Visited during pirate weekend on Friday evening the 30th August 24 Sadly didn't seem very welcoming landlady was quite abrupt when talking to one of my friends. Definitely not the friendly atmosphere it's made out to have we felt very uneasy and left before finishing our drinks. Found a lot friendlier pubs with friendly a pirate's Inn... Won't be returning next time.!!!

Definitely loves up to its name!! If you like beer or gin then you're in the right place..... Cracking pint of Old Peculiar from the wood along with a couple of other interesting beers. Massive selection of gins. Only a small place but if you're walking past and there's a spare seat you'll be made welcome.

A small quirky microbar situated right on the harbour front. A rough and ready bar with attitude. Limited seating downstairs but more upstairs although I can't comment as I didn't look. Some unusual beers not seen elsewhere, my partner had the Blueberry which was actually blue in colour! He described it as interesting, and although it wasn't to his taste he said that it was brewed well. I had a Eaton Mess gin and it was delicious. They advertise a large selection of gins, can't remember the actual number, but lots. They have also chalked on a black beam all the owners of the property since it was built in the 1800s and what it was used for, very interesting. Although it's very small there an air conditioning unit which will be needed on sunny days. Also the seats are quite high but they provide 'one steps' to help you up and save your legs dangling, very novel and quirky lol.

Excellent, tiny pub/bar. Despite its small size, good range of draught beers, great range of spirits and a cosy atmosphere. We visited at lunchtime when it was quiet and the landlord told us about its history, then later in the evening when it was full to the point that people had to be turned away and the atmosphere was excellent. Word of warning - as of last weekend it’s cash-only. But the staff warn you in advance.

A quaint and interesting establishment. We popped in for a quick drink whilst out exploring the town and we're pleasantly surprised. The building itself was definitely quirky as the name suggests and the decor was rather alternative which I do enjoy. The place is dog friendly (small dogs only though which is fair because it's only a small bar to begin with) Sadly its cash only, would be better if they took card but apart from that I enjoyed our brief visit. The bar is well stocked with a huge verity of gins and ciders and loads of other booze and the staff were nice and pleasant even under pressure when one of the pumps malfunctioned. Would definitely recommend just bring a wad of cash!
