Absolutely brilliant meal on Friday for my daughters birthday. The food was exceptional, and the service spot on. The atmosphere was lovely, friendly, and welcoming. Exactly what you want for a family run restaurant. (I'm assuming family ran as that was what it felt like) Lovely chat with the owner as we were leaving, too. Looking forward to visiting again.

Had such a lovely family meal tonight, relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the food was beautiful. Our children were made to feel so welcome and loved catching the dough over the counter with the Owner Dario. Can't wait to go back, thank you 🙏

We only had take away but the food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was vibrant. We will be going there again.

A lovely restaurant in Hebden Bridge. My husband enjoyed the special burger with cheesy chips followed by profiteroles. I have coeliac disease and require a strict gluten-free diet. The chef came over and discussed gluten-free options, providing reassurance that I was in safe hands. I had a gluten-free 12" ham and mushroom pizza with gluten-free fries, followed by lemon sorbet. We will definitely be eating here again. The gluten-free pizza tasted fantastic, and I took the leftovers home (see pic)

Atmosphere was lovely - nice June day and plenty of people in. We had a table for 2 upstairs, and ordered Olives, a bottle of house red wine and 2 pizzas. Everything was great: house red wine was great, and pizzas + service was excellent. Would defo recommend

The food is very good, but after paying £13.30 for one pizza. I Iooked at my receipt, to find 2 charges, the pizza cost only £11.30, and id been charged £2 for something that just says "charge". The server was very rude and all she did was take my money and put it in the till, im guessing this was a service charge

Had a takeaway pizza, very tasty. Often used Origano before and been better impressed with the courteous service than on my last visit - they weren't rude but just disinterested.

It's my absolute favourite place which I'm visiting regularly. The food is amazing, the best pizza and calzone which l ever had. Lovely staff and the owner, great atmosphere.

Nice restaurant with friendly service. We ordered pizza and wine and it was fine. It wasn't neapolitan style pizza as we like but was very tasty,full of flavours. Very friendly chef and the owner came and talk with us which was a very nice gesture.

We used to live nearby, during covid would get 2 takeaway pizza every Friday as a treat. Now live in Preston and stopped by hebden basically to come. Is as good reasonably priced, friendly, unpretentious/ authentic as ever. Hebdens best food thing

Had a fabulous chicken with flat bread and salad, so incredibly juicy and tasty. Would recommend just lovely people. Wine was a bit questionable lol but all in all love it

Our second visit in a matter of weeks and both times everything has been superb. Delicious food (Mediterranean veg pizza and veg lasagne), generous portions, fab atmosphere and lovely service. Looking forward to going again soon. Phil, Sally and Delilah the Golden Retriever

Came in for a take away pizza and calzone. Very delicious and authentic tasting food - full of flavour. FYI - Bring your own bag if taking away as they dont supply them for take out.

Gorgeous little restaurant. The food is beautiful and the service fantastic. The Italian Chocolate cake is to die for! Dario and the staff work so hard. A definite place to return to.

We called in here yesterday for a take away pizza this being our 1st visit. It had a wonderful warm atmosphere, staff very friendly and informative, saw our pizza being prepared and cooked. Restaurant cleanliness is excellent. We are here on holiday but will definitely pay another visit and eat in delicious choice on the menu

Really great place. The food quality is top notch and the owner is super friendly and kind.

Wonderful. As busy as they were they created a table space for an extra 2, us. We had vegetarian pizza and Napolitana pasta, my partner's taste buds needed extra sauce which they created in a moment and was delicious! The house white was lovely and as fairly priced as the meal, all in all it was the perfect finale to our Hebden bridge adventure.

Become a regular date night spot for me and my partner. Always lovely service even on a busy Saturday night. Fabulous food at a very reasonable price. £50 for shared starter, 2 mains, bottle of wine, and two coffees - can't beat it. Would be great for families too with a good range on the menu for all tastes

Lovely place to take the family.

