We went there for dinner on Christmas day (again). The food was absolutely first class and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Genuinely the best meal we’ve ever had and the staff were fantastic. We visited with a couple of people not used to Caribbean food so we opted for the set meal for 4 and it was incredible. The staff were fantastic and we’re just disappointed we didn’t find this place sooner! We will definitely be back!

Can't rave about this place enough; the food was spectacular and hearty, and the hosts are amazingly friendly and welcoming. If you get the chance to go, GO!

Specifically requested crispy fat on the bacon, basically burnt - my god did they exceed! Absolutely BANGING. Only moved to the area a few weeks ago and I’ve been here a good 4-5 times already! Everything so fresh, reasonably priced and quick to serve. I’m now a regular, thank you!

Food was absolutely beautiful. We had mussels and scallops to start, both were super fresh and delicate but with punchy tomato and garlic flavours. The carbonara was rich and delicious and seafood spaghetti was perfectly balanced with a good portion of mussels, crevettes, prawns and calamari. Service was friendly but unobtrusive - truly perfect. The price was extremely reasonable for the portions. We had starters, mains and a bottle of wine for around £60. Although we didn't drive, we did note the car park was large and convenient. Cannot recommend 2Amici enough! Thank you for a beautiful meal.

After a visit to Tuscany in 2023 we decided to try our ‘local’ Italian restaurant. And to our pleasant surprise, the food was just as great as anywhere we dined out in Italy. We’ve been back several times since and the food and service has always been top notch. I’d go as far as to say, this is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the UK.

Would like to give a shout out to the staff on their care and support with our medical emergency last night, from sending someone straight out for a local defibrillator (thankfully not needed) to staying with us until we left in the ambulance. You were amazing and we appreciated it so much, thank you. Also what food we had was delicious! 🤍

We held our wedding at The 1885 on the August bank holiday and WOW what a perfect day it was. From our initial discussion through to the day after our wedding both Victoria & Matthew were absolutely fantastic. They genuinely care for their customers and wanted our day to be as amazing as we did. They were attentive throughout and nothing was too much to ask, they made us feel comfortable and confident in the run up to our day and it was all completely stress free. The staff were brilliant during our day and the food stole the show - our guests said it was like eating in a fine dining restaurant! We can't thank Matthew, Victoria and the team enough for making our day as special as we wanted and for going above and beyond.

Just had a party today , unfortunately we are still eating and they told us that we need to vacate the table in 15 minutes, as we find it rude. I know they are very busy restaurant but we are paying customers as well. Plus my friends already sat in the table and they ask them to off the table as we have only few reservations as far as I know they've been informed regarding additional people coming over and they said yes so we have all to squeeze on table which you can't enjoy proper eating. Food wasn't all the same portions but the same price..

We were asked “Would you like some prawn crackers” when took our drinks order……we assumed they were free…….THEY ARE NOT £4 added for not very many at all, feeling really ripped off!! Every other restaurant would give them for free…especially when THEY offer them. Why offer them when we didn’t ask for them obviously to be deceptive and sneaky upsell? Then when I questioned the bill the waitress sniggered “no they’re not free”. Bad form! Leaves a bad taste in the mouth

Took a chance as driving past. Beautiful views, quaint interior, fire lit and surround by snow. The landlady was so friendly, amazing with the children and we felt warmly welcomed. Simple, small menu but was done really well. Excellent value too! Can’t fault it and will definitely be back.
