2Amici in Calderdale

We have been to 2Amici, Hipperholme 5 or 6 times. We’ve never had a bad meal or experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food has been nothing but excellent. I would highly recommend it.

We were seated straight away, from then; Service was very slow, 35 minutes to get drinks, 50 before food arrived. The food was quite good, reasonably priced too, an extra wine at £6.85 on the bill was unexpected but it was refunded when questioned.

What a fantastic place! It was a busy Saturday night and we had a 5 minute wait for our table. We were greeted by a lovely server who was friendly and funny and eager to make sure we got our drinks! I liked her priorities. We ordered tomato garlic bread for a starter and it was fresh and tasty. I then had lasagne. It was gorgeous and a really nice sized portion. All the servers were full of personality and just created a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.

We LOVE it here, since this restaurant became 2amici, we’ve been 4 times, we’ve always had an amazing time here. Our waiter Tony is not only informed he’s funny, personable and attentive. Amazing from start to finish. We came to the Hipperholme restaurant where we were warmly greeted by the host who quickly showed us to our table in the cosy and welcoming setting. Our drinks order was taken quickly and our food order was taken shortly after. We did not feel rushed at all and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and there were multiple staff members around to ensure we all enjoyed our evening which we did! The starters came out shortly after ordering and were delicious, the mains came out separately due to an accident in the kitchen however the staff member who let us know remained professional and apologetic and we did not mind waiting at all! And this was only a 5 minute wait anyways. The staff also all remembered who ordered what even though it was quite busy, which I thought was very professional. We were offered free bread which was delicious and free shots at the end which was a lovely touch to end our meal. Overall an excellent experience especially the staff members who served us today. We will definitely return!☺️

Excellent !! Lovely food reasonably priced authentic Italian. Been 5 times now to the hipperholme restaurant. with family and kids and had a large family doo with 30 people. The staff can never do enough to make sure you have a good meal and are very friendly. Our 3 year little boy loves it and has made friend with Tony who brings him cheese on request 😀. Lovely place and going again for mothers day.

Spontaneous Saturday night out and we booked online. Contacted immediately by the manager to tell us our chosen time was booked up but gave us some reasonable alternatives. Very welcoming when we arrived and the restaurant was buzzing. Food was beautiful and the wine and peroni was superb. Very friendly staff and our waiter Toni could not do enough for us. We will definitely be revisiting.

An amazing afternoon in the function room for a reception following my granddaughter 's christening. The hot buffet was absolutely fabulous. The variety of dishes was unbelievable; pizzas ( loads of varieties) arancini balls, salads, spicy chicken, bruschetti, onion rings, fries . I really can't list everything as there was so much fabulous food. The service was excellent and the room was spacious and well presented and clean. Can't rate this highly enough for any kind of function. They made our family occasion so special.

18th February, Sunday lunch in the light and airy conservatory at 2Amici Hipperholme. Surprisingly quiet, but they don't open until 1pm. Welcome and service highly professional, smiling and friendly throughout. The staff all really enjoy their jobs. We were given a chef's compliment of mini bruschetta before our shared starter. I then had the lasagne, my wife had one of the specials, a parcel of sea bass, salmon, shell-on prawns and mussels, all steamed in their own juices in a parchment parcel. Both dishes were perfectly cooked, tasty, and large portions. We didn't have room for dessert, just a coffee each. With a glass of house wine and a bottle of sparkling water, all this came to £50 (excluding service). Very good value for money, this has to be the best Italian restaurant in Calderdale. We shall be back!

We booked this place as we were staying close by. When we got there it was quiet and I don’t know why I think it’s a hidden gem! The food was amazing, cooked perfectly. Without a doubt one of the best lasagnes I have ever had. The service was incredible too, the price was very reasonable. I wish I could eat here everyday.

Having visited the Hipperholme restaurant now several times, I can highly recommend. Tony and his team are second to none. The service, attention to detail, quality of food and value for money makes this the best Italian restaurant in the area by far. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Visited the 2 Amici Hipperholme with friends for the first time. We would rate the food as 4. We were seated in the conservatory which was so crowded, the noise reverberate and was difficult to talk without shouting. Not a pleasant evening at all. Would we go again? Yes, but only if we could seat in the main dining room.

Absolutely love it! We went to the restaurant in Hipperholme and from the minute we walked in, Tony and the team made us feel welcome and comfortable, nothing is too much trouble. Spent a bit of time with the owner as well who was really welcoming and lovely. The whole environment is authentic Italian from the warm as friendly welcome to the full of flavour of the food. Oh WOW WOW WOW. Visited 2Amici Hipperholme tonight - Jan 30th - for the first time with three other ladies. Absolutely phenomenal. From arriving to leaving everything was 5 Star. The food is superb - totally authentic and gorgeous. The staff are beyond friendly and ameniable - nothing is too much trouble. It is somewhere we will definitley visit again and again. Cannot highely recommend 2Amici Hipperholme enough. Absolute diamond on the outskirts of Halifax.

Been twice now once at each venue .the food was excellent ,reasonable and the staff so accommodating .No pressure at all we had 2 starters 3 mains 3 desserts 3 pints Moretti . Bottle of red and 2 espressos and 3 complimentary limoncellos £105 (‘our son treat us) I had seafood risotto the best I have ever had. . By the way it wasn’t the early bird on a Saturday . Must add if you go between 4 and 6.60 Tuesday to Thursday . That’s the early bird times one has a choice of 31. ! dishes .Go you will be totally satisfied I’m sure. . Loved this place, visited the new Hipperholme restaurant and the atmosphere was wonderful. The warm welcome on arrival, beautiful decor and outstanding food and drink's. The waiter's were very attentive, couldn't do enough and the food was delicious. Probably the best italian we have ever had. Really tasty, prawns and steak cooked to perfection. We had starter, main and dessert. The place was packed so would book in advance for a table. Really superb evening and we will be back for sure.

Really lovely varied menu and great food. The staff were very attentive even at a busy time (new years Eve) and we all enjoyed our meals. It was such good value, most places put overpriced set menus on for new year but we just ordered off the usual menu. We have been a few times and will definitely continue to support. Thank you

Went for the first time with friends at the beginning of December we all enjoyed our meals so much l booked for the family to go on boxing day, we all ordered different meals which arrived together and everyone said they were delicious 😋 we will definitely be returning in the new year

This was our first time here. It came highly recommended by some of our friends. On arrival it looks a little lacking in ambiance. However, from the initial super friendly and professional greeting it was clear this was a place that really cares about the customers’ experience. We ordered the garlic pizza bread with cheese and a starter of garlic mushrooms in a stunning cream sauce. It’s a good job we shared these as the portions were very generous. Our main courses were just as delicious. I had the Lasagna and my wife had the carbonara. Both of these dishes were really tasty and expertly cooked. The service was friendly and helpful and left us feeling really well looked after. This, together with four pints of beer came to less than £60 which is excellent value for money. This is a restaurant that is really worth a visit. We will be back soon!! Thank you!

After hearing good reports of 2Amici in Hipperholme we thought we had to try it. Fantastic from start to finish the food was delicious and the service excellent,especially Tony. Nice little touches and the shot of Amaretto at the end rounded off a delightful meal. We'll definitely be back in the near future.
