Always pop in here when in Skipton. Clean, decent foods, pleasant staff. Yesterday however female server couldnt give a hoot. Long unkept hair, hand either on hip, in pocket or arms crossed. Looked at everyone like we were all dirt. Spoke appallingly. I waited in line, then she said 'back in a minute' and vanished. 5 mins later came nack and simply said 'yeah?'. Good grief, shockingly bad. Is this the era of a Mike Ashley owned business?

This cafe is upstairs in a department store and doesn’t look too good from outside. It is however bright, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff are helpful, polite and quick and the food is really good and reasonably priced. A great place.

Just had a repeat visit on my own with my baby boy. Staff were helpful and professional as ever, carrying things to my table whilst I parked the buggy. Food is always lovely and fresh and the coffee is really good. I also found out today that refills on coffee are 99p all day if you keep your receipt. Great cafe to feed your baby and refuel while out and about.

Having discovered Wild Mint Cafe on a previous visit to Skipton we called in again for lunch last Saturday. Food and service excellent. Ordered a ham and cheddar toastie, Welsh rarebit and salad, toasted tea cake and scone, and teas and coffee for three. Everything delicious and all served promptly with a smile. Definitely the go-to place whenever we go back to Skipton. Highly recommended.

We always call in for a coffee or cup of tea, we have not tried the food but looks really nice. The little cakes they do look beautiful all the food looks good, the staff are nice to serve you and it is a lovely airy cafe. It is such a shame Rackams is cloing we will miss this little gem and hope to go back a few times more before it closes, recommend if you have not been you do go. Nice pot of tea served too and also different loose teas to choose from, very different.

We have come to this restaurant twice before now, the first time was great! Nice decoration, kind and friendly staff and a great menu. We had the omelettes and the children had the kids tomato pasta which they said was ‘AMAZING!’ The omelette was delicious too with many options for the fillings, the food came quickly. We definitely wanted to return. The second time, the pasta had ran out, it was extremely busy and loud and it took 40 to cook omelettes for us all, it was extremely bad. The staff weren’t as apologetic as they should have been. We shan’t return to wild mint again but our first experience was great which disappointed us immensely.

Popped upstairs for a bite to eat whilst my friend was shopping at House of Fraser on the ground floor. Have to say, I was very impressed. This cafe is much more than a department store cafe. The coffee was top-notch, and the lemon cake delicious. Service with a smile too. Will definitely be back.

The decor here is very nice- modern and fresh. Good choice of cakes on display. The food was really good, chips lovely, but we waited for around 50 minutes for our food. The staff were very apologetic, which was nice. The wait was very long but the food was very tasty.

Always a delightful place to have lunch with a wide choice for everyone. My favourite is the posh fish finger sandwich.Even with long queues the service isn't awfully slow and all the staff are polite and friendly.

Been three times when visiting Skipton. Last time I think there were more people in the cafe than in the store! Great cakes and coffee. Pleasant and efficient staff. Light lunches look good but I couldn't resist the cakes. Light, bright and modern cafe away from the noise and bustle of the High Street. Recommended.

Just wanted a light lunch so we came here and had a bowl of Tomato & Basil soup with a bread roll which was very good and just enough. The Café is really bright and airy owing to the big picture windows that overlook the rear of Rackhams. Some of the tables were a little bit 'wonky' and needed to be packed up at their base but would definitely return.

I have been here for lunch a number of times and always forget to review it, being above a high street store. Without sounding boring each visits I have chosen the soup and hot sarnie, the soup hot and tasty, the sarnie warm and well filled. Yes at times the service can be slow and the place look like it has fallen in total chaos. Despite this the staff are warm and welcoming and kept very busy all day. Worth a visit even for a quick coffee and slice of cake.

I come here often for a drink or sometimes a sandwich as I live just down the road. The food is delicious and not extortionately priced. I am often served by Brittany who is a very pleasant girl. Other staff also very friendly. The cafe is also very pretty with a nice view over Skipton and outside seating. It is always a pleasure to visit.

Had a delicious lunch in this cafe in Skipton. The cafe is located above Rackhams and has a contemporary and airy decor. The deal for two toasted sandwiches and a bowl of chips £10.99 was reasonable and the sandwiches were tasty. The menu offered a wide selection of lunch dishes at reasonable prices. I also finished my meal off with a banana milkshake which was freshly made! Staff were so attentive and friendly, this made our visit all the more pleasant. Will be returning

One of the few places I know of where you can get Rooibos loose leaf tea. Many cafes think that decaf tea is caffeine free....no it isn't but Rooibos definitely is. We were served by pleasant friendly staff. The new style set up and decor are really a great improvement too. Always call when visiting Skipton

Sadly, as with a lot of eating places now the unpleasant cold draught ruins what should be a nice relaxing place to have hot food. This is a no no as anything which arrives hot is cold nearly straight away. Even having a coffee is not too pleasant, anyone would think we lived in the heat of Delhi.

I must say that the old cafe at Rackhams was getting a little tired but since the revamp and new name it is now a stylish and lovely place to visit. The food has also improved greatly with quality food at a resonable price.

Popped in for a quick cuppa after a shopping trip. I had a pot of tea and the girl behind the counter was very obliging and gave me an extra teabag. My mother's flat white was awful: more like a weak americano with milk - it had no foam and there was no espresso richness. We will not return.

I'm not new for negative reviews and also firmly believe in it's not what goes wrong but how it's put right that counts...so I'm writing this review on the Wild Mint Cafe as they really got it wrong today.

We use this newly revamped café every time we visit Skipton and usually choose from a selection of sandwiches and buns. Plenty of choice, good quality and reasonably priced. Now that the café has been refurbished, it provides a perfect light, airy and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy that well earned break mid shopping.

An unplanned visit by us to this very pretty and clean Wild Mint Cafe, served by a young man and young woman who gave us a standard of service which we very much doubt having tea at the Ritz could surpass.

We have been twice and enjoyed coffee and cake and scones. Very tasty. The cafe is a very good size and therefore you are not overlooked or overheard. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. We have been to a few of the many cafes in Skipton and this is the best so far. I had not expected that in a shop cafe, it's in Rackhams. I can only say it's really good. I can thoroughly recommend the cafe and will go back.

Out on a days visit to Skipton we read the menu at the Wild Mint Cafe. Looked fine. Oh dear what a disappointment. Leek and potato soup? It was the worst soup I have ever had. It had no taste, in fact it would pass for porridge, if it had honey on it. Ham sandwich? Wafer thin ham and with chutney. Not nice. The service was very slow even though it was not busy. The staff were very nice and offered to change my lunch. The surroundings were very nice, clean and comfortable. Sorry, will not be going back.

The old cafe at Rackhams was tired and in need of a refresh but not like this. The range of food is smaller and not as good. The prices have gone up and the quality has not. There are too many tables all crammed in so that its too cramped. All style over substance. We have used Rackham's cafe for over 10 years and are now working out where to go in the future.

Quite recently Rackham's has at last refurbished and uprated its toilets and its café/restaurant, renaming it as The Wild Mint Café. It now looks and feels brighter and cleaner. As a café it has a good selection of meals, snakes and cakes. All well presented but just a tad pricier than before. They have to pay for the refurb! Perhaps we should support this type of retail outlet as it seems they are on the decline, i.e. BHS and probably Debenhams. Service was slow, though not busy, so allow plenty of time Plenty of completion in Skipton but it is worth a visit.
