We had such a great time here! From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel super welcome—everyone was so friendly and on top of things without being too much. You can really tell they care about giving you a great experience. The food was amazing. Every single thing we ordered was packed with flavor and so well done. You could taste the freshness in every bite. Honestly, we were passing plates around the table so everyone could try everything. (That creamy king prawn & salmon rigatoni was next-level!) The vibe of the place was spot on—cozy, stylish, and just really comfortable. Highly recommend checking this place out. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We arrived for lunch, taking my grandchildren out for a special treat and a tired new mum. Server , had no idea whatsoever, later to find out she was new, but terrible service from start. We ordered food, had sat for 40 mins then kids menu came out, had ordered 2 starters, plus 2 mains, only 1 starter turned up, all through the visit we had to keep calling someone over for the problems, we’d timed it so baby asleep so we could actually sit and enjoy lunch, our adult meals came out one had the correct other was wrong, was told they would correct it, but by this time it was an hour and a half later, meant making another meal. She declined so it was so uncomfortable sat eating whilst one had nothing, manager said she would not charge us for it and she could take it home but refused due to it being a warm salad, apologised said the member of staff was new, and she would sort the bill accordingly, yes she didn’t charge for the meal we hadn’t had, so 45 pounds later, 2 free kids meals and not charged for a meal we didn’t have, was an absolute terrible and uncomfortable experience, I didn’t expect that the total bill would be discounted, but having the experience we’d had something more could have been done, we decided carefully were to lunch, but I really wish we hadn’t

My go to Italian in hull. Usually have seafood pasta but had large hot pizza well done superb.

Went to restaurant across lunchtime. Busy but only one member of staff on waiting duties. He appeared to cope well but could have done with some help.

Great friendly staff, our waiter was helpful and attentive, we had a great family tea out and really enjoyed our visit.

Amazing service, never needed to wait, got what I wanted, can’t argue with the pizza; fresh, made right front of you as an open kitchens!

On 16/05/2025, I had booked a table to celebrate my birthday with family before an evening activity at Minion Golf next door. Sadly, the experience was well below the standards I have previously come to expect from Prezzo and left all six members of our party extremely dissatisfied. We arrived promptly at 5:55pm for our 6:00pm booking and placed our orders for food and drinks shortly after being seated (approximately 6:05pm). However, after waiting 45 minutes with no sign of our food, I approached the manager to explain that we had a 7:30pm booking for golf and were concerned about the delay. Instead of offering understanding or assistance, the manager was dismissive and confrontational, insisting that we had only been waiting 30 minutes. This was completely untrue — we were very aware of the time as we were on a tight schedule. Despite his claim, he offered no proof and instead was argumentative, sarcastic, and unhelpful (even though he kept saying he was not arguing - which he was). Eventually, our food arrived 55 minutes after ordering — which again contradicts the manager’s inaccurate timeline. He made a point of saying he had “pushed the order through” as though doing us a favour, rather than acknowledging the failure in service. The table opposite us also complained about long waits, so this was not an isolated issue. Unfortunately, the food did little to redeem the experience. My husband’s Chicken Milanese arrived with no Italian cheese as described and resembled an overcooked chicken burger with no a small pot of tomato ketchup on the side! My Spaghetti Bolognese was cold. My daughter’s Arrabbiata pasta came with just three tiny pieces of burrata (about the size of a small dice - which we paid an extra £4 for) and was also cold. My sister-in-law’s pizza was extremely tough. All the chips across our order were anaemic and soggy. The restaurant was not overly busy, so there was no reasonable excuse for this level of service and food quality. No staff came to check on our meal or offer additional drinks. Due to the delays, we had no time for dessert and had to rush out for our next booking. To make matters worse, a substantial service charge had been added to the bill — which felt like an insult, considering the lack of service we received. As we left, the manager smirked at us, which only compounded our frustration. I’ve visited this Prezzo many times before, particularly when the previous manager was in charge (before he moved to your York site). Under his leadership, the restaurant ran smoothly, staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was always welcoming. Sadly, this visit was the opposite. It not only ruined what should have been a special evening but also left us feeling extremely let down. All six of us were unhappy with the experience, and it was clear other diners were too. I hope you will take this complaint seriously and investigate what went wrong. I would appreciate a response outlining how you intend to address this issue and ensure better service in the future.

Two starters ordered only one came, four mains ordered 5 turned up two of the same mains tasted totally different and quantity was nowhere same between the two

Poor service. Waited a long time to be served and for our food. Took ages for our plates to be cleared. Servers were clearing empty tables whilst we were waiting. The waiter and one of the chefs got in an argument directly behind us.

Food was brilliant, service top tier.

We booked a table for 6pm, our main course arrived at 7.25pm! Not only did they give our pizza to another table in error but then our food sat there for another 5 minutes at least getting cold before someone realised that it belonged to us and they'd made a mistake. The food was tasty but barely warm, we would have sent it back but we were short on time. Other tables were kept waiting just as long. The service was appalling. The only plus about the visit was the lovely young man who had a little more urgency and ensured we had time for dessert before we had to rush off. Unfortunately we will not return.

