The best restaurants in Streonshalh Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

The service here is amazing, super helpful and friendly and I can highly recommend the Yorkshire Fatties. We bought some last year on our holiday to Whitby, we have been back this week on holiday and have bought some more. I pre-ordered 8 to bring home too 🙂 I would highly recommend you visit if you are in Whitby.

Visited twice this weekend, lunch Friday, breakfast this morning before leaving for home .Staff are lively,very helpful, food delicious, generous portions. Best coffee in a cafe that I have had for a long time. Thank you all,see you next time!

Very good atmosphere, with the walk to the hill. Pizza was really good to prosciutto and salami pizzas ordered. The variety of beers/ales was top class

Beer was nice However the owner was incredibly rude and odd. I was here with my wife and 14 year old, we sat down and I had a pint, the girls didn’t want a drink. The owner came upstairs and told us that because they weren’t drinking we needed to leave as he needed the seats. I was confused and asked him what he wanted me to do, he said drink my drink, I said I was trying to. Very rude wouldn’t ever return.

Like stepping back in time to the 1st world war (without the bombs and guns). The pie and mash is amazing, staff were friendly and helpful. Just a great place to eat.

Being local I used to visit here a couple of times a month A year or so ago we had some bad experiences so fell out with the place So tonight was the big come back with high expectations - the staff were transactional, the choice although lots of dishes the content of the dishes restricted choice the quality was at best average There are better places to eat in Whitby and I wanted this visit to be special but unfortunately it didn’t deliver

Only went in for a coffee, lovely place very friendly staff and the owners where very nice and chatty
