Went for a meal before going to the theatre, and the food was beautiful.

Absolutely love this beautiful place and the food is always delicious and fresh. Staff are very helpful and always attentive. Lovely clean place.

Aw no sauce again guys. How can I eat cami with no sauce. Twice this happened now.

The two of us had haddock, chips and mushy peas. It was awful. It tasted liked the haddock had been refried and the chips were dry. We complained but we were met with blank stares..so we paid up and left never to return

Food was terrible and forgotten about, didn’t even eat the food and wasn’t offered anything. I will not be returning

Wanted to sit down for lunch, I ordered mixed grill and a pasta dish for my daughter, although didn't get to eat any as she came across unwell whilst waiting for the food to be cooked, so I can only say the pasta looked nice. My mixed grill was cooked perfectly, if I was to be constructive, the salad was tiny and a grilled tomato would have made a positive difference. Service was great, we were greated at the door and seated straight away without appointment, Thank you.

Used this restaurant many times when going to the theater but it seems to have gone downhill doorway looked dirty window smashed On entering not a warm welcome e from the staff .The chicken mushroom pasta was terrible no mushrooms and tough chicken .complained but staff did not seem bothered till I told them we were not paying the they reluctantly took it off the bill. we won't be commi g again l

Used to eat here regularly and haven't eaten in the restaurant for years. Not disappointed. The omelette was lovely and light. Service was good, its a little lacking in atmosphere to what I remembered however the food certainly makes up for this.

Reasonable food, Reasonable prices. We were a bit cold. The atmosphere is a mix between a cafe and a restaurant. It was a convenient stop before visiting the Hull theatre.

Always eat here, excellent food & staff are very pleasant.

Breakfast was ok. The bacon was a bit too crispy for my liking, no black.pudding either. Apart from that it was ok

We visited the Omelette restaurant on a rainy Saturday night and it was very quiet only two other tables taken, the lady serving was polite, and efficient, Food arrived quickly and was very nice , big portions and good choices, and great price. The Decor is a bit dated but would still recommend as a place to eat in Hull.

Good table service but slow despite few customers. Very poorly maintained toilets used for junk storage. Food ok but salad a bit dry.

I didn’t have the opportunity to evaluate the cuisine, since the wait for shrimp and risotto took more than half an hour! At the same time, the waiter said that the kitchen was not very busy and the wait would be 15-20 minutes. We really wanted to have a snack before the train, but we couldn’t.

This is not Indian Google suggested it as Indian breakfast but it is not

Food is always top quality Their omelettes are always light and fluffy, with lots of options for fillings. My partner usually gets a breakfast and has often asked if they can swap some items and it's never an issue.

Had lunch. Not my type. Be prepared to add salt and pepper.

Both had a ribeye steak not cheap .was very fatty told the staff she was interested ,didn't say a word .staff also had a young son with her running around during working .atmosphere wasn't great .been loads time for a change .

Food was lovely but waited 40 minutes to arrive as guest of more people arrived after us got food before us & had similar food our food only came when we had to ask waitress were our food was who came back with it 5 min later with no apology or anything service needs looking at

I lost a fair bit of my meal due to it being put on it side and the custard had gone into it , also the chap couldn’t understand what I said when telling him how to enter the building

We were disappointed with the whole event. The service was slow, however, the one person serving worked very hard. Another waitress arrived 20 minutes later. I ordered smoked salmon and small prawn omelette (Atlantic omelette) the whole omelette was limited in flavour and in my opinion the salmon was not smoked. The chips were also dry and tasteless. The Prosecco was only just drinkable. We have frequented this restaurant for many years but the whole experience is not the standard it was. Such a shame as it was always our favourite, after a trip to the theatre.

Only criticism is add more salt to the pasta to get the flavour. The rest was brilliant especially the prawns! Affordable too

Although the restaurant wasn't busy in time we were there, I was surprised to be told that our table 'nearly went to someone else' because we were 9 minutes late? Not a very good way to welcome customers, especially if you need their money! More staff training is required.

Central Hull, convenient for theatre, clean and tidy. There is an array of food choices from snacks, full breakfast, to grills and salads.

First time here every thing was lovely the food the staff , reasonable prices will definitely be going again soon.

Very nice place, we got breakfast and it was delicious. For sure we will come back.

My friend and I ordered scampi, for the money was not worth it. When I cut into the scampi, I have no idea what was in it but I have not tasted anything like it. It was hard and it tasted nothing like scampi. My friends was not as bad as mine but some of it was the same. The waitress took it away and asked if I wanted anything else, I had a jacket potato, it was OK, lots of prawns. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Chips were cold, hard and inedible. Couldn't even get the dog to eat them. First time my Chips have been colder than my salad.

We arrived at 12.15 expecting it to be busy at peak eating time but apart from couple of tables it was empty. We should have realised then that this once popular eatery was no longer what it was in the past. Despite leaving the majority of my mousska and telling the waitress that it was the worst one I’ve ever had I received no apology and no offer of free sweet or a refund. This isn’t how to rebuild what was once a thriving business. Needless to say I won’t even consider going back.

Had breakfast with family. It was alright. I had the English Breakfast with brown toast and a hot chocolate. I thought it'd be great to have a wee pot of hot water as I wanted to keep my hot choc warm and less concentrated/sweet... I didn't get the chance to ask for the hot water, it was a busy morning, I guess. The waitresses were very busy that morning but luckily a lovely lady attended to us and our order came faster than I anticipated... I was famished.

