Lovely little cafe located overlooking the beach at Sandsend - the food and drink is nice and served quickly, and the cafe itself is clean and comfortable (and dog friendly too). If you’re passing by, or even if yours just nearby, it’s definitely worth a visit for a drink or a bite to eat!

Service is friendly and fast, the prices are fair for the location and what you get. Overall a lovely stop for a breakfast, coffee or a sweet treat!

Lovely place to stop for lunch after a walk on the Cleveland Way, great cakes for afters too!

Lovely little cafe. The weather was awful when we went so it was packed with soggy people. Food better than expected and the service with a smile on such a wet day made us fell welcome.

Shuts at 4.30 on a Tuesday, RUBBISH it was closed at 3.30 . Then people wonder about making little profits ,Ridiculous.

A very popular cafe especially with dog owners! There’s a great view of the beach. We brought a doggy cupcake for our pooch and she loved it!!!

A lovely little café with outdoor seating overlooking the beach. The patio is surrounded by high glass panels to shelter from the wind if it is blowing in off the sea. Sit and enjoy a delicious cake and hot coffee and watch the sea birds dance around the skies. Recommended if you are in sandsend and need to rest your legs for a while. The ice cream is very good quality.

Drove from Otley to come here, it's one of our favourites and worth the journey for the cakes.

Lovely cafe, great menu, fast service. A lot more seating than it looks like it has from the outside. The menu is huge and you can mix and match with the sandwiches, toasties and paninis too. It's child friendly, has a loo and options for varied diets. Free parking in Sandsend in winter, not sure about the price of other times.

Beautiful beach side cafe, eat in or eat out. Great friendly, attentive service, fantastic food.. I had the prawn sandwich lunch with coffee, about £15. Good plate full, nice coffee.. Well worth every penny. Can get busy in season time. But there is plenty of seats.

Great cafe serving good coffee, breakfast and lunch. The perfect destination especially if walking from Whitby to Sandsend (a very popular walk). Lots of outdoor seating for dog walkers, some of it covered.

We didn't eat here but did have their delicious drinks, hot chocolate & a choca mocka.

Lovely little cafe! Its becoming an annual pilgrimage for us, the staff are fantastic and the food is superb 👌 the vegetarian full English breakfast is one of the best I've ever had, highly recommend! The selection of cakes and bakes are all genuinely homemade and look delicious, we had cherry bakewell slices and they were exceptional. If you're in the area, this place is an absolute must visit if you can get a table!

Popped in today 22nd September 2024, at 10.00. the Cafe is in the best location, right on the edge of the beach overlooking the sea. There is plenty of seating both indoors and out. The Cafe was busy, but we managed to grab the best seats in the cafe, looking out into the sea. I ordered a slice of lemon drizzle cake, a cheese scone and a flat white coffee. It took around ten minutes in the queue and for the food to be plated up. The cheese scone was still warm, from being baked that morning, the best cheese scone I've ever had. The lemon drizzle cake was soft, light and moist, and the coffee rich and tasty. I managed to speak to the owners husband who was lovely and took time to explain a bit of history about the cafe. I thoroughly recommend visiting this Cafe. 10/10.

