Ponto Lounge is a go-to choice whenever I'm in the city center on sunny winter days, enjoying a coffee and brunch while admiring the play of colors in the sun’s rays.

OK place ???, well after visiting four times and Sunday been an eye opener,as it seems not a care is given to the customers, I ordered a rum taki cocktail that my wife had before and enjoyed, but this was a poor excuse of an ice filled drink, at £8 the wife tried it and returned it, were the manager and bar waitress were adiment that its standard, when trying to blame another member of staff,for giving a better product, did not even a refund on this as she had take 2 sips and did not like it, changing the rating to a lower as food and beverage professional it certainly is far from it. and seems that it did not take long to decline, to a poor excuse of what looked like a ice drink for kids at a corner shop, with flavour added. Yuk

Nice breakfast and swapped a couple of things out like for like.

Vine aquí para pasar un tiempo con mamá y papá, ya que estoy de vacaciones anuales esta semana y una vez más Pontos no decepcionó. Me tomé el té helado de sandía porque es mi ir a beber cada vez que entro y tomé el desayuno grande todo el día que era tan delicioso hasta el punto de que estaba luchando por comerlo nada personal allí era tan grande que lo como todo de todos modos. Mamá tomó un café con leche y Shakshuka sin gluten, mientras que papá tomó la hamburguesa de queso con tocino y papas fritas con una pinta de Brixton (creo que se llama) Me parece fácil hablar con los miembros del personal también. Volveré de nuevo de otro té helado de sandía. Gran lugar para venir No podría recomendarlo más es uno de mis lugares favoritos de la ciudad para la comida y refrescos.

Rather too loud music for tea time on a Saturday at 5pm so spoiled it a bit as older people seemed to be dining and trying to have conversations over too loud music.

I've ventured in here with my pooch a few times recently. Generally go in for a coffee and a pupacinno for the pooch, and rest my legs. Enjoy and take in the decor. The staff are always pleasant, and my last visit I was offered complimentary coffee and Charlie my pooch got an extra pupaccino. He loves it there. Made to feel welcome, and valued. Nothing is too much trouble. And I have to say Ive been away from hull for many years, this really makes the return worth it. Food I've witnessed a little, but well presented and very tasty. Coffee is soo good. Only thing I'd add is I wish the cupps were bigger. Sometimes they may be a short wait, but you can't rush perfection. Well done. Go in, sit down, treat yourself. you'll forget your in hull.

Food is nice, but the place is so busy, that you have to wait a bit, before you get it. Luckily it's always hot.

Best place to eat in chepstow! This might not be a cheap option but it's worth every penny, and you can play one of their available board games. Love it!

Encontramos una mesa preciosa en el centro del restaurante, en un ambiente agradable y relajado que miramos por encima del menú. Después de unos diez minutos ambos optamos por el pollo enmantecado para nuestro plato principal y un par de bebidas para acompañarlo. Cuando fuimos a hacer nuestro pedido nos informaron de que no había comidas en el menú principal disponible, ya que todos se habían vendido el día anterior. Puedo entender que el artículo extraño se agote más tarde en el día, pero no tener opciones principales disponibles al mediodía parece increíble. Totalmente asombrados por esta la información, nos fuimos sintiéndonos muy decepcionados. Las primeras impresiones son vitales y siento decir que nuestra primera experiencia fue una decepción.

A deliberate pastiche of industrial chic and bohemian whimsy, where exposed brick whispers tales of forgotten artisans and velvet banquettes cradle the weary soul like a cherished sonnet. The lighting, oh, the lighting! A chiaroscuro masterpiece, casting flattering shadows upon the assembled cognoscenti, each sip of their meticulously crafted beverages bathed in a golden, almost reverential glow. And the atmosphere? Nice casual vibe. table service app didn't work for me and food took a little while to arrive but was a busy Sunday

Fairly ok price wise. It looks better from the outside. The staff were friendly and polite, we didn't hace to wait too long for 2 x breakfast (one large, one reg - see pics). We did get an extra egg and an extra mushroom. The tables were extremely sticky and greasy, to the point I didn't want to rest my arms on the tables. The ketchup dispenser was also super greasy and sticky. The ketchup should also be called red vinegar!! We had a couple of teas too. The bathroom was excellent considering the condition of the tables!! I'm not sure if they're really on it with lavatory cleaning or as it was dead that not too many people had used the facilities so it was still clean from whoever cleaned it. I'd probably not go again, but would say it's worth a one time visit to say you've been.

