We walked up to here from where we were staying. Very rural and restful surroundings. Very adequate menu for lunch and excellent prices. We enjoyed our visit here. This village and café is definitely off the beaten track and a long way from a main road but definitely worth the effort of finding it.

Nice friendly village and friendly residents. Everyone is welcoming and talks to you. A great village to go and see as it is mostly self sufficient within itself. Lots to see and a great library.

Well worth a visit to the cafe and gift shop. Set in beautiful countryside, just a stones throw off the North Yorkshire Moors.

A bit of magic in the middle of nowhere. Fantastic organic treats and cakes. Good fresh coffee and always an interesting company to chat with. weekend opening hours should be made more attractive to the general public.

For those that don't know. Botton village is a very special place and when we made our visit it was an humbling experience for us both. To yourself enjoy that which we did you need to make the pilgrimage in your own way. I am sure you will leave after your visit and taking tea in the cafe that your view on the charity of others will be improved on your mind.

The cafe in botton village is part of a much wider complex run by the camp hill village trust! The set up is unique in that many residents of botton have learning disabilities and they live in households with families and volunteers! The cafe is clean and brightly lit and the greeting you get is so warm and friendly! The coffee was excellent and the price was very reasonable to boot! The village is situated in amazing countryside and well worth s visit for anyone

Didn’t disappoint! Our friends who live in Scarborough have been singing this little gems praises for a while and we finally got to go as a group The absolute best cocktails I have ever had we tried 6/7 from the menu between us and they were all beautifully prepared and all delicious Lovely friendly mixologist who makes these beauties with care and attention and the presentation is exquisite. Can’t recommend the Jam jar cafe enough we will be back.

Just called for a drink when passing, and so glad I did. The hot chocolate was gorgeous and hot (usually others ive tried from different outside vendors tend to be tepid at best), the staff friendly, and was great value for money. Would definitely recommend you try here. Great little place with fantastic views too!

Awesome ale house. Great selection of beers and ciders, plus a couple of non alcoholic beverages (Guinness zero, Koppaberg etc).
