The best restaurants in Myton Kingston upon Hull, City of Yorkshire and The Humber

Went in last night (07/09/2024) for the first time before and after our visit to Hull City Hall. Great atmosphere, music was great, had karaoke earlier on around 5.30pm and they were some great singers. Bar staff and doormen friendly and fun, was nice to see them dancing and getting along with customers. Would be on my go-to list on our night out. 12 of us went on Sunday for afternoon tea,if you are thinking of going don’t,we had to ask for the sausage rolls we were told they are not on the menu for afternoon tea anymore then they were brought out on 2 trays. The cream and jam for the scones was brought out on 2 trays so we had to pass them around,the cream was squirting cream so by the time we came to put it on the scones it had evaporated,we had to ask for the teas and coffee when we booked we said there would be 2 children so we were told they could have soft drinks instead but we had to pay for them,the service left a lot to be desired.

Dined here tonight with my Wife, food as always was delicious, especially the Fully Loaded Wrap. We do love a good Nando’s

was early meeting my friend, was welcomed by lovely friendly staff and directed me to an empty table! Should of booked as there wasn't many available. sat next to the cosy warm fire. Very popular place for a Tuesday evening. we ordered half a cider and large wine at the bar which was very well priced. We ordered our food at the bar and when it arrived it was super yummy. wasn't disappointed at all. Staff were super lovely. 100% will go again.

My husband and I visited the restaurant today hoping to have lunch with a view to making a future reservation for 16 people for a Birthday celebration. My husband and I stood in the reception area of the restaurant for 7 minutes waiting to be seated. It was clear that the staff knew that we were waiting as we were the only people awaiting a table but nobody even acknowledged our presence. Not surprisingly, given this level of poor service, the place was almost empty at lunchtime on a Bank Holiday. We walked out in disgust and made the reservation elsewhere which provided the kind of service that we are accustomed to. Shame on The Holiday Inn. This is the second shoddy experience I've had with the Holiday Inn and I've only been to two of them!!

Mientras yo estaba en el casco antiguo me encontré con el breve, que es una cafetería/bar diminuto con mucho carácter. Había un pequeño menú disponible en el momento que he visitado. La comida que pedí estaba delicioso y a un precio razonable, este fue un gran lugar para parar mientras estaba explorando la ciudad.

We have written several reviews for Bert’s Pasta in the past but, in all fairness, it’s upward trajectory from ‘could do better’ to a place you would recommend to anyone fond of well sourced, beautifully cooked and seasoned, Italian dishes is phenomenal! The food and service is sublime; thank you chef and Yvonne!

I’ve ordered from this takeaway 4 times. The first time ordering the takeaway the food had taken 1.5 hours to arrive, which was fine because the food was really really enjoyable and good value for money. I had ordered a 2nd time in February and 3rd time. Both on Saturdays. Waiting for my order to arrive both times to receive a text to say the takeaway is closed and my money will be refunded in 2-5 working days! After the first time this happened, I ensured to check online to see if they’re open which it stated it was! I then ordered again tonight, after checking online to see if they’re open (the last time I will) to receive a text to say it’s closed and my money will be refunded in 2-5 working days. Because of their poor management of the business as far as stating they’re open when closed and allowing orders to be processed on their app they have lost a customer. Poor customer service, no apologises, no correct opening times. Unsure how they can operate a business effectively in this way. Time will tell, I hope it would improve because the potential is there, the consistency just needs to improve!

Cheap beer, staff very welcoming. They dont sell food here. If you pay for a wristband certain drinks are discounted. Friday afternoon is Bingo.

This place can be wonderful .but it can also be average .the lobster is wonderful The steaks can be hit and miss .but I do keep returning
