Amazing food would highly recommend!

Absolutely yummy! Got it delivered and was much faster than expected and wow the curries were delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the young lad. Would recommend to anyone 💯

We are currently staying in Yorkshire at the campsite and by the time we got back it was late so we came across this takeaway service that delivered to the campsite we was staying at, we did have to wait but the food was delicious! I had a chicken korma and pilau rice and a tango to drink, the food was delicious!! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Food was brilliant. They also had vegetarian options aswell! The food was just lovely!

I was planning a walking trip that terminated in Malham and wanted to find out where I could eat. Prior to the trip I looked on just eat and saw that the Taj offered a delivery service to the hostel where I was staying. On the day of my trip, having walked 18 miles over the hills, I was looking forward to my meal from the Taj. I checked again on just eat and saw that the Taj was open for delivery to my address. I placed an order that came to about £25. The order was accepted and I thought that was it, but no, the order was soon cancelled. I contacted the Taj by telephone who told me that it wasn’t worth their while to deliver to my address as it was 10 miles each way. My point is why advertise on just eat if you have no intention of delivering to the address covered in the description. I was left hungry and disappointed by the Taj and a nice end to a hard day on the hills was spoilt.

Ordered a set meal for 4 on our way home after a day at York Races. Absolutely brilliant, really tasty & varied dishes. The Taj forgot to include the rice however the naans were great, poppadoms crispy & the whole meal just right in portion size.

Over two hours wait for a curry that still hasn't turned up, lies and a stinking attitude from the person who answered the phone when calling several times asking and expecting an honest estimate of how long it'll be. After 9pm and ruining the evening. Would avoid.

Do not go here! Ordered a takeaway they took my money then cancelled my order! Its open till 11. I ordered at 10.40! When I called the man was rude saying they were shut now. However I paid and got a message saying delivery 11.30! Never will go there again ...

Blackmailers, say they deliever to long preston, paid the delivery charge on just eat ... for them to call me and say they can deliever but want extra £20! Hung up and call back.. changed to £10 told them to cancel. Do no say you cover an area then try ring me of a mobile to cover your back.

Normally a wonderful service...but tonight nearly 90 mins for delivery!!! Phoned and cancelled the order as driver had not even set off and I was told another 40mins !!!😡😡😡😡😡😡

Amazing Take Away!!! I am from Burnley and will not buy another Kebab from anywhere else since having one from the Taj!!! It is a 1hr and 20 minute round trip (depending on Traffic) and is Worth it every time! Service is Exceptional, you can see the Chef's while they prepare the food, always Friendly and thry Greet you Warmly as you enter. Infact after writing this review I fancy one of your Large Mixed Kebab's!!! See you in about 40 minutes 😋

Poor quality food! Ordered poppadoms which didn’t arrive! The pickles and condiments did though! Byriani dishes really poor lacking taste and the sauce was similarly disappointing. Service though was prompt and friendly driver delivered on time.

I came to the UK from Tenerife, to a area in skipton. It was very different to where I came from. I wasn't a fan of the area. However, the staff from a takeaway looked aftered me and my Mrs well. The food was absolutely stunning, some of the best food ive had in many years. My wife was expecting at the time. She was in hospital and the only thing she was craving was the Taj curry. The delivery driver dropped off food to us and didn't charge us a penny. The food served at Taj is wonderful and the customer service is spectaculous. If you are around skipton area, I highly recommend you try it out. You certainly will not be dissapointed.

Ordered a take away via JE. Food was nice. Orion bhajis are massive! Food was about 15mins late but all arrived hot. Would recommend.

It's difficult to find your ideal Saturday night curry. This is our 4th curry from the taj I've got to say I'm impressed would recommend 👌

I’m not sure if it’s my own fault for adding and changing things when I order - which they do get wrong (hey we are all human and make mistakes!) otherwise this is a great takeaway (the kebab meat could be sliced thinner) so I’ve given 4 not 5 stars for those nightly things- but order from here with confidence—- very good.

The Taj Indian takeaway on Broughton Road, Skipton is the best in Yorkshire. The food and service are both excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Both myself and my wife can't praise them highly enough. The Harris's

Chicken Tikka Rajasthani is my favourite curry ever. Every time a winner. This is the best Indian food in the area.

I ordered a small side dish and a couple of chapatis to pick up from here - I work evenings and had snacked at work but fancied a small treat meal when I got in. I ordered online, but it was rejected, so I popped down the road to order in person. Two members of staff sitting around on their phones looking bored; they barely looked at me but told me you can only order a side with a main. Whatever, it’s their business, but their attitudes were poor and with business skills like that I can’t imagine they’ll be around for much longer.