Unfortunately Prezzo has gone downhill. This shows because it's never very busy.. We don't eat here unless we get a 50% off food voucher. The food like most places now is expensive. (£19 for one of the pizzas we ordered!) . The atmosphere isn't very good but the food is okay. just not always served hot enough. We wouldn't really recommend this restaurant which is a real shame because we used to enjoy going. The toilets are dirty too with no toilet roll in them.

I am disappointed. The portion has been halved compared to what it was before. The whole salad is mixed - few times ago be nicely served. No bread which was always included with the order. The amount of chicken is negligible. The price does not correspond to the portion and quality. Disgrace.

A truly fantastic birthday meal with all the family, the food as always is fantastic. The chefs are excellent. The staff were great seating all ten of us and a baby as soon as we arrived and we all felt as if we were the only customers in the restaurant as both lady’s couldn’t do enough for us all, including making baby’s bottle, and getting the little ones more ketchup and mayo. We didn’t want for nothing Debbie and Ena were perfect thank you lady’s. We all enjoyed our meals and will certainly be back.

Prezzo is always our go to family restaurant because they’re always accommodating as we usually go as a large group. The service is always amazing, and the service is fantastic and the staff are so lovely, and nothing is ever too much for them! Food is always gorgeous, and always comes quickly! Great atmosphere, and fantastic value for money! 10/10 every time!

Good service, main course lovely, however, we left without ordering desert or coffee's due to the disgusting state on the toilets. They smelt like a council car park and didnt look very clean at all, my elderly mum needed the loo so we left. They young lad that served us was lovely too.

Every dish was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully sourced. I still can’t stop thinking about the Tuscan BBQ chicken pizza, hands down one of the best things I’ve eaten all year. Drinks were equally impressive, with a well-curated wine list and some creative cocktails that added a fun twist to the meal. It’s rare to find a place that nails it on every level—ambiance, service, and food—but this restaurant does it effortlessly. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a great night out, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

Staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful, and attentive. I did come during a quiet period, so I appreciate it wasn't busy, but the staff were lovely, someone checked I was happy with my meal, I didn't wait long at all. Food was lovely and cooked perfectly, fresh parmesan was brought out with my meal (didn't need to ask), and the wine options were very palatable. Proce was reasonable, for 1 main course, a large Red (better range) and a £5 tip still came in at under £30, so I think that's very reasonable.

Aleksandra was a great server on our visit, her to deal with some difficult customers regarding vouchers and she handled it so well, working in hospitality myself I know how tricky it can be! She was so lovely and offered us great service even after being spoken to badly by the other customers! Well done Aleksandra!

Visited with a couple of friends during the week, the waiter greeted and seated us promptly. There were a couple of others dining in, but soon left after our arrival. The atmosphere was still pleasant. The food was delicious, and the coffee we ordered was well made. Can't fault it. It was nice dining in front of a lit stone pizza oven. Service was perfectly timed from ordering to recieving our dishes, to paying for the bill. The calamari was top tier, especially with the sauce it comes with.

Very Slow service, my pizza was 75% crust it was tasteless just like onion chutney with about three chunks of gorganzola cheese which was also tasteless a( few slices of ham) also tasteless £18.99. husbands meatball starter four meatballs £8.50 . Pasta dishes looked like they had come out of a tin , drinks prices through the roof disgusting, will never go back definitely don't recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for their special Valentine’s set menu, and it was a truly delightful experience. Each course was delicious. We had calamari and prawns to start, gnocchi with seabass for me and for my wife the lobster ravioli. My son loves the fudge cake and ice cream. The staffs were attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

All the staff here are so lovely! We were a regular for 3 years running - an every other weekend visit! We’ve now moved however go back here everytime we are in the area 🥰

Didn't wait to be seated but took ages before someone took order didn't listen how we wanted the food served forgot drinks. Pasta arrabiatta was watered down. Waitress was talking to the cooks while we hadn't even been served really disappointed.

Turned us away from a 3/4 empty restaurant as they "only had enough pizza for the people that had booked" at 15:30 on a Saturday afternoon in a city centre shopping centre. If you can't mix flour yeast and water together....I give it a year

Really enjoyed this afternoon, could see the staff were busy and for me delivered a very good service.

The service was rather slow. We waited about five minutes at the reception before I approached the bartender to ask if we should wait there for service. He replied, “There are no tables, sir.” I then responded, “With all due respect, I have a reservation.” At this point, he acknowledged the reservation, and we were seated within another two minutes. Once seated, a lovely lady named Vaneyann, who was very pleasant, brought us our menus. She mentioned that someone would be back shortly to take our orders. However, 10-15 minutes passed with no service, so I asked who appeared to be the floor manager if we could place our food order. He replied that he would assist us after seating another guest. True to his word, he returned two minutes later to take our order. When I inquired whether the burger was homemade or frozen, I couldn’t get a clear answer. Based on taste, I’d say it’s a flash-frozen, all-beef patty rather than a handmade, crafted burger. Once we ordered, the food arrived promptly, which was a pleasant contrast to the initial service delays. The carbonara was delicious. It’s clear that the kitchen staff have their act together, but the front-of-house team could use some improvement.

