I Always come here for the Crepes Only place in Harrogate i will go to if i want a nice dessert. Staff are all very friendly and nice and the prices are not to high as well 👍

Great place, really generous portions

Price changed from ordering on the phone to the actual price I paid when going to collect my food. My order was cancelled as someone ordered something completely different to me and cancelled their order so they cancelled mine as well. Food was then rushed which showed in the quality and presentation. Use to love this place but clearly standards have dropped. More annoyed at the fact that I asked them 3 times to repeat my order on the phone and still got it wrong and then even cancelled it without any reason. Sadly will be avoiding it from now on.

Amazing Gelato & milkshakes! No where better in North Yorkshire!

Provided the kids with games to keep them occupied which was a nice touch. The milkshake was really nice and a good size!

Do not order from here or order the cookie dough when getting it delivered. The food was not as described in the photo. The cookie dough was about a cm thin and the five strawberries that were on there were flat and not fresh! whereas the photo looked as if there was loads of fresh strawberries wirh a good amount of cookie dough.

We were visiting Harrogate for the weekend and thought we would pop in here for cheeky treat after an amazing roast dinner. I have previously worked in an ice cream parlour and was taught to give the best customer service, we did not experience this at all, the servers were rude and seemed bored and uninterested. I ordered the Brownie Royale and I started eating it, one of the ice creams was meant to be chocolate but was banana, i absolutely hate banana especially in ice cream! I asked my friend to try just to double check and she verified that it was banana. I called the unenthusiastic server over and he just stared at me and the ice cream. He kept telling me it wasn’t banana then he said oh yes it should be chocolate no real apology. He took my plate away and bought it back 5 mins later, all the other ice cream had partly melted, he had taken off the banana ice cream and replaced it with a chocolate scoop. Great. My whole dessert still tasted of banana flavour and I felt quite sick eating it.

Both orders should have been warm, but weren’t. The crepe was so tough I couldn’t cut through it. Ordered vanilla ice cream on both orders chocolate gelato delivered

The staff, who prefer to gesture rather than speak, seem to have no regard for hygiene. One girl emptied the bin before continuing to carry out orders without washing her hands. Sickening. We left immediately at this point. Not sure how this is open? Throughout our time there the staff were generally rude especially after we asked where one of our forgotten orders was and they begun to stare and whisper amongst each other.

The place was empty. It took ages to understand what the girl was saying. The pistachio ice cream was tasteless and appeared to be the scrapings from the tin. (Which was not in sight, as no ice creams on display) Not good.

The food was good, but our experience was ruined by quite rude service. My friend is coeliac (which the staff knew as she had informed them before ordering) and ordered ice cream and wafers were accidentally put on her serving. The server told the worker to take out the wafers and give the same scoops back to her, when she specifically asked for new scoops to prevent her from becoming ill. I did not expect for her health to be put at risk because of an eaterie that didn't want to cater for her gluten intolerance, in order to not lose money. The laziness of the staff could have severely jeopardized her health and if it wasn't for my friends and I hearing the staff whisper in front of us, she could've become really ill. I hope this review helps the future service of this business

Had the lemon crepe. It was doughy and undercooked and tasted like rubber. Didn't taste like fresh lemon juice added. So disappointed. Made me feel ill. Ice cream on the side was nice. How can you make a crepe so wrong!! Will not be going back. The kids enjoyed the sundaes though.

Food was actually really nice after reading some of the reviews was bit sceptical but I was really surprised about the quality of food now they got some street food thought might worth a shot I was really surprised by the smashed burger meat was so tender n juicy. I think place is highly underrated.

Would have given it 0 stars if it was an option. After being a regular customer for the better part of the last year. I have definitely seen this business crumble, perhaps due to a change of management after not seeing the usual regular happy faces I used to. Staff clearly aren’t happy there and if you listen close enough when sat in, you will hear the new senior staff speak to their staff with such disrespect. Food has gone downhill, used to be the best by far in harrogate, now I wouldn’t feed it to my worst enemy. If you want soggy waffles and undercooked cookie dough, then this is the best place for you! Not to mention the serious lack of hygiene and food safety. As for the staff, most are very polite and give good service, credits to them for working in such an underperforming and most likely underpaying environment! Shame really to see what was such a successful place fall to the ground, don’t see it being there much longer!

Absolutely gutted… I had been ordering from Harrogate Ice Scoop Gelato for the past 3 years, my last order being back in March 2023 (I moved to wetherby). Tonight I nipped in for my usual guilty indulgence to take away. Just by the taste, look, quality of the food and the customer service I received this evening, it has obviously changed owner. Ice cream is bland with no colour (how is banana cream pie ice cream a faint pink?) (previously wasn’t), the strawberry cheesecake was plastic, no flavour and no where near as creamy as it used to be. My partner had the ‘brownie cookie dough’ as always, except tonight it looks like chocolate chip with brownies chucked on top with a bit of chocolate sauce (this was definitely not like this last time). Was the best desert place in Harrogate, it is now the worst. Will go to spoilt in future. If you buy/import cheap and tacky food your customers will know about it, especially the loyal ones. I’ll start my loyalty with Spoilt in future. A massive shame :(

The best food place in this area! I recommend the Kinder Bueno icecream and any of their wonderful waffles👌👌 Staff are absoloutely amazing and provided great customer service, will definitely be visiting again xx

the health conditions of this place are unruly. every surface was sticky, the floors were appalling and staff looked completely overworked and underpaid. friends of mine have worked here, expressing complaints of filthy dishwasher (the water used to the clean the dishes was brown, the machine moldy). out of date allergen checklists are used, this place is overall a train wreck. do. not. go.

Quality of food has gone down dramatically, ordered two sundaes and they were just ice cream no toppings below average place.

Just keeps getting worse, it seems no matter what you order you don't get it. The ice cream was totally runny by the time it arrived and there was no sign of the honeycomb ice-cream I requested. I spoke to the manager who apologised and said "we have some new staff" usual get out clause for shoddy service! Training needs to become a priority.

Only giving one star as I can’t leave zero. Shocking lack of service, Waited at the till for 10 mins without so much of an acknowledgment we were there, far too busy looking after the just eat orders, not even bothered when we turned and left without ordering. I appreciate all orders have to be fulfilled, but at least have some level of customer service and manners and let the customer know you are aware they exist. Basic minimum level of service is to greet customers as they enter and if there’s a delay, tell them you will be with them shortly. Worse still is the empty Costco chocolate fudge cake box left on the counter. Not even home made. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending to others either.

Nice atmosphere with good decor and large selection of options. We had the chocolate chip cookie dough. A nice looking dessert. However the dough was under cooked (I know it cookie dough but it felt like needed longer), and too much sauce. We scraped it off and was much better with less on. Wouldn't mind trying some of the other desserts including the biscoff toast that looked tantalising.

Delivery driver was really nice so can't fault him but that was about all that was good about this. Ordered a maple temptation crepe but asked to substitute the strawberries with something else due to allergies, the crepe proceeded to arrive plain, with only icing sugar coated on top. It was dry and rubbery. Cookie dough was pathetically small for 7 pounds, with very little topping. Used to order from here quite frequently but after tonight I won't be ordering again.

In harrogate if you want to sit down and enjoy some great ice cream treats there really isn’t anywhere else to go … recently taken Ivey by new staff who are welcoming and great to talk with.

Waited what was a stupid amount of time for 2 ice cream cones. Saw others come in and get served first and there seemed to be a distinct lack of interest from staff. Threw together the double scoop with no interest. Price was ok, only thing I can say I can say in the positive.

first time we were given the wrong order and then when we finally got our food we were missing an ice cream and the food was cold and the ice cream was half melted, very disappointing. the delivery driver was great tried his best to make sure we got the right food and was very friendly but the food and how long it took to fix the mistake was unacceptable. food felt like it had been left out the hole hour.

Staff verg good and service quick. Tea was nice. A single espresso some how only filled half of an espresso cup. Prices very reasonable. Interior needs a lot of work which I suppose may be money business doesn't have at the moment. However the whole place is extremely warm centrally heated which is weird for ice cream place. Smells of sour milk. Needs a lot of cleaning.

Poor service! Young girl threw our ice cream tub to colleague and dropped it on the floor! Had our dessert to go, no cutlery given, no smile, no manners! Waffle was like rubber and tasteless! Would not return!!!! Avoid!!!!

Rubbish dessert. And even worse service. The worker with very dark brown hair, tall, big nose and wearing rings, god would it hurt to smile and serve people 😃 (a little like this) either he hates brown people and didn’t want to serve us or he hates his life. I mean I would if I was working at a dessert shop at such an age! Regardless of the shocking service. The dessert, specifically asked for no chocolate sauce and to add banana..did this happen? Oh no that was too much to follow correctly on the order! Why bother with the receipt? And then asked for cutlery as it’s a take out order, specifically a fork to eat a crepe, in standard this waiter who hates his life/brown people ‘no if you can’t see it then it’s not there then I don’t have them. On a positive note, thanks for your service, I truly wish you get some happiness and start serving with a smile and maybe a little passion. After all you are a dessert maker 💘