We have come to love this cafe in a very short space of time, about 3 months and 3 visits so far after years of parking and walking to Whitby for expensive Fish and chips. The food here at Sandsend Cafe is not just very good. It is above superb. Very good value for money. Lots of main protein and lots of extra salad and Coleslaw etc. There are a lot of ppl who take ages deciding only when they get to the counter staff so slow moving queues sometimes, but this is WELL WORTH A WAIT. Well worth it!! There's comfy seating indoors, semi indoors, sheltered spaces and fully outside. Nearly all have a sea view and a beach view probably over 40 miles out to sea. It is just above the beach. Nice toilet as well. It's smart. The staff are lovely. The food is to die for. I can't help myself ordering the Smoked salmon but I have to order a sandwich as the salmon salad lunch is served with salmon in a bagel and I don't like bagels. They are fine about it and I get this amazing meal with wholemal brown bread and with cream cheese and other goodies. My husband had a cheese and ham toastie with similar extra trappings. Cappuccino and tea and cold drinks are excellent. Cakes are also really homemade and above delicious. I don't even like cakes or sweet things but the date flapjack was made with a lot of butter in the biscuity bits and lovely spreading mushed dates sandwiched inside. It's irresistible. So much that we had to walk to Whitby and back to justify all the wonderful tasty calories. If you have never been here you are missing out. This is a Jenn Twenty out of Ten!!! I made it to Whitby along the beach but I cudnt make it back as my knees are just too painful so my lovely husband went and got the car. It was as always a very very good experience in every way. Tues 17th Sep 24. Here's me again just sneaking down here from Pickering. If you visit Whitby area, or even just Yorkshire Or England or the U. K. Or Europe, the globe? Your have to come here. Can't stay away. Just meet a chap who bought a house here he likes Sandsend and this cafe so much. I'm working on my husband. 😂😁😍 👍👍

Excellent place. Great quality food and great service, especially considering how busy it can get. Plenty of choice and some of the best views you could hope for. This is a regular stop for us every time we're in the area 😁

As a visitor to Sandsend, Sandsend cafe is a lively and lovely place to visit. Overlooking the beach and Seaview the food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff are lovely too and very helpful. They deserve their recent award.

Wow, take out Panini's with a smile. The staff were so happy to help with any questions. "Customer service done right!", if only other cafes and restaurants in the area could follow suit. The cakes looked awesome too.

Walked down from Whitby along the beach and found this lovely cafe. A great selection of food from breakfast rolls to pastries and scones. Its also dog friendly.

What an amazing setting, clinging to the sea wall with staggering views. There's ample seating both inside and out. The food is great and well presented with prices that are just right. I got the feeling that they were short staffed on a busier Tuesday than expected so the service seemed a bit harried. There's ample parking (pay and display) and access to the beach although I didn't see any disabled access down to the shore.

A cute little cafe with an awesome view. We sat on the outer deck. Ordered at the bar and then relaxed in the sun. The food was good. £11 for a full English breakfast. Worth a visit.

Service is exllent and is equally as good one of our favourite spots. Able to take in views which makes a brilliant place tp sit and relax as well.

A very pleasant cafe at the side of the beach. I had a crab salad which was extremely fresh and very tasty. The regular coffee was more small than regular however overall reasonable value for money and dog friendly.

Always loved this place but had a sausage bap today and the sausage ( in my opinion ) was very poor quality , more like a Richmond cheap sausage no texture and not pleasant at all. Felt quite queasy after. Bit of a shame but 2 sausage baps and 2 coffees £16.80 was not value for money.

Conveniently located cafe overlooking Sandsend beach with seating inside and out. Extensive menu, although on this occasion we only had hot drinks and a selection of cakes that were all delicious. An extra bonus were homemade cakes for our four-legged companion, which by its speedy consumption was as equally tasty. Staff friendly and welcoming, and parking close by.

Very popular cafe serving in addition to the usual offering bistro type meals. There seems to be more space at the far end which also has views over the beach. Service was good with more servers which was good as reduced waiting time at the counter. Good location and selection of cakes and sandwiches and much more doing well with the C19 as they have outside space with views over the sea. No toilet access at the moment but Saltburn has good facilities at both ends of the village.

Lovely cafe - home made cakes and scones that always delight and a friendly vibe. The outdoor terrace is wonderful - views of the beach and the sea and sheltered from any fresh sea breeze. We'll worth a visit as z rewards after a lovely coastal walk.

We paid 20p for an hrs parking on a windy rainy morning at 10:30. We had a bacon sandwich and coffee. Lots of customers coming and going and the staff never stopped

Visited here twice in as many days! The breakfast was delicious: veggie sausages, masses of scrambled egg, toast and butter. Freshly cooked and set me up for the day. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Doggy friendly too!!

Spent nearly £100 over the last week having breakfast. They missed the toast when we ordered extra and the staff wasn't happy when we brought this to their attention 🙄 😕