The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than looking after the guests. The soup of the day was completely tasteless, just water, carrots and pepper. It was inedible. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she simply said “OK” and walked away. I understand that the soup of the day changes, but this was carrot flavoured water, not soup, which is a completely different thing. I had to wait an hour from ordering for my churros. After finishing my Lounge Eggs, they arrived twenty five minutes later only after I chased them up. Would not recommend. The service was seriously lacking.

Poor service today at the bar. Food was poor and looked like it had been made by first year uni students...especially burnt and crispy. No one came to ask about the food and if they had I would have told them and shown them, so posting here. Seems to have reduced service and food quality, whilst increasing prices Have previously posted a positive review (years ago) and enjoyed it until last time and this time: Like it a lot, friendly staff, good menu, great atmosphere. Beer choices on tap a bit limited.

I always pop in whenever I visit from Scotland. Love the gluten free food.

Pedí el brindis con marmita y salsa vegana para untar. La pasta para untar vegana que se entregaba con la tostada era líquida e imperturbable. Cuando pedí un poco de untable vegano que no fuera líquido, me dijeron que el untable vegano no se podía intercambiar, ya que el chef mantiene todo el líquido de untable vegano para su uso en otros platos. TOTALMENTE INACEPTABLE y arruinó mi almuerzo

Sadly it's not as good now as when it opened, we used to be there on a weekly basis, alas no more. I've given it a miss for about a year and I thought I would try again. Not sure if it's the chef or the quality of the food such a shame because there's not many options for a decent meal in the town anymore.

Estaban atentos sin ser dominantes. Nunca me sentí apresurado, lo que siempre es una ventaja durante un almuerzo de trabajo. En general, Ponto Lounge Hull era una buena opción. Buena comida, servicio y un ambiente relajado, ¡es un lugar al que volvería para otro almuerzo con el equipo!

I recently had a work lunch at Ponto Lounge Hull, it was such a pleasant experience. The food was delicious –flavourful, and well presented. I appreciated the variety of options, making it easy for everyone to find something they liked. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they made sure we felt comfortable throughout the meal. They were attentive without being overbearing. I never felt rushed, which is always a bonus during a work lunch. All in all, Ponto Lounge Hull was a good choice. Good food, service and a relaxed atmosphere – it’s a place I’d return to for another lunch with the team!

Arrived at 10am and they were closed, on abusy Saturday morning, in darkness, and the sign saying they were open. Poor show.

I was deeply disappointed myself and my friend went there today, the chicken that we both had was burnt and dry, I had the scrap bits of the chips and one T Spoon of slaw and the same with the maple bbq sauce. We did ask for more slaw the server took my plate showed it to the man behind the bar and he said that’s the right measure but he will get us some more, so what you see on the pictures is definitely not what you get. Also my friend ordered a hot chocolate it came in a small cup and was not even hot. The man behind the bar did not look approachable at all. This is the second time I’ve been the first time I went all the kitchen staff and servers were having a massive augmented. So we choose to sit down stairs this time. When we came out we pumped in to a bunch of friends and they say that’s the owner goes on the defensive rather than making customers happy!. So sadly dissatisfied £17 for lunch what a waist of money!!!

Lovely atmospheric restaurant in the centre of Hull, great vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Delicious food and drinks, large variety of meals. Menu changes often so there's always something new to try.

Believe this is 1 of the best bars in Hull to chill, have bite to eat & drinks. Wish they would provide more high tables & chairs, only 2 on ground floor 🙄

My 1st experience of Ponto was for christmas dinner with my work. We paid £26 each for 3 courses. I was the last one to be served waiting 5 minutes more than everyone, I ordered Pork Belly and I did not receive this. I am still not sure what I got but it wasn't nice, I told a member staff and received nothing back!

Came for a coffee which was of a great, hot enough to last but still very flavourful and a good consistency. Comfortable seating and sofas available, although it hosts lots of tables, it doesn't feel cramped or crowded. QR code ordering makes it so you're not having to queue or miscommunicate your menu choices. Decor is quirky and gives a nice distraction to other people dining. Toilets are downstairs and down more stairs but there is a more accessible toilet available that I saw after returning up stairs and stairs.

Fantastic place, food is fabulous too.

Overall it was great, definitely recommend. But one of the staff members was quite rude in the way she greeted us, she wasn’t welcoming. But every other staff member was great and the service was quick!!

