Absolutely beautiful place, authentic, intimate and attentive staff, loved it .

We went there for a lunch with our daughter, we were first in when it opened and were greeted straightaway by a really nice young lady who fully explained the options. As the food was cooked fresh I couldn’t get the beef stifado - one of my favourites, but not to worry. The food came and it was brilliant so fresh, tasty plentiful- it was amazing and I would highly recommend a visit. Well done everyone there.

I really liked the atmosphere, the music, the service. The food was generally good on the other plates, but unfortunately the salmon plate was really overcooked... my meal was a bit ruined.

Nobody in, stood waiting for a table for 20 mins nobody came down ended up sitting ourselves down, still nobody came. Walked upstairs and asked if there were any chance of getting a table (when the place was empty) they said yeah no problem they’ll be down in 2. 15 mins later still nobody arrived so we left. What a waste of time

Visited last week for my mums birthday. Service was excellent and the food was lovely. Owner is very helpful and also came over to talk to us at our table when we had finished our meal. Very friendly and chatty. We will be returning. Highly recommend.

The food was nice but the corner chicken lacked abit of flavour would of tasted more nice with garlic or abit of pepper girls enjoyed there pizza and Spaghetti Bolognese

Ate here a couple of weeks ago had heard good reports. The food was excellent and service was good. If you like eastern mediteranian food give it a try we will be back.

me and my boyfriend ate here tonight and absolutely loved it - the atmosphere for a start is wonderful, you really feel like you’re on holiday :) the vibes are so nice and chilled, the people really look after you and are so friendly and lovely, and the food is delish. looking forward to going back!

First time we've been but will definitely be back. Between us we had a pizza and a traditional, I think, iskender kebab. Lovely and very reasonable.

Friendly owner who goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. Varied Turkish/Greek menu at reasonable prices. You can bring your own alcohol without corkage charge which is brilliant. Would love more variety of seafood/vegetarian dishes eg prawn, veg and halloumi skewers served with rice or a fragrant fish dish other than salmon and salad. Toilets are outside and a bit grim, could do with an overhaul.

Food was very good and we didn't have a problem with the service the owner was very friendly and chatty. We went at lunchtime and were the only people there. Would go back again

The best place in Halifax !!! Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, extremely welcoming and kind owner. If you haven’t tried this place yet, it’s an absolute must ! :)

First thing to say is the food is excellent. We shared the mixed mezze which we enjoyed enormously. The disappointment came when we were asked to vacate our table after barely an hour. When we go out for dinner it's an occasion, we want to relax and chat whilst enjoying a good meal. Whilst appreciating the restaurant is quite small, I would hope that is factored in when taking bookings, allowing people a decent amount of time to enjoy the experience. Hopefully this was a one off and we will return to try it again.

Booked a table for 7 30 only to get there and be told the table wasent ready and could you come back in about 15 minutes. We found a pub nearby and waited.they rang us at five to eightby wich time we went to cinamon.not good service at all.im sure its a great place if you live in west vale but when your travelling from leeds to get there its very poor service.well disapointed

Really friendly staff and a quirky place. Food was ace. Tasty, decent portions, not too expensive. Take cash and your own drinks. We'll be going back!

Fabulous special 3 course meal at £23.50 You need to be a person with a massive appetite to get through it all. Don't worry as they'll provide you with boxes to take it home

We had only heard good things about this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Good food with a great atmosphere. Yes it may be small and not as large as many other restaurants but that also ads to the ambience of the restaurant. It’s a good idea book as they were very busy this evening and that’s mid week!

On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table. The atmosphere was excellent with Turkish music playing in the background. The food was, in one word, superb. If you want great service, a wonderful atmosphere and excellent food, then The Corner is the place for you. I have given this restaurant a 5 star rating.

Having been once and had a fantastic experience. We re-booked . Unfortunately we got caught in traffic and were going to be 15 mins late we dutifully rang the restaurant and informed them only to be told they couldn't hold the table . I could understand if we hadn't have phoned in or we were going to be any later but 15 minutes. Sorry but very disappointed with the corner on this occasion.

Ok, I heard a lot of good stuff about this place and nothing negative. Very similar menu to other local #turkish #greek places but it lived up to the billing, Top tip, that was the world's largest Pide and the mixed hot meze starter was banging.

