Had the most delicious Sunday roast here - delicious food, generous portions, good customer service and such a cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We have visited twice now and the food and the staff are amazing, especially the gent who oversees front of house including our children in the conversation and never letting our glasses be empty….we will be back

Had lovely meal here. Staff and service excellent. Now I don’t have any problems with dogs in places . However we were Sat enjoying our lovely meal when two dogs were barking and not just once. The dogs owner did nothing to stop them, ie take them out! Like said don’t have a problem with dogs but this was very off putting and wasn’t handled well by their owner. One of the staff did come over and was asking if everything was ok, apart from the noise! Other than that lovely place and delicious meal.

Great service from the minute we stepped in. Great menu, varied from GB classics to Asian. Great mix of sandwiches. Fantastic homemade soup ( leek & potato on this occasion). Apparently there were also 5 or 6 salad bowels on the menu but unfortunately, I'm salad blind. Fairly priced. Lovely setting. But please, please get a better sign guiding you into the car park. I also only saw steps upto the entrance so please check access before booking a table. Also great selection of real ales, wines, coffees and other beverages. Loved it !

Pretty much guaranteed first class fresh food here. Never fails to impress and the service is always efficient and with a smile. Our Goto for Sunday lunch. Always best to book though which can be done online or by telephone

We visited The New Inn at Holywell Green on 12/07/24 . We were greeted by a member of staff who was very delightful. We did book a table as it was a Friday, it can be extremely busy at The New Inn on a Friday . We were shown to our table, our drinks order was taken promptly. The Menu had a fantastic choice choice of meals . Also a special’s board available too . I ordered the large haddock and homemade chips . I can honestly say it was cooked to perfection, the batter was so crispy . My mother had the beef shin pie , it looked and tasted beautiful she said . The atmosphere was really great lots of people inside , friends and family swapping stories. The New Inn is definitely a great place to go for a meal and a drink with friends and family. The staff are all very pleasant nothing is too much trouble . You’re made to feel very welcome . Beautiful views out over the valley if you dine by the window . Carpark is really big too so plenty of spaces . I can safely say we will be back very soon .

I hadn't been for ages so it was a lovely return visit to celebrate my mum's birthday I'm pleased to report. Food definitely improved and service, with a 😊 now, a lot better than last time I came 😀. Looking forward to coming back again but sooner this time.

Visited on a Monday and stayed over in our motorhome. We were given a lovely warm welcome and enjoyed a fabulous meal with great service. Will definitely be back.

Very vegan friendly, thank you! Lovely people who seemed to enjoy their job, which they all did brilliantly We used to go regularly over 30 years ago( when a pint of Tetleys was £1!) Loved it then.. and loved it today, many happy memories, and it didn’t disappoint ( well, the weather did!!😂😂)

Not sure if it's changed hands, the food was good, however we have had much tastier food here in past years. Didn't particularly like my beef cut thick!, would have preferred thinner slice x 2. Veg and gravy tasty.

All very pleasant, but that said I’m sorry to say the ‘pub grub’ is exactly the same as the pre pack - pre portioned ‘pub grub’ you can get anywhere. I’m not sure what has happened to all the home-made dishes we have enjoyed on previous visits.

Having visited here many times over the last 20 years, it is always a nice place to eat. It does have it's ups and downs, but on the whole, it is certainly somewhere to go for a good steak, or a classic belly pork dish.

Christmas lunch not great. Been loads of times before but Friday lunch was less than average

The place is clean and tidy . Staff very efficient and the food was very tasty ....so good we've booked our family Xmas meal.

A quietly located pub/restaurant with amazing views across the valley. Good value for money. It's cozy inside and alwsys appears to be busy. The locals love it but friendly atmosphere

Staff at the New Inn are always so welcoming and friendly. The food is fantastic. Freshly made, top quailty and full of flavour. It's now our "go-to" pub after moving to the area.

Had the steak night deal with free bottle of wine, steak was excellent as were the accompanying mushroom tomatoes onion ring and chips, £44 for two, will be returning to try the set price two or maybe three course menus, also look to be great value.

Lovely Christmas lunch today. Traditional Roast Turkey couldn’t fault .The Rhubarb and Custard Crème Brûlée, with brandy snap was truly amazing.

What a great pub, loved the beer battered fish, but the treacle sponge pudding was beautiful, will be going back again, even if just for treacle pudding.

We called in unplanned today with our pooch who we would normally leave at home but couldn’t today. We were made to feel very welcome and loved how child and dog friendly they are, our almost 3 year old was also made to feel very welcome and they really think about kids and what they might need. I’ve only ever been for a sandwich or drink in the past and have always thought it was a lovely pub. Had a ‘proper’ meal today and ordered the duck breast, it was absolutely spot on and I was so impressed. This will definitely be our new go to and we can’t wait to try Sunday lunch.

Poor experience at this pub with misleading pricing on the 2 for £22 menu. The offer included a shin beef pie and gammon in the 2 for £22 but we were charged £26 for both items because my wife chose the smaller size pie however there was no reference to this on the offer menu so we were charged £4 more because we ordered a smaller meal! This was discussed with manager who completely refused to amend the bill. The food was ok but the managers refusal to do the right thing spoiled the evening.

I can't comment on the food but a distinct lack of communication seems to be the order of the day, I would suggest that if you need an answer to a question, that you go in, don't wait for them to call you back as they tend not to in my experience.