Went in group of 15. Staff very good, very polite and helpful, great service. Everyone enjoyed it. Good choice if food reasonably priced.

Was very busy, we had table booked for 6pm & didn't get food till 6.50pm and as we were going to the New Theatre we had to rush to eat. Also it was very cold didn't seem to get any heating!

Tried the pan fried liver, it was perfectly cooked with a lovely gravy, I really like this place, never had a bad meal

Pre show meal. Good menu choice. Reasonable price for portion size. Couldnt complain about the service. Only let down very overpriced drinks.

The food was very poor I had a pasta meal and all I could taste was herb coriander which spoilt my meal,took 40mins to come aswell wasn't even asked if the meal was OK,my girlfriend had beef wrap which she liked but chips was too greasey.

We booked a table at omelet for saterday 4th November , on arrival we were told there’s no booking made , we showed them confirmation on the phone , a women came from the back of the restaurant we were told there’s a table over there but we had to be out by a certain time as it was for there REGULARS the women was so rude , then asked for a liquor coffee and was told sorry never been shown how to make them and I am not going to try as it’s to busy ,the attitude of the women giving us a table was disgusting no management skills at all ,if that’s how they treat customers god help the company who run it we did get some discount but that’s not the point WILL NOT BE GOING BACK

Popped into this restaurant (been many times before) about 4 pm on a Friday with no reservation and were accommodated. The meal came quickly and was superbly cooked, piping hot and very tasty. My wife had gammon and I had the moussaka and both were great quality. Waitress service was excellent from a friendly efficient and organised staff member Recommend this place completely. Close to the city centre and New Theatre. Plenty of reasonably priced parking nearby. Please be aware that there are old menus and prices still on-line which do not reflect today's pricing. Doesn't detract from a great experience.

They were very busy but managed to find us a table. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Lovely place and very convenient for the theatre up the road. It is so good I'd advice you to book ahead to gaurentee a table.

Delivery. Every 5 minutes or so expected time of delivery kept getting longer and longer. When thefood eventually arrived, cold, lamb tough as old boots, rice bland. Not impressed at all, wouldn't recommend at all.

Had a lovely pre-theatre meal. Two salads with salmon and prawns and steak. Enough salmon/prawns for the salad which was ample. Steak was lovely and cooked to how we asked. Chunky chips were great and we ordered side portion wedges which were huge and very enjoyable. Great value for money.

Terrible! Wait time was not acceptable. The food has no seasoning at all. All meals were very bland. The waitress was not bothered at all when we told her. When I paid she was confrontational about our feedback basically calling us liers. Used to be a fantastic place to eat. I would question if the omelettes are actually made with real eggs, the consistency was weird. I think it might be powdered egg. We will not be returning.

Went for tea the food and service was great(could be we wer the only ones in) but really the food was hot only bottled beer no pumps would go again

The staff were really helpful, I'd been to the dentist earlier and needed something soft, they did me a lovely fluffy mushroom and cheese omelette with no chips or salad. Just what I needed, as I was still numb from the injections. I accompanied it with a cool glass of apple juice. I'll be back, in fact I've booked for us all before we go to the theatre.

Such a lovely breakfast and the staff was very friendly.

I always think of an omelette as a 'light bite' and so was expecting better as the establishment is called The Omelette and it was nothing special (I make better at home). I had my mixed veg omelette with a jacket potato and small salad garnish, followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard (nice) and a tonic water and thought the price tag of £22+ was expensive. Probably will not return.

First time visit although its been here at least 55 years in city centre convenient for the theatre. Very clean, menu mostly mediterranian but other choices available.

We just popped in after the theatre. It was lovely. We will go again

Disappointed with the food, the chef must have changed, I've ordered the curry many times and today it was totally different, it wasn't inedible but it wasn't what I wanted, also the sticky toffee pudding was burnt, shame as I won't use again

Had to stay in Hull for 2 nights and finding the Omelette Restaurant was a huge win! Service was polite, professional but still very friendly Had the mixed grill for one - kofta, lamb chop, a marinated lamb kebab and a chicken kebab, with homemade thick chips and salad Very filling but was hugely enjoyable Good food at a reasonable price!

First time we've been in Omelette & highly recommend it.!!

Absolutely love this place, always great food and great service. Prices are typical restaurant prices, but the standard of food is superior to most places. I would definitely recommend the prawns in garlic and chilli for a starter

My husband & I have been Sunday lunch regulars for quite some time now, from day 1 on arrival friendly welcoming, meals arrived reasonably quickly.They are cooked fresh so do understand re short wait. Cafe is always clean & staff very polite & friendly, never had to complain about the food in 2 years,it arrives at the table hot & just as we ordered. Thank you to all staff.Will continue to eat here on Sunday's.

Well I phoned for a takeout just a chicken n mushroom omlette didn't even get chips just got a salad and I was charged £12.99 Yet there is no other omlette ok n the menu this expensive all around £8 served with chips also I think they saw me coming absurdly disgusting price

I did not receive my order! Asked for update from restaurant but was ignored.

Was terrible I ordered eggs Benedict and it was served cold the sauce was shockingly made and resembled water which made it completely soggy , the bacon served with it was cold and hard 😩😩😩 I mentioned this to the staff but wasn’t offered any sort of REAL discount , just a sorry and good bye. Don’t intend to use this place ever again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone .
