Very overpriced but can get a seat.

everything you would expect from this company. nice atmosphere and layout, friendly helpful and cheerful staff. Tables pleasantly spaced out and the 2 storey open plan layout mad the place feel airy but no cold as it was very cold outside

The assistants refused me entry because of my hearing dog and made an embarrassing fuss. They refused to acknowledge the law of discrimination. I have since received an apology and been invited back with my dog.

Took my friend, who was visiting me, to that famous coffee house, Costa. Should have gone somewhere else, as there were plenty of choices nearby. You can sense the lady who served us was in a bit of a mood, as she was the only staff there! When the drinks were made, she brought them with her hands wrapped round the glass' upper drinking part. Not hygienic at all. My drink was a white chocolate, she didn't even bother to turn around to look, so when she placed my drink onto the tray in front of me, she landed so hard that my drink spilt some onto the tray. The hot white chocolate wasn't hot either. Later, there was a young lady clearing the tables, maybe she was on her break earlier, but you can tell she is not a barista. The place needs more than one barista working together. Totally understaff. Staff not happy. Take it out on customers. I definitely won't be going back to this Costa....not sure about other Costas too, but if I do, and if I see only one barista with even a small queue, I am definitely walking out and seek another coffee house.

Understaffed in a morning when there is a rush for takeaway coffee one member of staff. Not great if your in a rush. The member of staff member was so lovely and did her best was rushed off her feet, I felt sorry for her and wanted to help.

Wow. What a friendly team !! Why aren't other costa branches like this one ?? Helpful, polite, fast, and exceptionally friendly. Lisa in particular. Highly recommend. This review is for the Costa quite near to the train station. Great coffee. Thanks Lisa !

Had a coffee in here with my friend. Not a coffee perfectionist so I'm easily pleased the drink was lovely and helpful service. Can't complain. It was also pretty quiet early morning which was nice.

I ordered coffee at 5:30 pm. Coffee only on takeaway cups ! Because they closing at 6:00 pm. Nobody even bothered to clean the tables.

Stopped here for coffee whilst waiting for connecting bus to Leeds bus station . Stopped in here around 10am Sunday 17th September . The 2 young lads serving behind the counter ( one had glasses ) were just lovely . Greeted with a warm smile and impeccable customer service manners . I was very impressed. Made a lovely start to my day and journey home . Coffeehouse was very clean and presentable . Definitely one of my favourite Costas I’ve been too.

Monday morning service was fantastic. Cheerful person behind the counter offered fantastic service with a smile.

Standard Costa Chain, But made special by a very enthusiastic and people loving Manageress. Spacious Branch on 3 floors.

It's a very roomy coffee shop with friendly staff and good central location. Only disappointment was the Iced Vanilla whipped latte. I had one at the Starbeck branch where they have an old school milkshake whipper which created a very different product than using the normal blender jug in town.

I visited on Friday 19th of May and I must say this was the very best Costa Coffee that I have visited. The staff are a real credit to the company.

The staff were very efficient and very friendly, service with a smile and friendly word was great. I would definitely recommend.

Ongoing issue with recruiting staff. Never open when I’ve tried to get a late afternoon coffee. Their HQ gave me a free drink reward when I complained. The only Costa in the country where I’ve ever had issues. Not sure the franchisee is up to much.

A Costa Coffee should not be right down the bottom of the listings in any location. The problem with this one is its out-of-the-way location, and the fact that it rarely opens all day. It seems they can’t get the staff, yet all the other coffee shops in Harrogate don’t seem to have any issues. If this is a franchise operation, I wonder if the franchisee is up to the job.

Smashing cuppa and vegan sandwiches ! Wonderful staff especially Natalie who was amazing the staff couldn’t do enough for us. I have walk with crutches and they were so helpful. Will definitely come back usually a pret customer but it’s costa from now on .

Just had to give a review . What a lovely atmosphere nice to see three members of staff happy in their work and attentive to their customers especially kids and the elderly Welldone 😊 coffee and tea cake spot on .

Had a medium Cappuccino and a double expresso. Nice drinks.

Nice, interesting interior, spread out over three levels - basement ground floor and mezzanine. Plenty of seating. Friendly staff and great drinks. Only let down by the cleanliness of the toilets.

Definitely not one of Costa's better shops. Still looking for the caramel in my latte, and maple syrup in special hot chocolate, absolutely nothing like the advertised picture. Wouldn't recommend

Drinks are usually good, but very rarely sit in as it's usually grubby.

the young lady who seemed to be running the place on her own on Tuesday 24th May was fantastic. Till reciept said name was George. Coffee was hot and food was perfect. Her attention to our needs were superb. Will definitely visit again next time we are Harrogate.

This store could be so much better, staff are clearly working hard to keep things going despite a chronic lack of manpower and a pretty tacky and run down environment. The seating area upstairs is tatty, uncomfortable and (frankly) dirty, the downstairs lacks comfort and cleanliness whilst the outside tables are wobbly. The staff look harassed, the queues are long and both deserves better from the owners/franchisees.

Been before with great experience. Today we had the worst ever chocolate drink. Pure watery no flavour. And by the way it should be a hot chocolate... both were cold not even warm... and wife did request that one was to be made extra hot. Wife didn't even finish hers. When back in shop to bring cups back ( we sat outside as It's a no Dogs allowed place) the lady was rude as I mentioned they were the worst ever. " Now that you've drunk them I can't give you a new one..." not even an apologise or proper customer service... For a place I have enjoyed in the past many times with wife... I don't think we'll be going in again...

I recommend going here as there is friendly staff and nice choices of food here,overall with lots of stuff here and many other thing it totally recommend going here!

Spacious branch of this Costa Franchise. Welcoming staff especially the Manageress who is very good and popular with customers. Best Coffee out of all the big Coffee Shops.

Have been coming here periodically for years. Staff are usually great, albeit there are often long queues, but a constant complaint is that the air conditioning upstairs ALWAYS pumps out cold air in winter and hot air in summer... you'd think they would have put this right by now. The discomfort aside, am not sure it's entirely healthy!

Always good to find a Costa,but that day was very busy with long queues heading out through the door. It was over the Xmas period and the upstairs area and toilets were shut.Not sure why.Coffees and hot chocolate drinks are always very good and the cakes tempting.This is why Costa is so popular.

Just queued for 20 minutes to be told when we get to the service point that its takeaway only. To be fair to the ataf this came down as a decision from the management, but is appalling service. Why not tell us when we joined the queue

Few staff (bit of the norm for costa at the moment) with no social skills except the lovely person doing a great job of clearing tables. Shame both basement and upper floor were shut as it made it crowded.

We always visit a Costa wherever we go. This one is quite spacious. Staff very friendly. A little bit slow on service, but one of the girls had just started working there so we told her next time we visited she would be a master of making the nice pattern on top of coffee. Still coffee is coffee! Enjoyed it all the same.

Very poor young girl at till was lovely,but had to wait 15mins for coffee that tasted like dishwater.

Harrogate branch - sat upstairs at table while husband got drinks and snack downstairs. Table I chose was not clean. Seemed to be smeared with butter in my corner. Later saw member of staff clear another table of pots whilst I was waiting but that member of staff did not wipe that table down. Thought that was disgusting during these Pandemic times and has put me off going back!

I always look forward to popping in to this branch. All the staff are so friendly and their hot chocolate is delicious.

The service was so slow, waited over 20 mins to get served, only 1 on till and 1 barista with other staff not helping which could have speeded up service
