Certainly won’t be going back. Ordered 2 coffees , a scone and a chocolate brownie. At the point of paying I was told there was no cream with the scone but a pot was clearly visible with the scone and jam. I asked if that would be an available and the young girl agreed it would , at which point a more mature lady came from the kitchen and said it was display only and that they didn’t have any. I suggested that it would be a good idea to remove the pot as it was misleading but the reply was that’s not your decision it’s mine and she replaced the pot on the display. There was then a search for some jam and I suggest someone sarcastically that this may also not be available. This brought about a response that my sarcasm was abusive behaviour and would not be tolerated and I did expect the arrogance of the staff member to lead to be being asked to leave ( I had paid at this time). That wasn’t the case and I was left waiting for our coffees. One coffee was placed on the tray and I awaited the 2nd one but it was clear the assistant wasn’t making a second one. One again the mature lady came out and told me I should sit down and the tray would be brought to our table but was clearly unaware one drink was missing. After much searching to find the original order it was confirmed another coffee would’ve made and the whole tray brought to our table. The lady who brought this was pleasant and a far cry from the mature lady who was clearly in charge. Maybe the mood I was now in has some bearing on my enjoyment of food that was delivered but all I can say is that it looked better than it tasted ( both the scone and the brownie were bland and the coffee barely warm). I have been a customer since the shop/cafe opened and at one point had a loyalty card. This experience and my overall view of the shop has changed and I see no reason to return as there are places offering better quality and value in the Skipton area.

This place was recommended by two different sets of people who knew we were visiting Skipton for the day. Their opinion was spot on. The food was delicious - the fish perfect as were the chips. I had the cod with a salad and coleslaw but mixed and matched with my husband so we got the best of both worlds, It was good value and what lovely staff we encountered. We would certainly visit again if ever in the area, and would recommend to others.

We visited The Marton Arms on a Saturday night in May as part of a weekend of celebration for my mums 80th birthday. What a lovely place to go! Great food, beer and service!👍🍺 Heather and the team looked after us superbly. Thank you! 👏👏

Called in for fish and chips about 440pm ..lightly battered fish and small chips which were ok … not many chips in so I purchased a potato scallop .. it was so overcooked there was no potato in it ..if I hadn’t have driven away I would have taken it back for a refund it was so hard I couldn’t eat it , Poor , I also felt that it looked scruffy behind the counter

We booked a table here for an evening meal during our stay in Kettlewell. We'd been told that the food was good, but what we weren't expecting to find was a pub kitchen serving top-class Indian cuisine. We had onion bhajis to start, and they were quite honestly the best bhajis we've ever had! I then had a chicken cashew curry, and my husband had a mushroom masala. These were both really good, who'd expect to go to the dales for quality authentic indian food! Service was also excellent. The pizzas that were being served also looked good. Takeaway was available as well, which I'd imagine is handy for the local campsite. Overall, it's one of the nicest pubs we've been to for sometime. The bhajis were so good we went back and had some more for lunch the following day!

We visited for an evening meal. It was disappointing. My husbands meal reminded us of a school dinner. Sausage and mash but no attention to detail and not great mash. A simple meal should have been presented well and cooked perfect. My steak was over cooked and lacked flavour. Overall disappointing.

Quant little place, and they've worked really hard to create a cracking little cafe. We visited via Pennine Cruises, moored up by the last lock and then a 15-minute walk. We only had snacks (all nice). Only slight criticism would be a towel in the one toilet, which is perhaps not the most hygienic thing to do. Coffee nice, but for me, I needed it to be a little stronger. Would definitely come back.

Hi I came today with family because I was trying to think of a cafe that offered outside seating and a safe environment for me to have some normality whilst under going chemo I sat outside and my brother in law went to order When our order came the waitress wasn’t wearing any protective gear and it made me feel vulnerable Is this normal or should they at least wore a visor ? I’m not really understanding these rules anymore

Great early evening venue especially on a sunny day, but spoiled by rude staff members. It’s a shame because otherwise it’s a great location. Not a one off occurrence so won’t be going back. Not good when there’s such a big choice of great bars in Skipton

Staff were lovely but having paid £15 to park our car we were looking forward to a lovely lunch and a walk. The walk was great of course but very little choice of food. Ended up with a bacon sandwich which was pretty poor quality and small for £5.50. Ice cream selection was nice though.

I went here for some crepes and I saw they had a sign that was advertising bubble tea as someone that loves bubble tea this was cordial and about 5 of the bubbles. The staff were in a mood and at one point scoffed at a customer when asking for a receipt. There was not a glove in sight when using hands as “tools” and they just squashed the cheese with there bare hands. The food came with 10 minute intervals and same with the drinks the napkins where wet and from reading other reviews I have seen that this was no anomaly. The dirty dishes were everywhere. The work environment was hostile and icy. They have tables by the door and refuse to close it. The food was ok but I wouldn’t recommend it
