Manor Farm in Kingston upon Hull, City of

We visited on Easter Sunday as a group of 7 to celebrate my father in law’s birthday. We opted to have the carvery but we’re very disappointed to discover that the choice of beef was taken off, so it left gammon or turkey. Neither of which I enjoy. When I questioned the chef behind the servery he seemed not to care at all about my predicament and indicated that the only choices were the aforementioned. Ok round one over, Round two cold plates, cold vegetables and gravy that was at best luke warm. Not a place I would recommend and shall never visit again.

This is a nicely decorated restaurant with another bar area for 18 and over the food is stunning like other sizzling pubs in the area and I would heavily recommend.

Megan was absolutely brilliant, went above and beyond to change my meal when it was slightly incorrect. Could not recommend more and we would return simple for the service Megan provided! Highly recommend for a great evening with lovely food!

The staff are very friendly and have nice smiles, the food and drink is delicious. The service is fast. The parking is good.

Ordered stake and chicken combo asked for well done stale and may aswell been medium/rare and the chicken was uncooked was still pink inside

Bit disappointed, I ordered the hot clucking chicken meal and when it arrived the chips and chicken was cold and there were no onion rings with the meal. I did eat it but it was not enjoyable. My son ordered the lasagne and the to was hard on the surface and not edible. I was going to mention this to the waitress when she asked how was our meal but she did not ask so we just left.

The stupid young immature bar staff need to learn how to communicate with customers, a hello would be nice, a nice attitude would be amazing, I don't like being grunted at when they clearly don't understand a pint of john smiths and half of carling is quite simple to understand, unless of course your a regular then alls good end of

Got there at 4pm and had to wait an hour and 20 minutes for our food and it wasn't due to it being busy either as people who had ordered their food after me got theirs before I did.

The sad part of this is I told my wife we would be disappointed once more, and yet, we still went for dinner. The pub is conveniently close to our house and so we return once and again despite all, but I vow never to go back. The food is a mismatch of success. Odd is the day everything goes well with our party, be just the two of us or with more family members. A steak will be full of fat and would have nothing to rescue, someone’s food is forgotten or another is cold. The organisation is so bad it is difficult to believe. The evening in question we arrived at 17.30 and were told we’d have to wait 35 minutes. By the time I ordered it was 45 (this is the longest I’m ready to wait) but it took over double that to get our food. The excuse was a large party they had in the function room. Apparently they had not preordered and had brought more people than communicated. And so what? It is not my problem… when you have a large party confirmed it should be much easier to plan ahead. Other customers were in the same position and between us commented “they haven’t been served either and were here before us”, “she’s gone twice to complain”… and so we did, and were offered a free drink we didn’t take. I was ready to cancel the order and go home and when I said so we were served. I am certain my dish wasn’t for me, because I ordered surf and turf with no onions and they brought me a steak that had been resting on onions, and no scampi. They took the dish back and brought me the tiniest 6 pieces of scampi I’ve seen. My wife enjoyed her steak, although they forgot the sauce - of course they did.

Food is above standard, beer is cheap too

Just had Sunday lunch here for the first time in a long time, the food and service was excellent, the queuing system works a treat, will definitely be going back.

Called here yesterday evening (Wednesday) for midweek It was very busy & the staff seemed really overwhelmed, after a lengthy wait at the bar to order we were informed food would be 40 minute wait but we had drinks so a wait wasn’t a problem. 50 minutes later the food arrived mine was alright but my husbands mixed grill wasn’t great. The sausage was black on the outside & just cooked on the inside, steak was a strange looking charcoal coloured lump of meat but was ok once cut into. The gammon was fatty & the whole plate of food was lukewarm. My food was red hot so I’m assuming that his food was sat waiting for mine to be ready. It does seem strange that there was a 50 minute wait & yet the food came out obviously overcooked. We have eaten here before and the food was good so I’m thinking maybe the kitchen was bogged down. We will come again & hope that it’s back to its usual quality. The staff as always are extremely friendly & hardworking

