and attentive staff. Price wise for the food it was very reasonable

Brilliant cafe next to Peasholm Park, whether you want Cake n coffee or a nice breakfast choice. Trying again later pre Open Air show for drinks n snacks. Gets very busy, so may be worth booking. Top quality food, drink & service - well worth a visit.

Belly buster Breakfast...... Size of portion for the price is amazing, and the quality of the product used was great. The staff there are welcoming with happy smiles as you walk in. Unfortunately they need to stop rushing as most of the food was over cooked, burnt and dry. The coffee they brought to me was half empty?? Not sure why. I did eat everything and would recommend others to try this place but unfortunately I won't be returning. Thanks tho

Had a really good breakfast here on wed 19th June. I bought my sister and brother in law as we had been before. They were really impressed in fact my brother in law said its now top of list as the best breakfast he has had!! Great food and service. I would recommend booking as its very busy.

Today wasn't my first visit to this little gem. There's a good selection of tasty food on the menu, that can be enjoyed in a clean and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, service is efficient and discreet. I would recommend booking as it can get very busy.

Absolutely gorgeous food as always I brought my eldest daughter in yesterday and she ate all off her food which is unlike her she even had cake the staff are well mannered served us quickly and efficiently definitely be going back again the staff treated us with respect epically with my little girl she came out smiling thank you Bella rose absolutely smashing it

Really let down today , food bad and service also bad , waited over 45 mins for food , only 1 table infront of us so only expected to wait about 20 to 30 mins , eventually came , no staff came over to ask if everything was ok while we were eating it , 3 of us got the gammon with chips egg peas, the gammon was firm and dry, definitely over cooked . Wife went to pay and mentioned about the gammon, got no apology at all until my wife said is that it no apology, oh I’m sorry about that she says , so ended up paying £10.95 for 3 plates of chips eggs onion rings and peas, the 3 gammons were left on their plates , so from now on we will eat else where.

Love this cafe on Scarborough’s picturesque North Side. Great food and top value. The menu has something for everyone. Always great service from their friendly staff. Advisable to call in advance and book a table at busy times

I have just read with some amusement the last review left on here. He wanted his egg white cooked but not the yolk then complained his egg is runny. You couldn’t make it up. We go to Bella Rose Cafe once or twice a week. It always excellently prepared and served. The staff are all lovely.

Worse place I've ever been for breakfast. Explained that I didn't want sloppy eggs and to flip them, half a hour later I got a plate of bland beans, soggy veg sausages, greasy hash browns and sloppy eggs. The team seems to have trouble taking instructions and understanding the customers preferences. I returned the food and collected my refund, I'm not paying to be disrespected. Very lazy team and the vegetarian breakfast is disgusting... very ignorant service, never again

Wow, what a little gem. We were visiting Scarborough for the day, as we were staying in Whitby on holiday, and it was our sons 3rd birthday. We were going to the park opposite and looking for a café where we might buy a little cake for his birthday and have a coffee. We spotted this place and decided to pop in. The staff went above and beyond, bringing his cake out while playing happy birthday music through the PA and having little a candle for him! All this at short notice - I didn't catch the manageress' name, but she was wonderful. She has fantastic customer skills, interpersonal skills and an amazing work ethic - she never stopped while we were there! The coffee and cake we had were unreal too. The freddo frog white blondie cakes were possibly the best cakes I've ever had. Thanks again for making my sons day, and we hope to be back sometime soon!

First visit and must say this will become a regular place to go. Friendly staff and food was lovely and really good portions and good value! Will definitely recommend others go here!

I ordered poached eggs and they were hard so I sent them back and they returned the same poached eggs saying they were fine on the inside but they really weren’t they looked like hard boiled eggs 😂

This is a place where everyone must visit! Absolutely great food. Came here yesterday with my wife and sisters and we are back today! Very clean and very friendly, family welcoming cafe. Apple crumble really hit the spot & the food was out of this world. For a Londoner this was the spot. Thank you guys for the delicious food and welcoming vibe. Much appreciated.

Bacon butty cooked to perfection (asked for bacon to be well done)

We used to say that nothing ever happens on a Tuesday. This particular Tuesday wasn't looking too great, and the weather had turned Scarborough dull and grey again. Needing refreshment, I descended upon Bella Rose Café. This was my first visit. I decided to have an all-day breakfast and chose the Belly Buster and asked that they leave out the black pudding, beans and toast. I really wasn't expecting the breakfast to be so big. Every item was perfectly cooked, and I have never before found a café that cooks the top of the eggs in the way that I have always done. One of the highlights is the tinned plumb tomatoes, which are far nicer than fresh for breakfast in my view. In addition, the mushrooms were perfect, not something that can be said of other businesses, I'm afraid. In conclusion, then, if you are visiting Scarborough and you don't visit Bella Rose at some point in the day for breakfast, then you need your head examined.

