Order soup to start and brown bread main course jack potato and chill waiting 20 minutes Arrived with my jacket potato and chilli I asked about the soup she says if you have this now I will bring the soup after you finished your main course I put it in the hot oven.Need some training on sevice bit like faulty towers

We went here for my father-in-law’s 90th birthday celebration (after a canal trip) and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or efficient. We were able to pre-order which made things much easier as there were 20 of us! All the food was excellent and the restaurant was spotless. Would highly recommend!

We came here for some chips from the takeout while visiting Skipton, I ordered first, 3 people after me got their food before me and then when I got the chips it was a very small portion for a regular. Quite pricey for the amount

Proper fish n chips as it should be! Fresh cooked fish & hand cut chips for two, bread n butter, 1x peas, 1x curry sauce weighed in at about £38 including tip, but the place is spotless, staff lovely, and it’s a great place to visit overall

I have to be really in the mood for fish & chips as I usually find them quite dry. We popped in while in skipton with my 7 year old nephew. Service was lovely, restaurant was lovely. I ordered cod and I can hands down say it was the best I’ve ever had! Freshly cooked, not dried out at all and a lovely crisp batter! My nephew loved his fish goujons and finished his whole dish. I’m planning on going back again next week when I have family visiting!

Been many times,it's not the place it used to be. Ordered 2 Jumbo fish& chips,curry sauce snd mushy peas. Fish far from jumbo size,very small and overcooked fish,dreadful dark brown batter,not golden as shown on the menu,had to send it back. The chips were soggy,cold, and full of fragments of chips. Peas were cold.The fish was replaced but far from jumbo. We won't return.

Thought we would treat ourselves to a mid afternoon snack in the form of chips and gravy. Got two portions of each and found a nice quiet spot to eat. Couldn’t pick the chips up with a fork as they kept breaking, gravy was a tad lumpy and our little boy wouldn’t eat them which is unusual for him. At £11.50 it’s an expensive snack.

Awful food and poor customer service. Ordered Plaice which was hard and tasteless. It looked to be cheap supermarket fish which was inedible. I brought this to attention of staff who brushed off my complaint and refused to do anything at all. The fish covering, allegedly breadcrumb, was too hard to eat. Overall not a venue to recommend at all.

On Monday we Called in. It was not busy. The food was very nice and tasty. I had a Starter and a main. The only down side to our visit was the long wait. so its 4 out of 5 i can give it.

On arrival we seated ourselves, after 5 mins we placed our order, one breaded plaice and chips the other battered plaice and chips with a cup of tea and a glass of water. Everyone around us were brought their food before us even though we placed our order before them. After 15 minutes a staff member approached us and said they had done our order wrong so it would be another 5 minutes. After 10 minutes out food eventually arrived. We had waited 30 minutes from ordering to food arriving. When paying we were asked if everything was ok on which I replied no as we had waited so long . A gesture was given that we got our drinks free wow a cup of tea and a glass of water. We will not be returning.

Haven't eaten here for a few years so visited today, Wednesday 6th December, on a rare weekday day out with my husband. Was lovely & warm inside Bizzie Lizzies on a freezing cold but sunny day & we chose to sit in the window overlooking the picturesque canal. We both had the lunchtime favourite cod & chips, with included bread and butter for £12.95, plus 1 portion of beans & also a lovely pot of tea for 2. It was piping hot, the fish was very white & tasty & the batter was delicious, the chips were plentiful & spot on. We both enjoyed it very much & the waitress was very pleasant too. We would definitely recommend it to everyone & would visit again.

Lovely. We had fish & chips and fishcake & chips, both were really nice. Well cooked, generous portions and reasonably priced. The fishcake was really unusual, never had one like it. Not what I was expecting but I really liked it, would definitely order again (and I get why they sell out quick). I've been to both branches and this one is consistently the better of the two. One of our favourite chippies.

Wife and I went to the restaurant tonight. Could not fault anything ! The staff were all very helpful and friendly - particularly as my wife is a coeliac. The waitress ( Anisha ?) was extremely attentive and is an absolute asset to the business. Food was excellent - being served hot - and everything was very tasty. Generous portions and very competitive prices. Would highly recommend and will definitely return next time we are in Skipton.

Went here for lunch, they do a chilli in a Yorkshire pudding and also a veggie chilli, when I asked if I could have veggie chilli in Yorkshire pudding I had to listen to a conversation slagging it off so when confronted them they basically said I’d have to pay for the meat chilli in Yorkshire pudding and a veggie chilli, I didn’t see a problem with them just putting the veggie chilli in the Yorkshire pudding and would of paid the same price, not very accommodating and got made to feel awful because of the conversation that was held right in front of me, in hindsight I should of walked out!!

Went with 2 friends I ordered lightly battered fish with half a portion of chips, my friends both ordered fish and chips. We were shocked at the small size of the fish when it was served, we thought we must have been served a pensioners portion but when the bill came it was charged at full price. Needless to say we won't be going there again. £13.90 for a portion half the size of comparable fish restaurants. Extortionate!!

What a disgrace! I visited on a Saturday evening and ordered Cod & Chips. I was the only person in the take away area, and was served very quickly. My problem is the portion size. Despite being served in what appeared to be a large polystyrene container, you only realise later that the lid is about twice as deep as the bottom. Therefore, the portion of chips was miniscule. You don't even really notice this until later when you sit down to eat. The chips ere also covered by the piece of fish, so it was even harder to see how many you get. The fish was not big either. To be fair, everything tasted really good but I finished what should have been a large filling evening meal, and was still hungry. Previous reviewers complain about the price, but even though I had to pay above the odds at £8.30 for this portion, that would have been fine if I had got a decent portion of food. This meal was an absolute rip off. I'm not sure who Lizzie is but I do know that she is busy ripping off customers with a tactical decision to use these particular containers for take away food. It really is these types of businesses that get other good ones such a bad name. I will never be back - the people of Skipton deserve a better fairer chip shop.

To be fair the food is good,although portion size has reduced,but my main gripe is the price.Highly overpriced and we had to ask for our order to be taken after waiting ten minutes,then it came incomplete.Really not what it used to be, unfortunately will be giving it a miss in future.