Superb. It was certainly a very nice treat to enjoy this pizza. I had The Mexicano, and it was delicious. What made things extra special was the pizza being prepared by the man himself. It was a sad day when Dario left Sowerby Bridge for his new venture, after years of outstanding service and wonderful pizzas. It has taken a lot for me to forgive him. But as I have now moved from Sowerby Bridge and live in Brighouse it's time to let bygones be bygones, and a visit to his new joint was long overdue. I was not disappointed. The famous Dario greeting and dough tossing skills all go to make this an event to behold. I'll be back Dario. Fire up the ovens. Keep up the good work and thanks 👍

Have started going to origano on a weekly basis. Usually eat in, last week got takeaway, no problems...tonight very disappointed and will be giving a wide berth. Arrived at 545, placed an order was told 30 minutes. So, went to the coop arrived back at 6.05. Asked how long it would be as I was ringing for a taxi. Was told 5 minutes. Taxi arrives, ask again how long food is going to be was told in a minute or so. Taxi left as it was apparent it still wasn't ready.Obviously, something( I believe the chicken)had been forgotten. Rather than admit it and let me order the taxi later,I had to order the taxi again at 630,when finally food is brought by the youngest member of staff, I suspect because the the lady who is front of house didn't want to face an angry customer. No apology/or update was given at any point whilst waiting nor as we left. To add insult to injury, I had to pay £7 in taxi fees rather than the usual £3.50.

I love these sort of places, great atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food. My new favourite.

I almost never post reviews (this might be my first on Google). I was recommend Origano by the B&B landlady. Having checked the general reviews (mostly excellent) I booked a table for 7pm on a Friday. I arrived on time and was seated promptly. However, after 15 minutes I could see more and more takeaways being dealt with promptly but nobody had offered me even a menu or a drink. Two staff just kept walking by. I left and went the pub next door which has a lovely upstairs restaurant. I only wrote this review because I noticed another person’s Friday evening experience of really poor service and an emphasis on the takeaway side of the operation. Sorry - I was actually looking forward to this.

Proper stuff, restaurant was cosy and it seemed like a family business. Prices are more than reasonable and the service was brilliant.

Avoid on a Friday evening!!! I've never left Google reviews before but felt compelled to do so in this case. Origano is a great restaurant/ take away usually. However on Friday my family booked a table and after one and a quarter hours had received no food at all. The restaurant was extremely busy with take away customers who took priority over tables. More and more take away were cooked and served and hardly a trickle of food made it to the tables. The chef was working flat out and never stopped. However. After 1and a quarter hours we had only received our drinks. There was no communication from any staff, when we asked staff how long we would be, they never returned with an answer. I know of at least 2 other tables that felt the need to walk away still hungry. It's a shame, Origano is usually so good, with attentive staff and great food. I feel totally let down by my families poor experience. I know I'm not alone in feeling less than satisfied with my experience here tonight!

Waw! What a gem of a place. Fantastic welcome, so family friendly with couples, grown up groups all mixed in a really relaxing fun atmosphere. Food fantastic. Nicest wine I have had in a long time at the most reasonable price since forever. I don't want to say much more in case it spoils for you the pleasant surprise we had of discovering this place this evening. It's a must try. You will go again if you can. We love cooking and we share this with our kids. Tonight's food extravaganza display of cooking with passion and ease was fantastic for them to see and us to watch. Amazing

Warm, friendly pizza house with excellent staff. The pizza bases are made out of lovely dough, crispy and chewy. Toppings are delicious and high quality, especially the Mediterranean veg which is very flavourful. A little too much tomato sauce for my preference but this is a minor complaint! Vegan options are good (though if they ever branch out into stocking any vegan meat subs I’ll be even more excited!)

Oreganos is always outstanding to eat in and take away. The pizza is delicious and incredible value for money. We often take our children (1yo and 3yo), Dario and the staff are amazing with the kids. The friendliest and tastiest place to eat in Hebden Bridge.

We went to Origano for the first time this evening and what a lovely experience it was. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly, with great service. We had our two young children with us and the chef's went out of their way to make the evening an event for them. From being invited to watch their pizzas being made, to them catching pizza bases thrown across the counter to them 😁. The food was first class and authentic - I had the calzone which was one of the best I've had and the chocolate dough balls are pretty special. The prices are very reasonable and we will definitely be visiting again. Thanks for a great evening!

Ordered takeaway and was told 15-20 mins but ended up having to wait 40. Had a Med Veg pizza and all the toppings were very greasy and bland, barely any seasoning. Quality of the cheese wasn't great either. Base was decent.

Two visits recently to this simple restaurant (and takeaway combined). We enjoyed delicious pasta the first time (excellent spag. carbonara) and wonderful pizzas the second. Oh and the deserts (tiramisu) were excellent too. All served with a cheerful smile. We'll be back!

Staff: Staff were super friendly, clear and good ordering process, and the chef chatted to us while we were waiting (and watching them hand make the pizza) making sure we got what we wanted but also just being really friendly. Venue: The place looks super clean and lovely, loads of space, and the fact its all open and you can see them make your food is fantastic. Food: Food tasted great, full of flavour, and great value.