What a great place! I ordered the Belly Buster and loved it. I opted out of black pudding and tomatoes, and the cafe had run out of hash browns (through no fault of their own) so we discussed alternatives and had this delicious result. I have also taken photos of the Menu as of 23rd February 2024.

Excellent breakfast and friendly staff, cafe clean and nice interior. My only minor suggestion would be that the large breakfast comes with 2 toast instead of 1 which is what is on the small breakfast too.

Just popped in for a drink and egg bap. Both my wife and I were impressed with the cafe and prices were very reasonable. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Excellent cafe and extremely fair priced,

It was a wet Sunday, and we were warmly welcomed in. We both chose the all-day breakfast, one regulat one vegetarian. It came with toast and filter coffee and was georgeous. We added an extra slicevof toast each, but it wasn't needed. The price was fantastic.

Looked lovely. However, the breakfast arrived with cold items, had it replaced and the egg whites weren't cooked enough. Still slimy.

Very busy at 9am so we're lucky to get a table. Hubby had tea and a bacon butty which he enjoyed. I just had an Americano which was huge so will definitely go there again. Staff were very friendly and greet you when you go in just as it should be.

Wow... came to Scarborough for the night with our friends and googled where would be a good cafe for a breakfast. Bella Rose Cafe was less than half a mile away... The place is lovely. First impressions were great with terrace looking towards Peashom Park.. walked in and is was decorated modern. The food was fantastic. My mate and I had a Belly Buster each .. we were suprised at how much food arrived... (no need for an lunch today). I can not recommend this place enough and on our next visit to Scarborough know where we will be returning for a Mega Breakfast. Thank you

Just fancied a breakfast and glad I chose this lovely cafe. This is my first breakfast in years and wow did it go down well. Great staff too. No photos of the breakfast though as I like my fried egg a particular way and it's not the best for a picture !!!

My boyfriend and I had the vegan breakfast here twice, it was lovely. They give you a huge pot of tea even just for one person which I am certainly happy about as a Yorkshirewoman! We also had vegan chocolate cake to share for dessert and it was gorgeous, tasted no different to non vegan cake and was nice and moist! Friendly service, very cute little café, very reasonably priced too! We ate breakfast twice there and loved it! Thank you Bella Rose!

Lovely friendly cafe. We only had tea (once) and tea and cake (once) so can't comment on the cooked food, but the tea and cake were excellent. Very convenient for Peasholm Park.

Over-hyped place don’t waste your time and money to go there. Food tastes just average ambiance is also average and yes when you are having your snacks there are so many flies to accompany you.

Loved this place. Family business. Very near Peasholme Park and the Open Air Theatre. Had lunch and went back for tea before the gig Delicious Nachos ! Traditional Yorkshire Puddings too!! Good menu choice Seating outside or inside which is very well spread out.

Waited 30 minutes for our lunch. Run by teenagers. Food average.

brilliant breakfast brilliant service will definitely revisit

Pre booked 5 afternoon teas. When we arrived we were asked to choose a sandwich filling each and slice of cake from the display. We were served our pots of tea straight away but waited an hour as others were served hot food that were in the cafe after us. When my elderly mother went to the counter to politely ask when we would be served, the lady (in charge I think) butted in and she was told it was afternoon tea and it took longer, the lady then turned her back and walked away from my mum at the counter mid discussion. We were disgusted at her being treated in this way, and very hungry but left and went elsewhere. Really disappointed as this was booked by my parents as part of their golden wedding celebrations.

Lovely staff and helpful too ...they have lots to put up with at times its right as they say you can't please all of the people all of the time but always willing to put it right and they smile 😃and carry on with their job ....we come all year round as we are local, and is worth the time to chat and have a nice meal ,snacks etc. Julia Kelly. Lovely all day breakfast! My little girl even loves the kids breakfast and shes 3 yrs old. Just a suggestion the small cooked breakfast comes with an hash brown. My little girl loves them so maybe one or the offer of one on the kids breakfast would be nice. Other than that i love this little find for a lovely breakfast and been 3 times since last month. All staff very friendly! Highly recommend

What a lovely little cafe and hidden gem! The staff are so friendly and the food is extremely fresh and tasty. We now go here on a regular basis. Great prices and atmosphere. You can also scan in with the covid-19 location app. Tables with social distancing and outdoor seating.

Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and so was the Mocha with cream and marshmallows. Great environment and was kept clean and presentable. Worth another visit.
