It's basic, but it's cheap and it's clean.

First of all the hotel rooms were disgusting and smelly from what is displayed, clearly this is an indication that there is no client respect. I don’t think I will ever book this hotel ever again

The same as ever - top draw. Phil Woods is fortunate in having such a superb staff in Adam, Emily, Linda, Michelle, Mike and Natasha led by the brilliant Lucy Butterworth. I have to stay every month for my mental health.

Great Location, few minutes walk from Train station, Rooms probably a bit dated but extremely clean and large enough, Quiet at night and had decent sleep. Small but good menu in cafe-bar, Food was good, Staff extremely friendly and helpful, Allowed me to leave bags until needed to head off for ferry and also allowed me to check in early after arriving in morning from mini cruise on our return, Would definitely stay again when in Hull.

We stayed here for one night as we were watching Sir Ranulph Fiennes in a talk at Hull City Hall. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and the room was basic but functional; just like we had intended. There is free hotel WiFi, the windows in the rooms can be opened which was great for me as I love fresh air. Not a fan of all these sealed windows and air con type rooms. Based on my experience from this brief stay I would be happy to recommend this hotel; its city centre and only a very short walk from the train station.

We had a play booked in Hull and wanted a cheap and cheerful overnight stay. Ibis was exactly that, basic, warm and all our needs were met. Very friendly staff was the icing on the cake. Only minutes walk from the train station.

Nice quiet hotel with a crackin breakfast and great staff, making it a great stay. Also closer to the train station.

The staff in the hotel are lovely, very kind and not overly corporate which makes a refreshing change. They make the hotel a welcoming place to stay. The hotel is a budget hotel, it is clean and the beds are comfy. The rooms are a bit tired and would benefit from a freshen up, new carpets, curtains and a general refresh would be great I'd happily pay a little more of the rooms were updated. Having said that we come to Hull roughly 3 times a year and for the price you can't complain, it offers very good value for money

Food crumbs under the bed, accessible room with very little room to get my chair into, bed had 2 thin mattresses on top of eachother and a mattress topper, very very outdated decor, plug sockets, furniture and sink, felt like we were inside a very old container. Dirty stains all over the carpet, very small room, not as it looked online. Never staying in an ibis again

After traipsing around Hull for a dog friendly pub I found this gem. It was quite busy for a Thursday lunchtime but my two well behaved dogs were more than welcomed. The barman got them some water and a dog biscuit each. I enjoyed a long cold Erdinger too. Would have stayed for more if I hadn’t wasted my time looking for such a pub. Nice place, good range of beers, friendly atmosphere and the staff more than helpful.

Went in last night (07/09/2024) for the first time before and after our visit to Hull City Hall. Great atmosphere, music was great, had karaoke earlier on around 5.30pm and they were some great singers. Bar staff and doormen friendly and fun, was nice to see them dancing and getting along with customers. Would be on my go-to list on our night out. Thank you, #Hull #NightOut #Karaoke #GreatAtmosphere 🎶🎤🎉

Absolutely shocking customer service by Jess and her colleague. I had a free voucher for a steak, and was told they'd ran out and refused to offer any other meal as a substitute, or a free drinks, pudding or discount. A serious can't do attitude. I've never encountered such unwillingness to meet a customer half way.

unbelievably disappointing. the food was bland and tasteless, my bagel was soggy and hash browns really mushy, the loaded fries were SWIMMING in oil and grease. at no point did any member of staff ask how the meal was or if everything was okay. unfortunately we will absolutely not be returning. the only plus side is instead of the predicted 45 min wait, it was 20.