Food was good but the wait for the main courses was unacceptable. We were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu whilst waiting for the main courses.

Very very impressed. Went year mid week, shying away from our typical curry after hearing good things and did not disappoint. Got the set menu for two, super tasty, a very good amount of food, excellent service by all staff and already recommended to multiple people. Note, no licence but supermarket opposite and can bring your own.

Just eaten here tonight Wednesday 9th August 2023, had a cosy table for 2 in the window. Very nice atmosphere, staff very friendly, food was served within a reasonable time even though it was quite full, they have limited alcoholic drinks menu which they are honest about at the moment as they have recently just got the alcohol license, so they do allow bring your own alcoholic drinks and are happy to provide appropriate glasses and ice ( please don't take advantage of their kindness 🙈) food was authentic and fabulous, portion sizes were generous too, the bill was less than £60 for 2 people having 3 course and a couple of glasses of their wine. 5 stars, gets my recommendation. Go eat & enjoy. 🤗😉

The food, service and atmosphere are all excellent. I’ve been a few times now and it never disappoints.

We're so lucky to have this place on our doorstep! We have not only eaten here several times but have also had food to takeaway as well, as it does feel like a healthier takeaway option to the usual curry or Chinese! I tend to stick with the same dish, the chicken skewer, which is served with rice, salad, a dip, and freshly baked bread. The other half has mixed his meals up but usually has some kind of lamb dish. We all really enjoy the food, the atmosphere, the service and the cost! There is no alcohol licence at the moment, so you can take your own booze. Ozzy and his staff work hard to make sure that you've had a great time and everything has been to your liking. It's a definite favourite for the whole family.

I would like to have given a proper review but we were messed around so couldn't go. Originally we were booked in for 6:30pm but when the organiser phoned on the day to confirm numbers they told her that we would have to change the time to 7:30pm. A little annoying but we all agreed. As we were on route our organiser received another call to put us off again until 8pm. This was not acceptable so we all went to Cinnamon at the Mill instead and had a wonderful meal. With such bad service/planning I will not be returning.

Good morning. Last night your young waitress (don’t know her name but had brown hair/ blue jeans) was excellent. We had a table of 4 on side of restaurant. was in a rush to get out to get a taxi so didn’t get a chance to say Thankyou properly to her. We had a small mix up with starters (It was understandably very busy last night) however you stayed professional & sorted the situation efficiently & quickly under busy circumstances. You had a great smile/ sense of humour & brought a great vibe to the place. The food was excellent & you all done an excellent job. Not to mention that the quality of the food was excellent. Keep up the good job guys, all of you. I recommend this place. Great atmosphere & staff & food. Thankyou. Definitely recommend. Good job.

What an evening, whilst celebrating my grandparents anniversary there were nothing but good vibes and happy faces. They were beyond busy and still had the time for each and every customer. If you are looking for a home away from home this is the place!!!

I have been in for a couple of Turkish coffees, and from there we decided to try the takeaway. It was absolutely lovely. Wholesome, well cooked, well served and from a lovely group of people. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fabulous and we will definitely be booking for a dinner in the near future.

Small place so make sure you book. Everything was excellent. Had the mixed cold starter with the 2 person combo meal which includes dessert. Everything perfectly cooked and the staff were really friendly and fun. Great value!

One word - exceptional! I have eaten from here multiple times, i could not say a single bad thing. Each and every time the food is absolutely delicious, full of flavour and cooked to perfection.I recommend this place to everyone I know, what a delight to have such an establishment local to me. Enjoyed a fabulous meal at “The Corner” yesterday teatime - Ozzy and his team were fantastic. Food was great, fantastic value, lovely ambience. We’ll definitely be going back - will be good to get more covers when the extension is complete. I was so excited to learn this Turkish restaurant had opened on my doorstep and the best way to describe this place is çok güzel !!! Food is to die for and service is excellent. This little gem gives you the full Turkish experience as soon as you enter. After spending so much of my time in Türkiye I can certainly say it is a perfect alternative when I am home in the Uk. We loved it. We visited as a party of 8 including children and vegetarians. There was not only something for all but plenty of options too. Book well in advance and bring your own alcohol. Reasonably priced too