First time we have tried this restaurant and we did it by having a takeaway with delivery, we were not disappointed, the food arrived a little later than advertised, but that was only minor. We had ordered two different dishes and they didn't disappoint both were tasty and full of flavour, my only regret was forgetting to order a garlic naan. Next time we are up here we will be trying them again

Take away arrived 30 minutes late no apologies. Ordered house mix taj curry but was missing lamb and chicken. Full of fish and couple prawns and container half full. Dahl curry mushy and can’t understand why people rate this place.

Lovely food but delivery times are much longer than promised.

We come here often and let me tell you now, these are the best curries. We drive to collect so we can nip into Tesco’s for some pop. Delicious, just as described on the menu, temperature is peak eating temperature- not too hot that you’d burn your mouth but nowhere near the temp to reheat. If I could afford it, I’d come here everyday for my dinner because it’s so delicious. Gentlemen in The Taj are very polite and courteous - it smell amazing in there too. Never a dull moment when The Taj’s food is around. My boyfriend and I recommend The Taj to everyone!

Please do not get me wrong, myself and Ruth weir have bought many curries from here and they have been beautiful, but last night was another level, 1st the orders on their own app are a pound dearer than the menu, it states 10% off on orders over 20 pound ( nope), the onion bhajis are normaly to die for but not last night, they were burnt on the outside and under cooked and soggy inside. Now the pickle tray for 3 people consited of 1 each of the tiny pots, not even 1 per person, and someone must have watered them down as it was runny liquid not nice at all, i mentioned my concerns about charges being different on the menu and app also the dicount but only got told the owner is not here ? Do you not have a manager who can deal with problems, please please sort as you are the best curries around..

This used to be the best takeaway in Skipton. Two weeks ago we ordered and the curries came swimming in grease. Onion bhajis were soggy. They replaced them, which was great and we put it down to a one off. Tonight, the same thing. And different curries just tasted exactly the same. I know it's a busy time of year, and this was genuinely an incredible Indian, but it's hard not to feel that it's just gone massively downhill. Given there are so many great curry houses in Skipton, I think we'll just go elsewhere in future and come back one day hoping this was just a blip.

I have never been there, I don't know why Google asking me, I only went past. But it was a very nice passing by.. so it's 5 star.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time for our curry fixes, there’s plenty of curry houses closest to us however we’d rather travel longer for a better curry - always consistently delicious. Amazing.

Ah...where do I begin. I’ve been to the Taj on many occasion and for the most part (minor errors which we overlooked) it has been an enjoyable meal. However I found myself in quite a different position in this instance, as not only the food was cold, half of it was burnt, under seasoned and covered in a layer of oil and the other items we ordered weren’t event there to start with! Disappointment was my first reaction although I remained positive this would have been resolved. I phoned up the restaurant explaining these issues. Oh dear...this is where it falls apart. What I presume must have been the chef who initially answered the phone clearly wasn’t having a great week. As I explained the various issues he felt it necessary not only to argue the point I was attempting to make but also my own previous career history as a chef which turned out shadowed his own. (I’m not bragging it was said in context so he realised I knew what I was talking about). After explaining all this he refused to refund me the money for a meal we did not eat unless I made the 2 mile walk down to collect it myself and at the same time promise never to use their restaurant again........your wish is my command 😂👌

I made a phone order today I order the taj starter for two -£8.50. 3 chapatis 90each two popadoms two cans of pop. After ordering they said they wouldn’t make the order because I hadn’t ordered a main!!!! Even tho the taj starter costs more than one of there curry’s. i didn’t have the heart to tell them there curry’s are watery and tasteless as I’ve tried them a couple of times different curry’s and both were below average..

Just had to say what a great meal we had tonight. Despite the fact that a rice portion was missing from the delivery, a simple phone call had the rice delivered within 5 minutes. Would definitely recommend Taj.

Had to wait 2 hours till food arrived, and they forgot an item... The tikka masala was nice though. Depends if you're up for the wait and possible missed items!

We have ordered from here a few times now and have always commented on how fantastic the food tastes. Tonight was without doubt the most beautifully flavoured and delicious food we have ever tasted. Best takeaway in Skipton, dare I say the UK, by far!

I ordered the Bangla Paneer Bahar and I think it is the best curry I have ever had. We had the meal delivered and it was as hot as if it had just been cooked. The food tasted really fresh. Thank you.

Ordered two curries and both were abysmal - in fact, I don't think I've ever had a poorer Indian takeaway! Both were devoid of flavour and the salmon in one had been replaced with some generic white fish. Will not be returning.