Upfront this is a semi biased review! Dario (formerly of Sowerby Bridge) has been feeding me since 1997. Things change and he moved to Hebden bridge. It's a bit more artisan than the old days but if you liked Dario's - all the old skool favourites are still there. Give it a go....

Really lovely place to eat, feels like it's family run with such nice staff and atmosphere. We had a fab meal and actually didn't take pics as was so delicious that we just got stuck in!! We were given some lovely dough balls whilst waiting for our meals which was a nice surprise - would highly recommend this restaurant for its traditional food which you can watch being prepared and the ever present but non-intrusive staff. Take-aways also avaliable.

Absolute disgusting food need to learn how to cook came burnt and tasteless and when complained to the woman she didn't care what so ever just to quick to take money so if you enjoy burnt and tasteless food with staff who are rude then go by all means

We ordered take away to be delivered on a Saturday night. They’re very busy, which is great for them, but not great for us. The order was supposed to take 90 minutes to arrive but actually took over two hours. In the end we phoned up to try to chase up the order. They apologised, but it’s probably best not to accept orders if you can’t fulfil them. So be wary of ordering on a busy weekend night.

The only takeaway I'll go to. I used to travel to sowerby Bridge to get my dario fix, when I found out he was opening up in hebden bridge under the name oreganos, I was pretty stoked! The food is always bang on, you can see the open kitchen and that everything is nice and clean and the staff are always lovely. I recommend to everyone. Occasionally you have to wait a little bit longer than expected for the food, but it's well worth the wait and expected from a place with such a good reputation as everyone wants to go there!

Came across this lovely little place after a day of walking in Hardcastle Crags, really welcoming staff and was pleasantly surprised to find it was dog friendly as we'd originally planned on just getting takeaway. Food was gorgeous and service was brilliant, would definitely come again next time we are in Hebden Bridge :)

My first visit and it certainly won't be my last. Really welcoming space with great decor and staff who were the perfect level of attentive and available but not in your face. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, loads of choice, vegetarian and vegan options too, and you can even order gluten free pasta and pizza!! All cooked from scratch with real imported flour from Italy. It was not too busy (and there is a big room upstairs) so it felt very safe from a covid perspective- nicely spaced. The take away option is next to be tried out, can't wait to choose my meal 😁

Dined here, prior to Little Theatre visit. Best Calzone I have ever tasted!!! 😊 The prices were very reasonable, licensed, staff were lovely, you can eat in or takeaway and it was very busy. So impressed, you would be if you tried it!!! Will definately be returning, when in the area 👍.

What a refreshing change to have a delivery of fantastic food and not something disappointing. Generous portions’ tasty food with attention to detail as it would be if eating in the restaurant. I would have been happy with just the seasonal salad as that in itself was wonderful. Thankyou

Absolutely fantastic gluten free pizza. Great, friendly service and the lovely owner (i assume) gave me a delicious gluten free Cannoli to try. Not many restaurants go out of their way to cater for coeliacs but this place is fab 👏

I've never had a pizza that tasted of nothing before. We tried all sorts to flavour it. The tastiest thing on it was mushroom. Weird.

Outstanding. I ordered a Burger with Cheese and Onions, Fries and a Salad. Without question the best Burger I have ever had; Fresh, succulent, chargrilled, with onions and cheese in a really tasty bun. The fries that came with it were fresh, crispy, and seasoned. The salad side I ordered was super fresh and tasty too. It was delivered before the time I expected, piping hot and super fresh.Worth every penny. Thank You, Origano.

One of the best Burgers Ive had in a very long time. Seriously, these are really nice takeaway burgers and very well priced. I'll be getting many many more. Nice fries, nice garnish. Early issues with picking up orders don't seem to be an present now and have since had nothing but good results.

Been getting Pizzas from Dario for more than 20 years when he was in Sowerby Bridge thankful he opened Oregano in Hebden Bridge these are the best pizzas around he and his staff are an asset to our town

I have just eaten the gluten free half bolognese half Napoli pizza. I have never eaten such a light pizza I could hardly believe how easily each mouthful went down! So fresh and tasty too. I feel so lucky to have come across such lovely people too. My mouth was exploding with favour anchovies and tangy capers a perfect creamy nutty cheese then aromatic beef warm and earthy. Sitting by the river the whole thing was a holiday within a holiday.