Our first time coming to this establishment and our last after waiting 10 mins to get served and waiting around near the bar with a disabled person on sticks we got ignored 4 times times by the two women who were serving so we just walked out why stay at a place when we just got ignored might not be regulars but now you have lost our custom

We arrived last night for dinner and was met by attentive staff who promptly found us a table in this busy pub. Having ordered our classic grill meals and drinks we did not have to wait too long before the food came . What a treat , the food was tasty , well presented and hot being on a cast iron skillet. We will definitely use this pub again and have no problems recommending it . Thankyou to all the staff.

OK, I don't generally give scaving reviews but this place has tipped so far of the cliff it's a wonder its still serving. So we was tempted back by a 40% of that I received on email so we thought why not it's the 8th of January and booked for the 9th at 1900 the lady on the phone said we best book as they are rather busy due to the offer being sent out. On arrival 9th of January at 1855 we stood at the front where is says stand here to be seated and nobody tended to us, after a few mins with that I went to the bar and the partner stayed at the stand here sign, after standing at the bar watching various staff come and go I was eventually asked if they could help as mentioned we was booked but considering the amount of people in I wondered why they suggested they were busy. My partner was showed to a table and I expected the same staff member to then return to serve me at the bar which didn't oh well. After being served by another member of staff and went to the table with drinks I returned to the bar after a few mins to order food, ordered mega mixed grill and and clucking hot stack burger which we was advised would be 30-40 mins wait, food arrived 55 mins later chucked on the table no mention if we wanted anything to compliment the meal sauces ect ect. Will tell you now 99% off will not tempt me back, the hottest part of the mixed grill was the peppercorn sauce, the steak although was cooked OK it was cold, the gammon was cold the entire plate of food was cold and you got the impressionit was just left on the side, Partners meal was very mediocre burgers over cooked and pathetic salad in the burger. Either the chef doesn't have a clue or its a management issue either way it's a downhill trend if the issues are not sorted. Thanks

Sunday carvery well worth a try, family atmosphere and friendly staff

Came for breakfast at 10:30 and there was no bacon and no eggs and when they did come out there only had 5 eggs becouse they can't cook anymore due to the size of the pans 🤦🏼. Room for improvement needed

This spot is a shocking place to go to. I came with my brother and my grandma. We waited over an hour for our food to come. When it came out my brothers chicken burger and chips was freezing cold. My hunters chicken and chips came with peas when I asked them to change it to beans,it was freezing cold. My grandmas mixed grill was freezing cold. She paid extra for an egg. She asked them to warm it up she then waited an extra 10 minutes for it come back out and when it came out the egg wasn’t back on the plate. She called someone over and they got her an egg. My grandmas food was that bad that she has took it home for her dogs. We also pre booked the day before for a set table and when we came someone had already sat at the table eating their food as it had been double booked. When we was stood outside another set of customers came out to as they heard us complaining and they also said that they had waited over an hour for they food and they all had to eat separately. The bar staff was amazing.

SHOCKING. 2 hours 10 minutes for food to come. Our sever the young ginger girl you need to get a grip and do your job without a attitude Will definitely not return my microwave is much faster than yours Your reply is the exactly the same as 2 others ( the chef took ill) and how do you know when I came to eat there? Just get it sorted and run the business properly. Customer service is everything

Used to be our local but since covid not been in. However we came in a month ago and enjoyed the food so thought boxing day we will go to Manor farm . Wish we hadn't. 2 young girls on the bar , has to ask one to serve me as was stood for ages and kept going to serve in the bar. When we finally got our food I wish the staff asked if everything OK because it was awful. 1 person had sausage and mash . Sausages so burnt. I had chicken with chips. Chips tasted as if been reheated . The men said theirs was OK but not as nice as last time. Then deserts eton mess OK. Apple pie what on earth was the raspberry bits in the custard for !!! Not sure if a 3rd visit is on the cards As we are surrounded by this chain of pubs. Hop pole. Odd bottle. National. Manor Farm need to improve .