Will certainly come back for the pizza and the food. We had the rectangle Romana style pizza, the dough was great. Not quite sure about the customer service but it is most likely an unfair comment as there was only two wait staff on a Wednesday night. There was a sign board about 25 percentage off but we did not enquire further, should have as there was no discount on our bill. Regardless, will definitely highly recommend the food. But, possibly not their chocolate cake which came with a thick milky watery runny thingy that is definitely not mascarpone.

What a waste. Waste of food, waste of time. Had to wait over 40 minutes for our order, several walk ins after us got their food first. When the food finally arrived, half of the order was wrong. The food that we got was average, the side of fries was undercooked, tasted like old fat and was basically inedible. What a shame. The front of house did however, not bill us for ALL of the food, which was a small comfort.

Food was amazing and very tasty however we was trying to catch the managers attention to get the bill or order a dessert and he was speaking to his friends or family at the front of the restaurant, a little frustrating because we spent 2 hours in there and wanted to see a film afterwards but missed it unfortunately. The waiter service was brilliant though but the waiter went home early during our meal because I overheard it wasn't busy but even we couldn't get the bill or dessert in a timely manner even though it wasn't busy...

Food was brilliant and good size portions as it's not the cheapest place so that more than made up for the prices. Staff were friendly but the service was a little slow when we visited. The only downside was, when I visited the toilet, the seat hasn't been cleaned for years and instead of being white it was like a mustard colour, disgusting! Why they haven't just bought a new seat I don't know because it's rancid and probably beyond cleaning now.

My partner is coeliac and we struggle to find places that cater for his needs. He ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza and cheesy garlic bread. He really enjoyed it. The bases were home made and not Schar bases that you usually get at other Italian restaurants. Brilliant food and great service.

We got meatballs as the starter. Meatballs themselves were fine but nothing special. The sauce on top of them was lukewarm and the bread tasted defrosted with a fusty taste. As mains we ordered a lasagna, a bolognaise, and a side of cheesy garlic bread.in fairness, the lasagne was well cooked and hot,but was more cheese than pasta and mince. When the food came out the garlic bread had no cheese and the bolognaise was over cooked yet cold pasta with the sauce in a pile on the top. The sauce was extremely watery , containing more carrots than anything else and the spaghetti was sat in what resembled a broth more than a pasta sauce, I suspect from the sauce mix being microwaved to be reheated from frozen. The spaghetti itself was extremely cool and the sauce mixture lukewarm. We notified the waiter about the garlic bread and they were pleasant and said they would ask the chefs to make a new one. Around a minute later the exact same garlic bread came out with cheese on. Since it was the same bread just reheated with cheese it was overdone so burnt, very tough and chewy. During the meal, the staff were very unprofessional on their phones and there were multiple iphones ringing from behind the bar. After we had finished, we asked for the bill and the waitress/manager said she would go get it for us. For context the restaurant was less than half full with no large parties. 30 minutes later our bill ( table for 2) still had not arrived so we went up to the bar and asked if it would be possible to pay. The same manager/waitress who had said she would get our bill appeared as if we had not asked her and made us feel like such a burden and cheeky for going up to ask(since it’s normally table service) however let us pay. We left after paying £60 for a meal I could have cooked better from Tesco at home.

Pants…wasn’t busy but food took nearly 40 minutes just for 2 pizzas and 2 chips. Could see the table next to us getting frustrated with the wait as well. When our pizzas eventually arrived they were underdone and we had to send them back, no one came to check on us to see if everything was okay or asked if we wanted anymore drinks. Staff stood behind the bar on their phones, overpriced food and atmosphere so dead it made me depressed being there. I’ve worked in hospitality for 11 years and can honestly say our experience was shocking, won’t be returning

Had an evening meal here as we were in town for the Sir Ranulph Fiennes talk at Hull City Hall. We know Prezzo well, it’s good standard food that serves its purpose, plus we both love Italian. What I really liked about this restaurant though was the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. It was clean, decent food on the menu and we found various vouchers for money off online; certainly check before you eat! We can only use one voucher with one meal so we had to work out which one best suited us. Based on my experiences of this restaurant I would be more than happy to recommend a visit.

Not my best experience of an italian restaurant of this type but doesn't have a drive after this visit to return to the chain for food.

This was very disappointing. Service was not great, a lady came to clear our table whilst some of us were still eating. She noticed and apologised but continued to clear, taking more plates and saying sorry again. She wasn't sorry, or she would have stopped. It wasn't even clear she worked there, wearing a dress, no name badge. Looked like she had just walked in. Strange. The the waiter came to take dessert orders. He left the remaining dinner plates on the table and served desserts around them. I had to clear the rest of the table myself to make space. No care or training given in this resturant. It's a shame as it was a birthday dinner too. Would not recommend. Definitely won't be returning.

Food was ok, service slow which was irritating as we were the only ones in barr one more table.. no atmosphere at all, the place was like a wake. Also, the place is card only. Unfortunately one more place to add to the growing list of companies that like to dictate to a customer how they should pay for their food! We wont be back. They are far far better places locally that offer better cheaper food and are only to happy to accept cash.