One of our party were sadly unable to attend. We were unaware that she had been taken poorly that afternoon, not until we went to pick her up. The grumble we have is that despite the T&Cs saying a charge of £5 would be made for any non attendance. We were told that we would have to pay the full cost for their meal. We agreed to this and requested a box to put the meal in so we could take it away but were advised that you could not provide this. We asked for the meal to be delivered to the table anyway. A local takeaway came to our rescue and very kindly gave me a carton and bag after I explained what had happened. We did consider leaving and just paying the £5 each for everyone, as this would have been cheaper. But we had driven to Hull, parked and made our way and there were not really any other options near by. So we decided to pay the full cost for our absent friends meal rather than just the £5 each, as stated in the T&Cs. Paying for the meal of our absent friend was about £7 each. The positive from this is our friend can enjoy her meal later today. A little meals on wheels treat for our friend.

We attended the restaurant for an annual Christmas meal with friends The atmosphere and table setting were absolutely lovely. Staff were pleasant, a real credit to the restaurant. The starter and main dish were both really nice food, cooked well and nicely presented. The puddings not so much, they were cold and quite dry. But we were so full from the first 2 courses! The only grumble we had, which wasn’t really an issue, just more disappointing, was that one of our party was sadly unable to attend. Went in at 0940 today, a female member of staff asked me to hang on, then disappeared. I got sick of waiting for her to sort the big delivery out. Cafe nero it is then.

We had a fantastic time here. Food and service was faultless. Only thing I would change is maybe lower the volume slightly on the background. It's a bit loud. Otherwise all good 👍.

Vegan Beyond burger not seasoned and felt more warmed through than cooked through. Very disappointed for the price and to be honest this didn't feel like a "Beyond" burger more like a substitute but this may have been due to it not being cooked long enough?

First time visiting with my partner and my dog since it was dog friendly which is lovely. We had some cocktails which was delicious especially the cherry Bakewell! It was a quiet evening so service was quick and the atmosphere was peaceful. Will be back for more cocktails again soon and maybe to try the food.

We love the Lounges! They're a home away from home. Great food, not your average run of the mill pub grub. Good drinks selection. Atmosphere is always comfortable and staff are always lovely

After pre booking a table for 10 then following the request to pre order our meals via email the experience wasn't the best. After not hearing back that our order had arrived i rang.Spoke to a staff member who found the order in the spam mail (Not sure why when it was a reply to the email they sent) He assured me it would be passed on and sorted. Saturday came 2 hours before reservation a message came through that they hadn't got the order. When called back they had found it in the spam mail!!! 1 meal was not available which after ordering 5 days in advance was rubbish. Arrived 10 mins before booked time told table was ready upstairs,wasn't shown to table,wasn't told you had to order drinks at the bar or via app, customer service was basically non existent . Food was fair not the greatest . Will not be visiting again.

The bacon was almost raw it was so undercooked, didn't get jalapeños on my diablo burger and it took about 30 minutes. Used to really like it here, hope it was an off day.

I don't like that there is no one to take your order

Visited hull and fancied something to eat but struggled to find anything decent, then came across this cafe bar, looked nice from inside and outside...so we decided to order two coffees and two breakfasts can not fault the service very polite and helpful...so when we sat down 5 minutes later our breakfasts came and the food looked lovely on the plate well took on bite out of the sausage...tasted revolting off and stake had a nasty taste so immediately put us off so we left basically two full plates of food and walked out...if your looking for a drink then fine but the food was revolting which is a shame.

Really had a great time here today. The food was on point, really tasty 🤤 The squid was great, but this smashed burger with extra beef brisket, was amazing 😁

This was my second time being at ponto. Emily was absolutely amazing! Such a cheery and bubbly atmosphere she is definately an asset to the ponto team. The food was absoultely delicious and the service was fast and friendly.

“Espera a que te sientes” decía en el cartel de la entrada. Bastante bien, así que esperamos, y esperamos, y esperamos. Fuimos vistos esperando por al menos dos miembros del personal que nos dejaron completamente en blanco sin siquiera un acuse de recibo de nuestra llegada. Una camarera nos miró mientras subía con una copa. Ella bajó de nuevo e ignoró el hecho de que todavía estábamos esperando. He visitado otros negocios de marca en la cadena Loungers, y hasta hoy he disfrutado de buena comida con excelente servicio. Claramente, esto es algo que debemos evitar, como hicimos para gastar nuestro dinero en otro lugar.

