Popped in for cake and drinks after coming down from the Abbey. All were very good. It’s a very small place with tight windy stairs to go upstairs and wonky tables - due to old floor. All added to the character of the place.

The Fat Lasses are even better than Fat Rascals - utterly delicious. We waited far too long to get the food delivered to our upstairs table and the room was hot - even with the window open. The coffee, as always, was great.

Tucked away in the small Whitby street, exudes old English charm and hospitality. From the friendly service to the exquisite treats, every moment here is a delightful escape. We had their luxurious hot chocolate, mokka, and freshly baked scones paired with a delectable cake—all at surprisingly affordable prices. It offers a serene oasis where tradition meets quality, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of elegance and tranquility. Highly recommended.

This is another regular stop for us while staying in Whitby. Visited twice once on a Sunday morning and on Thursday morning as most other coffee shops were closed. Cakes are delicious we shared a millionaires shortbread and a Belgian bun didn't disappoint, love the coffee but the cups are small for the price you pay and it wasn't particularly hot. Second time we shared lemon cake, the coffee was hotter this time. Not the cheapest of places but the cakes and traybakes are very tasty and large, just need to make sure coffee is hotter and in larger cups.

First visit. First impression delightful location. Extremely poor / processed quality food (not uncommon with many cafes/tea shops). Very small slice of cake and eclair with equally small dollop ice cream, cup of tea and mug coffee cost £12.70. As with the venue people seem nice. Accept dogs (which is great). Suggest review and improve quality of food and presentation. Leaving a used cigarette ashtray on table not indicative of professional service.

My wife uses a walker. We had never been to the Deli before so were unsure how to proceed. The staff completely ignored us. It was as if we were not there, or invisible. Even as we walked out of the Deli, no staff member offered any acknowledgement of us!

Gorgeous place to come to and is always on our list as a ' must go to'when we are in Filey. Beautiful setting and everything here is really delicious. The lemon meringue tart and coffee cake are to die for. It's lovely sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Sadly it was raining today and as we have a dog we couldn't go in, there was some seating under a canopy for the ice creams but sadly for us just a bit too chilly to sit out. It is cash only so that is something to always remember when visiting.

I booked this venue for my son's 40th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, and they even offered to step in when we didn't think the disco was going to come! Lovey and clean, excellent room.