Was a nice pub until the owner let dogs run riot all over the bar area, this is not hygienic, no one wants someone else's dirty dog jumping all over them in their best clothes....

Been to this pub for many years with family and loved it as it has such a great friendly atmosphere and excellent food. It is for that reason Manor Farm was my first choice for a dinner date and the level of service throughout was just as excellent, resulting in a great date that lasted well into the afternoon.

They ran out of steak of all things. Ordered mega mixed grills and got standard mixed grills. Staff were overrun and stressed although the place wasn't that busy. This is the second Xmas on the trot its been very poor. Won't be attending again in future. This pub is being run into the ground.

December '23. Had to wait an hour and15 mins for food. Then food for our group of four turned up at different intervals, and some had cleary been standing for some time. If you can't organise a kitchen then don't serve food. Please also note that I don't care if you have a 'large group' in - if you can't do the basics then pack it in. Absolutely not acceptable.

Reservation for 6.45 starters great. Then food didn’t arrive till 8.30 asked twice. Food was bland. Member of staff came out the kitchen shouting how a kitchen staff member had walked out. Finally left at 9.30. Would I recommend hell no

Outstanding pub. Amazing staff and atmosphere

I booked a table online for 9 , luckily there was only 8 of us as the table was tiny. There was a sign on the door saying kitchen was closing at 730 pm due to sickness ! This made me think some chef was cooking my food , coughing , full of snot etc waiting to go home ! Anyway we’ve never had a bad meal in Manor Farm so decided to stay . All the meals came out cold , but after a 45 min wait we only sent one mixed grill back …, this came out again after 5 mins piping hot . I didn’t complain at the time as all the floor staff looked stressed and miserable. My son asked a young blonde girl to take a family photo who very unenthusiastically did , after giving us a dirty look walked off ! The bar staff were brilliant , cannot fault their efforts and friendly attitude. I won’t be rushing back .

Had to send 3 meals back because the chips were cold, 1 meal because they sent it out with onions, when ordered asked for them to be taken off. 3 sirloin streaks ordered med and came well done. Staff that listen and smile would also help.

Great roast dinner, great gluten free roast dinner they also do takeaway which is great. The large roast is nice. There’s machines for kids to play on, great service and staff.

I like manor farm because the staff are very friendly the service is good and the food os lovely . Sometimes you have to wait a bit for the food but they do let you know this before you order it is always worth waiting for though

Terrible meal. Granted it wasn't expensive. My partners beef lasagne was burnt, black on the base. No one came back to the table to check if food was OK. I caught a member of staff passing by eventually but I'd finished mine ( it wasn't quite as bad) he was offered another but we didn't have time to wait. Had to be somewhere. Won't be returning there.

We have committee meetings and friends get togethers at Manor Farm often, we're always looked after by friendly, curtious, efficient staff.

This is my local and we love it. Food amazing and great atmosphere. Great staff too 😀

I took a party of 13 O.A.P's to Manor Farm and met up with other folks for an afternoon out (hand a meal, drinks, bingo, raffle, etc). The party really enjoyed themselves apart from waiting for the meal which was just over an hour however, they did apologise as they had 4 members off staff off (but we didn't get a reduction in price) and a few women didn't have time for a sweet.

We had a decent time at this pub, particularly enjoying the cosy bar area, which also has an adjoining dining section. While the presence of late-staying kids was a slight deviation from our preference, the overall experience was enjoyable. The extensive selection of beers, wines, and spirits offered something for every taste, adding to the appeal of the place. I would recommend it for anyone seeking a relaxed and diverse drinking experience, despite the occasional presence of children.

Very nice food here regular visitor with family. My only down side on the carvery is the Yorkshire puddings are definitely frozen ones.. would be so much better with fresh made ones... But over all we love it here staff very helpful and welcoming.
