Nice food and no issues with any of it for a large table of us. Staff friendly. We had a mixture of hot food and cake, all was very good and we enjoyed it all. Thanks and keep up the good work

Just checking our bank statement, unable to find the transaction. After looking carefully a gratuity of £3.60 was added to our bill without any mention when we paid and not obvious on the receipt. I really didn't like my toastie, so not very happy.

Disappointing, mediocre and no dogs allowed in the cafe. Tea outside served in paper cups, I won't bother revisiting again, it used to be very nice 😐

We called here for ice cream on our way home after an exhausting day in the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. There's a limited selection of ice cream but we chose Salted Caramel and Thunder n Lightnin' which went together perfectly. Delicious dairy ice cream and friendly service, although the price was a little on the high side.

Very average… tasteless chips, burger that left an odd taste! Very expensive for what it offers… This place gets by with high tourist footfall in a prime site. Avoid it.

Another hidden gem in the middle of Settle town centre. Staying at Kirkby Stephen station, we took the train to Settle for a day out. Settle is a beautiful little town nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We stumbled upon the Ye Olde Naked Man cafe and after ambling around the town centre, decided to come here for lunch. You can always tell how popular a place is by how busy a place is, and it didn’t disappoint. There were queues for the takeaway into the market square, whilst we were fortunate enough to get a table inside the cafe. What surprised me was the variety of coffees available - lots of different blends of roasted coffee beans, all served in cafetières. For lunch, I had the Lancashire Cheese toasted sandwich which has to be one of the nicest toasties I’ve ever experienced. Extremely tasty. My partner wanted a paper cup as a souvenir, and the staff kindly gave us one at no cost! Our visit to Ye Olde Naked Man was fully worth the wait and I’d strongly recommend a visit.

Recommended at our holiday let, superb! Busy, lively, great service, fabulous quiche of the day, well filled sandwiches and delicious cakes (there were 3 of us) Loved the fact that the speciality coffee came in a generous sized cafetiere, giving 3 cups for price of one. We dropped in here for a quick lunch while weekending in the area. The menu wasn't extensive but I soon settled on 2 Yorkshire Puddings filled with roast beef and gravy while my other half had leek and bacon quiche with chips and salad. Being lunchtime they were busy but our food arrived quickly and it was excellent and plenty of it. Piles of lovely roast beef in fabulous gravy nestled in 2 large puddings which tasted amazing. The quiche was well cooked with lovely crisp chips and a good plateful and I was duly informed tasted great. We finished this off with large strawberry and cream tarts which melted in the mouth. A fantastic meal, well served and presented and well worth going back again. Full marks.

We have eaten here a few times, over the years, when visiting Settle, & although it`s been a while since our last visit, the quality of food, & level of service, is just as good as ever. We had a mid morning breakfast roll, served quickly, from a very polite server. The food was simple, but well cooked, & served hot. As we were leaving, it was starting to get busy, and from past experience, the lunch period, is very busy, not surprising considering the quality of food, & the service aspect. We will, no doubt, visit again, next time we are in Settle

Sat at a table outside and enjoyed home made, made to order bread rolls and coffees. Both were really nice. Sat and watched the world go by in beautiful Settle.

The service was slow even with very few people in the cafe. We ordered two cafetières of coffee and received the weakest coffee ever! It wasn’t the blend of coffee but simply a cafetière of water with a sprinkling of 3 or even four coffee grains. It was so awful we managed to sips and had to leave it. Tempted to ask for a mug of dishwater, which might have proven stronger!

Been past twice and the place was busy so you automatically think it's going to be good however our experience wasn't great. We was seated more or less straight away and the drinks order was taken, took over 15 minutes to arrive. Full English was £12.95 - poor Thin sausages, bacon was too salty, egg might as well have not bothered probably best part was the toast. Had a nosy at the menu and they certainly know how to charge on other stuff too. All in all, wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

Called for a late lunch on a cold, wet, miserable Saturday in December and the food was excellent. I love jacket potatoes and couldn’t resist one when I saw that one of the fillings was blue cheese and beetroot! The jacket potato and filling, which was served with a decent side salad, was so delicious! My friend also had a jacket potato, but with sausage, which she thoroughly enjoyed whilst my eight year old granddaughter had a child’s tuna sandwich with a few crisps. We’ve been here a few times now and really like the menu. Prices are reasonable so no doubt we’ll be back when we’re in the area again.

