Bentham Balti Indian Take Away in Craven

Our second visit, while staying nearby on holiday. Generous portions and great value. Could have done with a reminder that it is cash only when ordering by phone, but a cash point is just round the corner. Looking forward to our next visit

Visited here while staying in the area, ordered 2 curry's, 2 rice, 2 garlic and a portion of chicken pakora, charged £46.20 which i was happy to pay if the food was fresh and amazing, what i was given was 2 dry stale Naan breads, very watery Chicken Curry with what looked to be chopped cubed processed Chicken, salad was old and discoloured, I didn't look at the other food I ordered and took it straight back, after a discussion I was given a full refund. I had read previous bad reviews but I thought I'd give Bentham Balti the benefit of the doubt and see if the reviews where wrong and/or harsh, the bad reviews where fully founded and my experience was similar. Would not reccomend at all.

Asked in the nearby village pub, Coach House what this place was like and the locals all said it was very nice so we gave it a go. Small place with a couple of staff all seemed friendly. Only problem?! Cash only. Cash point at the co-op but for someone who hardly uses cash anymore it was a problem and I didn't have my card on me. I offered to bank transfer the cash [even with a tip for the trouble but they weren't interested] Thankfully a kind local let me transfer her some money and she managed to get it out of the cash point, problem solved. x2 Onion Bhaji's x2 Garlic Naan x2 Curries £48 - which I thought was a tad expensive. But...must admit, it was worth it in the end. Both curries were delicious, full of flavour and spice!

The mixed tikka starter wasn't good the lamb was inedible it was so hard to chew we discarded it . The main was nicer . Glad it's not my only local Indian and we were only local for one evening

Hmmmm. Not much choice in Bentham. BB was busy. Visiting the area for a weekend. Wanted a meal, with poppadoms for 4. Paid £90, for an average meal. Seemed a busy place, make your own mind up I guess....

good quality and taste is nothing short of poor and customer service is definitely not to standard honestly rate 0/10

Found this indian while staying local and was not disappointed. We stayed in a local cottage for 5 days and went here twice. Tried 4 different curries and a few starters and couldn't complain about anything all top notch very tasty curries. I will be back next time we are down from Glasgow.

Tucked away down a small but well worth seeking out. Great value, party of eight fed for <£90. Negative points, only take cash which caught us out. Really tasty, and would recommend.

On holiday in the region and tried an 'Indian', The only option is the Bentham Balti. Placed an order, no issue. I collected the order from a very small establishment, and I wasn't impressed by the general cleanliness. But hey, it's take away. The food itself was quite disappointing. My Lamb Biryani had tough gristly meat and flavourless rice. The only thing with any taste was the additional veg curry dish. Salt was my best friend that night. The Peshwari Nan was tough, cool and dry. Disappointing!!! and it wasn't that cheap either.

Ordered as we were staying in the area for the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, we ordered poppadoms and chutney tray, tikka starter, chicken tikka madras and chicken tikka garlic with pilau rice and a garlic naan. Couldn’t fault any of it, one of the best Indian takeaways we’ve had in a while. If we’re ever in the area again, we will be ordering again, thank you!

It's popularity speaks volumes. Excellent take away. The onion bhagis were huge and very tasty. Cheesy garlic naan spot on. The chicken Tikka Madras was also very tasty and a good size portion. Will be definitely back.

Curries are lovely especially hydrabadi but got charged nearly a fiver for 2 pound coin comparable size samosas. Wont be getting them again so warning. Make proper samosas and I’ll be there all the time

Amazing curries with lovely owner and staff members! Such a gem of a place, we happened to be passing through the town and have been blown away!

Place is closed. When says open 7 days a week. No sign on door to say why it is closed.

My favourite Bentham takeaway. Excellent curries, tandoori... every time. A wide selection. Now the only Indian place in High Bentham with the closure of Ruposhi. Please note it is a cash only business. They do not deliver.

