An excellent meal with impeccable service and attention to our needs. Food at around £35-40 per head, but good value for the whole experience. There is an extensive a la carte menu as well as a fixed menu and a tasting menu (only for the whole table). One could mix and match from the first two, as well as slight variations to the detail. We didn't have any wine so I cannot comment about that.

Came on a very cold weekday lunchtime in February for a pizza and pint and it was very busy. Not surprising as both were fantastic. Kid and dog friendly as well.

Very small. Which is the only negative. Great service , interaction by male owner on my visit. Great range of beers including Old Peculier from a wooden cask. Other plus issues dog friendly and cash only. Great visit . Highly recommend. Has now changed owners, in 2023. Much still the same. Although payment is preferred by cash they now except plastic. Beers ok but not brilliant. They now have one of these Alexa devices that can play all sorts of music depending on your taste
