The best restaurants in Low Harrogate Harrogate Yorkshire and The Humber

I will start off with the one negative thing about our visit. It was very hard to find the car park after a rather fraught car journey from London and I met the one not so helpful member of staff on reception who told me the car park was probably full anyway. We found the car par from her directions, it was far from full and from that point it was plus, plus plus for The George on our short stay. The breakfast was probably the best I had ever had in a hotel. Amazing choices, amazing helpful staff and 5 stars on that front.

What an outstanding venue for hospitality and food, the staff have always gone above and beyond to be friendly and accommodate, the beer is kept very well and the food is homemade, good value, and delicious, highly recommend it.

Do not order from here! We have ordered from here twice, both times on Uber eats which we thought would cover the whole payment but both times we have been asked to pay extra money once they got to the door? Once we said we don’t have the extra money they wanted in cash the delivery driver got very rude and said he will not deliver here again, which is fine as we won’t be ordering here again anyway, only reason we did was because this place was the only place open at the time. The first time they asked for more money the got very rude over the phone shouting. Their attitude is just as bad as their food.

Great little local pub. Very friendly staff. Traditional decor and furniture but very clean and comfortable. A typical old school pub. Variety of real ales and local lagers on offer.

Great food. Beautiful building. Staff attentive and polite, and swift service. We ate duck spring rolls, followed by sweet and sour pork Cantonese style and chilli and garlic chicken all good. I read other reviews but would have to disagree with those who say the food is takeaway standard. We felt the food was tasty, particularly the duck spring rolls, and kept hot with the warming plates. The only minor detail was perhaps the overall atmosphere, but it was such a beautiful building. There is a 10% service charge, but this is optional.

No point in staying delivery time when ordered and then constantly change it. Plus, when tracking delivery, the vehicle remained stationary for a good 5 minutes. The food was cold on delivery. Won’t bother again. Paid a lot of money for cold food.

Weetons Food Hall…. Went for breakfast .. after waiting almost an hour a cold fatty bacon sandwich and cold eggs benedict arrived! Chased the food and was told it was on its way - it arrived 15 minutes later. When I complained about the service and food as I was a paying the £40 bill I was told “yes, I agree, I’d suggest complaining online”…. So here you go…. Don’t be taken in by the high prices and appealing location … the service and food are truly appalling …

Lovely Portuguese tart and coffee

This is a large Cafe Nero in a building that was probably previously a bank or something similar. It serves the usual Cafe Nero fare. It is a cheap alternative to Betty's Tea Rooms that is located across the road.

What an excellent restaurant, great food, lovely staff. Not hurried service... definitely worth a visit

Nice place for a decent pint and day time chill. Was going to try, the Vocation Ale. The bar lady said do u want to try before u buy. Which I did and not my type. However I went for the Theaksons. Excellent pint well kept.

Diner in the bistro as part of ‘Restaurant Week’. Great service and a popular selection of dishes on the menu. It’s been sone time since we last visited and wow, what a transformation. Lovely decor and lounge to relax in. Planning a return visit for the Sunday lunch as recommended by our friends.
