The food is amazing when you can get some! Multiple times now I have come in time of the opening times to get food to find that they've closed early, just at the peak of dinner time. Just constant disappointment, if you are going to close randomly then maybe change the opening times to "may vary".
Food has gone down hill. I got the chicken lasagne, chicken was very light in colour and looked undercooked, overall the dishes we ordered lacked flavour and reminded me of children’s school diners
Trembling Madness is one of our favourite spot for crazy beers. They always have such nice beers variety on offer on tap as well as cans and bottles. Such cool & cosy atmosphere inside. Upstairs building has different kinda ceilings like historical stuff. I heard the beams are from old Viking ships. Quirky and cozy seating area.
The shop downstairs has large layout of beers variety you can ever see which you could take upstairs to buy and drink if you’d like. Limited but delicious food specially cheese boards that are great we friends shared. Happily recommend

Large garden centre with two cafe, the walled garden cafe is large with many tables, serving hot and cold food, really nice cake selection with great coffee. The indoor section has many ceramics, garden furniture and many items for the home. It also has a handbag and clothing selection. We'll worth a visit with ample free parking.
From street level this looks like a shop with a deli bar. But upstairs is a surprisingly old school dark wood dining room.
First, we came on a weekday lunch and I think they'd benefit by having a specific lunch menu. They don't, so we were left with the general a la carte.
It's not the cheapest, but they do go for the quality fresh homemade pasta angle (no pizza here!). The seafood is good too.
The staff are Italian, you get "prego" on delivery of your items and the food is good. The food wipes the floor with Delrios for instance, which seems to be the central York Italian with the best online ratings.
Enjoyed the meal, though the coffee was a bit disappointing.
We visited here this evening has we are away for the Easter Weekend & decided to book a table for Good Friday. The staff were amazing, was a busy day & they were all happy & smiling. Our server Nikki was absolutely fantastic. Our food was so lovely the Large Haddock was very Large, the chips were cooked to perfection & the homemade curry sauce was outstanding
It was recommended and it was ace! The best french onion soup I've had and the pan fried duck with cherry sauce was delicious. My partner had the tiger prawns which come shelled and salmon which came in a ratatouille. Very efficient service and friendly staff.