Great food as always, but they hadn't wrote down my order, so had to wait 20 minutes longer than stated. Knocked 10p off my bill, for the wait. Gee thanks! Try free popadoms and an apology next time. That said, this is not their usual way of things. The boss, who is a top guy, wasn't in that night.

We ordered a takeaway for 7 to celebrate the beginning of 2018. Everyone ordered starters & main courses-everything was correct & the food was hot on arrival. The complimentary poppadoms were well received-thank you. The food was really good-we would especially recommend the starter "Malai Murgh".

Had my first takeaway from the Taj on Sunday. What a great, tasty, very traditional menu with lots of different dishes that you don’t find everywhere. Well cooked, very tasty and reasonably priced. You should give it a go.

Every time we have been to The Taj for a takeaway, we have had the best meal. The food is thoroughly cooked and piping hot. Delicious and good value for money. The staff in The Taj are always happy to help, smiley and friendly. Each time we have ordered we have had a long-ish wait (through Just Eat app - roughly 40 mins on average) but the food is worth the wait!

Just had the most beautiful food. There was an extra 20 mins wait (hey it is payday weekend!) for delivery but it was SO worth the wait. Don't know if they've got a new chef or the old one is just getting better but tonight's food was outstanding. Ordered for 3 & all 3 of us were blown away. Best Indian take away in Skipton bar none.

First time we've used the Raj, the home delivery service was very good, food was fine but was a bit light on the spices and both our dishes could have been a bit hotter as the menu said medium but would have rated them both as mild, another time we might ask for a bit of extra spice but hard when its the first time, peshwari naan was lovely !

Great curry tonight ...beautiful tender lamb ...nicely spiced...love the slightly chunky onions....really nice good deep rich flavour....peshwari naan lovely and sweet how i like...really soft light bread....onion bhajis great value..had to share with mates kids....popadums as they should be ..nice and fresh and crisp.....really good guys...keep up the good work

Just tried The Taj this weekend and couldn't believe how nice and fresh the food was.

Great meal very tasty nicely spiced food. Meal for two with starter, main & sides £22 which is great value. Will definitely return. We collected it as were in Skipton

Went in the bin absolutely terrible it all tasted like it was made a few day ago ,I've not been for a while I think the chef has lost his passion time yo give it up I think

My husband & i had the extra large mixed kebab each and thinking "it wont be THAT big" were gobsmacked when they arrived. I managed a quarter!! (And i have an appetite!) Hubby managed 2/3 of it. Will definately order from here again!

It's lovely food, their kebabs are gorgeous but they are never on time! Always over an hour when they say 45-60 minutes.

I can not recommend this take away enough, the food is always fresh and delicious. It's got authentic dishes as well as classic take away faves. My only request is they expand the vegetarian options again because it's been reduced to only two. But despite this I now just order side dishes which suits me fine. I think you should open a restaurant!

Went there to try this new place after I had experienced some dismal customer service at the Aagrah and this turned out to be the best decision i have made in a long time.The food is excellent and compares favourably with all the major chains.I am now a regular and every meal we had so far has been superb.

Best asian food in skipton.Tasty food,tasty prices and excellent service unlike the service you get in busier restaurants like the aagrah to name but a few.I went there to give it a try and have been a regular since then.

Not had a local takeaway for ages, saw good reviews for Taj on TripAdvisor while checking out somewhere else and by coincidence a menu got delivered the next day. We had a get-together last night and rang the Taj. 6 different meals spanning the menu + assorted rices/sides, delivery arrived on time, well packaged & everything ordered turned up. We're all pretty fussy and it all was tasty, fresh, not at all heavy, excellent all round. Will be ordering again soon.

My 2nd review on The Taj and the first time I've written a 2nd review. I'm very impressed by the high standard of food. It's excellent and it's by far a better taste than any other Indian in the area. On top of this the price is value for money. A full meal (starter and main with 1 side) for 2 is £20. Quick delivery and very friendly service from within takeaway and delivery. 10% discount for collection.

I asked for chicken burger and inside gave me a chicken kebab instead of chicken

As a 'foodie' I would normally go to a certain major chain for Indian food, but as this place had recently opened, I wanted to see what it was like. I expected poor standard watery curry, but was shocked to discover a Fish Pakora better than I have had elsewhere. The main courses were also packed full of flavour and didn't disappoint. For a small take away I am surprised to say that the standard of Indian cuisine is as high as the best of them, and far better than many of their local competitors. Considering they still charge take away prices I would recommend them as great value for money.

I've been looking for Indian food this good for some time. Although Skipton has a good choice of Indian Food they aren't in the same league as The Taj.