Travelled 30 miles to try pontos as they have a huge gluten free menu for my wife,i had the diablo burger it was absolutely beautiful best burger in a long time.The gluten free burger my wife loved it,food was out quickly and the price is reasonable, portions perfect and the interior is brilliantly set up with loads of room between the tables.100% going to be returning once a month

Not all staff are helpful. Asked someone what the daily soup was, and he told us, only to be told by the same person when going to order that there was none left. Why did he think we were asking when we were at the table? 🤔

Vino a almorzar para 2 y pidió usando el código QR. 45 minutos después y todavía no hay comida a pesar de que la gente entra 20 minutos después de que habíamos pedido y ya se sirve con sus comidas (que eran las mismas que las nuestras, así que no como si pedimos nada que tomó mucho tiempo). Solo pedimos una hamburguesa y un sándwich también. Preguntó dónde estaba nuestra comida y dijo que serían otros 5 minutos. No hay explicación. Finalmente llegó la comida y el tocino de la hamburguesa estaba casi crudo y completamente incomestible. Por lo que pagamos no valió la pena la espera o la molestia.

Excelente ubicación y agradable bienvenida y ambiente. Servicio rápido y un delicioso brunch. Estábamos explorando el casco antiguo, y nos gustó el encanto interior del establecimiento. La comida era una delicia y el personal era atento y educado. Solo estábamos de visita, pero volveríamos a comer aquí, dado más tiempo! Gracias.

Pretty cool vibe, pretty good food

I like the layout, very open and spacious. There's a clean, modern feel to the place and you can tell how new it is to Hull town centre. Bar staff were friendly but I wouldn't recommend the cocktails here, the 'Long Island Spiced Tea' fell a bit flat despite sounding like an appetising concoction.

It's one of the best places to eat in Hull for a relaxed meal. Atmosphere is chilled out. Staff are friendly. There's a few things available for kids to play with. It's the perfect location in Hull as well. It's perhaps more expensive than some people are used to. However, you get what you pay for.

Tapas was beautiful 😍 and the glass of wine made me want to research where I can buy the bottle 👌🏼

As always very good, I have now tried almost everything on the menu and it never disappoints. Just a lovely place!

Ponto lounge offers a pleasant dining experience, especially for those seeking vegan options. While the vegan breakfast I tried was decent and reasonably priced at £9.95, I felt it could have been more satisfying. The 2 little falafels, in particular, seemed a bit out of place in a breakfast dish—I would suggest replacing them with something more substantial. However, this is just a personal preference. On the positive side, the staff are polite and attentive, and the service is impressively quick. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a good spot for both families and couples. The eclectic decor adds a unique touch to the overall ambiance. I’m looking forward to returning to try their vegan lunch offerings in the future.

My daughter is gluten intolerance and there a a great menu for he to choose from. We both had a breakfast and it was fab so much so that we cleared our plates. Will defo eat here when she visits again. Stafff were lovely x

My expectations were high as I often visit the Nottigham portello lounge, which is part of this chain of restaurants, and the food and service are always excellent. Not so the case in Hull. The restaurant was not the cleanest and was looking a bit shabby, especially upstairs, where it could do with a lick of paint. The menu is identical to the Nottiingham eatery, but the food was only warm and no real care taken on the presentation. The portion sizes seemed on the smaller side to what I am used to (especially the fries). The staff, in some cases, were ignorant and not really interested in making it a place you want to be. There were plenty of staff, seemingly doing nothing with me having to wait to get served with only one person behind the bar. It's a pity realy as it's in a prime spot in the town centre. The eateries near the marina seem to be busier and I can understand why.

This is our go to place with the kids. Great menu choices and very tasty. The only reason I've not given 5 stars is because sometimes the tables are a bit sticky, but this is sorted without fuss when I ask for it to be wiped down.

I love going to ponto. The food is delicious, and it has a cosy atmosphere. They cater for my gluten intolerance, which is always great. The salmon and eggs is my favourite, and the cakes are lovely! I highly recommend, especially for a catch up with friends, or a pitstop for lunch 😋

My friend and I dined here last night. The atmosphere and food was excellent (second visit to this restaurant) and it was as good as the first time we visited. The staff are very professional and friendly in their approach to customers which makes for excellent customer service. My friend and I witnessed first hand how professional the staff are after an incident with an aggressive patron was asked to leave. They did not make a fuss and dealt with the incident quickly and quietly as not to disturb other diners and even apologised for the disturbance. My friend and I accepted this however it was not necessary as being abusive to staff is never acceptable. Absolutely amazing..nothing to fault at all

I try something new each time I go in and tonight I had Thai prawn noodle dish which was fantastic never had a bad meal.

I enjoyed a delectable Nasi Goreng paired with a refreshing watermelon iced tea. If you enjoy spicy cuisine, this Malaysian dish is a must-try. My friend ordered an American pancake, which looked absolutely scrumptious. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the ambiance was perfect for a brunch.
