A wonderful evening with excellent food. A group of us visited and we were looked after by a very attentive team of staff. Most of our group had delicious burgers but two of us had the signature fillet steak with a serving of perfect posh chips with truffle and parmesan. Thank you for looking after us.

Shout out to the super staff at Calico Jack in Skipton. Thank you for making our birthday celebration a happy event. Super atmosphere, the most important thing is the support for entertaining children, crayons games etc. It's difficult to find places which cater so well for ages 3-6 year old. Great food choice, seems that Sunday lunch time in October is a great time to go for it was fairly quiet. Not rushed with the food so plenty of time for table top games with the children and colouring. Just a perfect place to spend time and eat with the family.

We called in here to break up a car journey and my wife had the sausage bap and I had the bacon bap. The baps were a good size with plenty of filling, indeed my wife was unable to finish hers. All the staff were efficient and helpful and we may well have to return again in the not too distant future.

We had a lovely couple of nights in this charming pub/hotel. Our room was comfy, spotlessly clean and warm. The food in the restaurant was excellent both breakfasts and dinners. The staff friendly and the place had a lovely cosy friendly feel. Would definitely return and recommend.

Stayed 1 night in the 4 poster bed room. Very Quiet, extremely comfortable though of a limited space. The bathroom and toilet ensuite with a corner walk in shower. The shower hose offers very little flexibility. Even meal was excellent and a Fresh Full English Breakfast The hotel is undergoing refurbishment adding extra rooms. I'm sure it will be a future success

We've eaten here before when visiting Grassington. It was very good in every way the first time and lived up to our expectations. Very friendly service, delicious food, although the soup was so tasty, it was on the cool side. Overall, we'd definitely visit again, when in Grassington. Lovely restaurant setting.

Large traditional pub in small village, with good parking. Decent double bedroom for Ā£130 per night B&B. The pub has been converted into mainly dining areas and, as such, the atmosphere suffers, as it has lost its 'pub' feel, being more like a restaurant. Would benefit from keeping a decent sized area for having drinks, separate from the dining area. Good beer and reasonable food. Venison pies were good but venison fillets were very tough. Would consider returning to stay here if visiting the area again.

We stopped here on the way back to Scotland after a few days in the Dales. It was a late lunch and the place was about a third full. The staff were friendly and welcomed us in. Decor is like a homely. The menu consists mainly of local dishes, but I just went for the cheese and mushroom toastie, and a latte. The cheddar was pretty much what you'd expect, with a tangy and robust taste. To be honest a toastie is hard to get wrong anyway.

We phoned at 7.05pm on a Sunday evening and they managed to squeeze us in. We had onion bhajis to start - the best we've ever had, fresh and homemade - very tasty. For our mains we all had the roast - lamb and beef. They were big, plenty of food and absolutely delicious! Sticky Toffee pudding and Irish coffees to finish, which were also great. I couldn't fault a single thing, the food was delicious and Kevin was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

We visited after a rather wet day of hillwalking and were at first a little concerned about how quiet the car park was compared to others we had seen. Would the food be reflective of the number of customers? We neednāt have been concerned. There was a bit of a wait but our meals were served piping hot and freshly prepared. Two of us āriskedā the vegetarian roast option (which is often pretty awful) and were served an absolutely delicious pie which our companions agreed outshone the roasted meat available. I only wish Iād asked for the recipe as it was outstanding. Our only gripe was the room temperature in the bar which can only be described as ātepidā. As we were somewhat damp on arrival, this detracted a little from an otherwise very pleasant visit.

I attended with my partner and her parents and had the most amazing experience dining Iāve had in quite a while, from the atmosphere, the great service all the way to the delicious meals, I had a fantastic time overall and would highly recommend anyone to go for any occasion. 10/10

I've been here before with friends and with walking groups and it's never disappointed. Friendly, popular (book ahead if you come with a group), excellent range of goodies or just hot drinks if that's what you're after, and an excellent display of traditional sweetie jars behind the counter, as well as quirky artefacts displayed everywhere. And the ultimate accolade perhaps - clearly popular with cyclists (always a discriminating bunch when it comes to cafes and tea rooms. Right on the Pennine Way too :)