This would of been a 5 stars apart from missing something of the order ( but after a call and walk they put it right). It also 1 of the vest currys I've had in a long while. I would highly recommend 😋👍

Lovely food, beautifully prepared with care. All the dishes tasted different and was full of spice and flavour. Nothing was too 'hot' (see other reviews). Would recommend for sure!

Great food. Full of flavour, huge chunks of meat and plenty of it. Naan breads delicious. Lovely staff, really friendly and accommodating. They're more than happy to provide dishes not on the menu. Usually a wait as they're so busy.

We ordered food from Bentham Balti Indian Take Away during our holiday stay in Bentham in June 2022, and the food was terrible! There were 6 adults in our party and we all ordered our usual favourite dishes, but only 1 person could finish their meal - all the dishes were far too hot, which completely ruined them! And the food was absolutely tasteless!! Naan breads were doughy - just awful! A completely waste of money. I strongly recommend avoiding this take away.

Fantastic Tandoori chicken, light and fluffy fresh nan breads, superb saag paneer dish. Enjoyed by the whole family. Great value for money

Horrible food experience. Never order hot flavored food because it literally cannot be eaten. Hot should be spicy but it cannot be so spicy that you cannot put it in your mouth. Also tortillas are served in the name of chapati. Would never recommend this place. Only decent thing was veg chat. Horrible Horrible experience

We had a take away from this place, couldn't fault it, service was good and the food was delicious, will definitely definitely go again.

This was honestly the worst Indian takeaway I have ever tasted. The bhajis were soft and had too much gram flour I am pretty sure they had been microwaved and had stale chips in them The mango chutney was watery and very low quality. Nan was soggy and again probably been microwaved also. The makhani was ok but the Cahari was awful with no taste Sorry if this is the best takeaway around I suggest that everyone moves away The shop was scruffy but the person serving was pleasant. I would definitely give this place a miss if you enjoy a good curry

Seriously the BEST curry ever 😁 and it's always lovely, never had a bad one from here. Would recommend to all!

Best Indian restaurant in bentham. Don’t confuse it with the ruposhi restaurant in front of it. The Food at Bentham Balti is amazing.

The best Indian take away I have been to in a long time!! Not to be missed and order early to save the wait. The wait is definitely worth it though. Brilliant food

Called in here with friends, 2 of us had mushroom balti and the other 2 had lamb and lamb Tikka balti, portions were good, food was great and everything reasonably priced. Will be back next time in Bentham!

We all had lamb , 3 passandas, 1 tikka masala, the lamb was as tough as boots. It definitely was not slow cooked it was a roasted lamb joint just cut up and over cooked.

Well we’ll my first time here whilst in the area DONT let your first sight put you off staff are brilliant food is amazing best Indian food I’ve had for a while Cheers guys

Very accomodating, friendly service. I asked for my favourite curry which wasn't on the menu (balti bhuna) and they happily did it for me. It was delicious too!! Mrs got massala and that too was great. Lucky to have these as my new local Indian takeaway 😋

Had takeaway while staying in the area. Excellent service, very friendly and the food was amazing - highly recommend the Shahi Shahslick Bhuna! (onion bhajis a little crisp for our liking, but tasted great!!)

Very helpful, friendly, well-priced and tasty Indian take-away food. We eat a lot of Indian food - this was excellent! Be advised that if you say spicy - you do get spicy. We only go to High Bentham every other year but we will be back next time!

Always good food and excellent service

No frills takeaway. Don't be dissuaded by the plain look of its frontage as you approach though, food from here is consistently of the highest standard. Always busy with repeat customers which is perhaps the best advert of all.

Fantastic food. Always the same quality year upon year. Great lads. Plenty of variety, plenty of meat. Will cater to individual needs.

Food was really nice but took 2.5 hours from ordering to actually get it.

This has to be one of the smallest take away's there is. It is basically a tiny commercial kitchen and a collection desk with about enough room for 2 customers. What this places lacks in size it more than makes up for in terms of the food. The food from here is of a very good standard and has an excellent balance between spice and flavour. Well prepared and good sized portions it is well worth a try.

They make the best Indian food I have ever tasted!