Visited for brunch today and ordered 2 sausage sandwiches , 1 caramel latte and one tea . The caramel could not be detected in the latte and at 95p per shot it really should be . The sausages were not brilliant quality , I had to pull a large piece of gristle out .i really did expect better for nearly £6 per sandwich A shame because we go to Settle often and will now look for somewhere different to eat

Very average cafe in settle. Your choice in settle is limited hence this place does well. We ordered a homemade soup x 2 and sandwich to share. If you call packet powder soup homemade then fair enough. Both soups were laden with salt and straight out of a packet. The sandwich wasn't much better with cheap bread! If you're desperate for a quick lunch and you don't mind cheap ingredients then give a whirl. We wouldn't return. Nothing homemade about this place

Called in for a cup of tea. Looked a nice place and the name made us laugh. Tea was served in a pot, which was appreciated. Decided to have a toasted teacake too, teacake was delicious. We popped in the attached bakery to buy more teacakes. Will definitely be returning.

Came for lunch and enjoyed a very tasty parsnip soup, though my husband's chicken sandwich was a little chewy. We also bought some shortbread from the shop which were lovely.

Well worth the trip over from South Cumbria. It’s a very nice cafe in a great setting. The staff are lovely and all have smiles on their faces, very welcoming. We were quick to be seated, service was great and the food is fantastic with ample portions. The shop next door is also worth popping in and stocking up on baked goods. Enjoy your meal here.

We dropped in for a cuppa and cake, I had a lemon GF cupcake my partner had strawberry meringue we both had a hot chocolate to drink, it was topped with fresh cream a chocolate flake and 4 big marshmallows, the drinks were great but to find a lovely GF cake is very few and far between, this one was exceptionally good, I bought two more before leaving and will be ordering more soon. Stopped in for lunch. Quickly seated. Staff efficient. The food was very good. The menu options were also good, a little bit different. Got pretty busy in to lunchtime. Tasty home cooked food. Great takeaway options and a gift shop. Only criticism would be the milkshake - it didn’t have enough ice cream in it.

This is a must if you’re in Settle. They do drinks (cold and hot), snacks, sandwiches, baguettes and many lovely pastries, cakes and breads. All the baguettes/sandwiches are made fresh while you wait, and are delicious (or the ones we tried were). The coffee is superb - one of the best I’ve tasted, and the cakes very good. All reasonably priced too. We received a friendly welcome, and there was both inside and outside seating. Highly recommended.

We came back to this cafe multiple times during our week in the Dales, even planning our days around the availability of their breakfast baps! These were, incidentally, the best I've ever had (bacon, egg, brown bap). Their Full English was also incredible, and their range of cafetiere coffees was extensive and delicious. Lunch was slightly less amazing but still very tasty (Ploughman's, Gammon egg & chips). Can't wait to visit again when we're next in the area!

Unfortunately I can’t say anything about the food because we ended up not getting any! We were met at the stand saying ‘please wait to be seated’ and given menus with a request to sit where we liked and someone would come shortly to take our order. We quickly decided what we wanted and waited. And waited. And waited. We couldn’t even attract the attention of anyone because no one was about. An elderly couple came in and sat by us. They both went to the loo and back and we were still waiting for service. Another woman came in and was seated but we still had no one come to take our order. After 25 minutes a woman appeared and went to the lone woman to take her order, completely bypassing us and the couple next to us. At this point we had had enough so we walked out. Silver linings though, because we went to the cafe a few doors away and got the same food for half the price and it was fabulous. Bad service means lost custom.

Popped in a a coffee and a cake and there were 2 people in front of me and one lady serving behind the counter. There were a number of other staff members around but only one serving. I seriously couldn’t believe how slow the service was! The food when it arrived was fairly standard cafe fare and the lady who served me was very polite and actually had a lovely manner but OMG a was she slow.

Brilliant breakfasts! We are here nearly everyday of our holiday! The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is delicious and hearty. We mainly bought food from the take away counter as the cafe was always jam packed. The deli shop also has a great selection of local foods.

Whenever we’re in Settle, we seem to gravitate towards Ye Olde Naked Man Cafe and I’m not sure why because previous visits haven’t been the best and there are other places to eat. Anyway, on this last occasion, our experience was greatly improved and we had no complaints whatsoever. As usual, the cafe was busy and we had a bit of a wait for food which wasn’t a problem (in fact, I’d rather wait and know that my meal is being freshly prepared). I had warm, homemade quiche and salad (a choice of three quiches as well) whilst my friend had brie, apple and walnut salad and my eight year old granddaughter had sausage, chips and beans. The adult portions were large and our food was tasty, fresh and excellent quality. My granddaughter's sausage was really meaty and looked like proper butcher’s sausage rather than pre-packed supermarket sausage. It must have been good because she can be fussy and she cleared her plate! Service was reasonable and overall we had an enjoyable lunch. There is two hours free parking, across the road on the square, but you need to display a disc (they are free and we got one from the Age UK shop on Cheapside, although I was subsequently told that there are discs at Ye Olde Naked Man Cafe as well).

Stopped by for lunch, found the staff very friendly and welcoming. Sat in the window, great place for people watching! There was a great range of coffees available. The waitress who welcomed and served us was SO lovely. The cakes were tasty but the brownie wasn’t the best.
