A fantastic first visit to Halifax and to The Piece Hall. An excellent historical place to visit.

The rop floor now has much better shops. We were impressed and enjoyed it.

Visited for the first time in 35 years. It appears that a lot of money has been spent on it. Very impressive. However we also visited the old indoor market. This is a fascinating building that's still in use for its proper purpose.

Amazing historic monument that no one seems to know about! Fantastic local shops and restaurants are housed within the quad. Also hosts live music from some of the biggest names in the industry.

Beautiful place, easy to find and close to car parks. The venue is full of a plethora of shops that are quirky and interesting in their own right. The place is accessible with lifts, toilets on every floor and a first aid room. Spread through is little pieces of its history which is also really interesting and cool to see.

Interesting walking around the many individual shops at the Piece Hall. Great parking nearby.

Diana's work is amazing! She knows what treatment to offer to look better. I came for eyebrow waxing, but I chose additional tint. Very affordable prices. I definitely will come for other treatments. Thanks Diana

Outstanding historical building, various cafes and bars, with some various shops

When went on a Saturday night a few bars were open obviously being March others were closed. Very nice just to wander round back again in the summer for concerts so looking forward to going again

Attended the CalderLand performance and it was amazing. Lovely venue for outdoor events with bars, ice cream shop , sweet shop and quirky independent shops.

Impressive building with lots of history,

Great location, some amazing shops, lots of culture.

Beautifully renovated in keeping with its history. Lots of different shops with some educational and historic rooms on display.

I would give it 5 stars apart from the ridiculous restrictions now put on entry times to the concerts. Total greed by the council/promotors means people have to be in no later than 8 o'clock even though the main band may not appear until 9:30, just to get more money over the bar at ludicrous prices. Pinching money from the town. DON'T BUY ANYTHING AT THE CONCERTS until it's changed.

Spacious area with lots of bars to grab a drink, area changes due to seasons/events for example Christmas markets or gigs for a variety of music

Beautiful architecture and a real gem. However, I was expecting lots of little artisan shops... No it was mainly bars and coffee shops. Such a shame as it could draw in a variety of shoppers to the town.

Love it here! What a fantastic, vibrant place! You could literally be abroad soaking up the atmosphere! Been here many times and never tire of it! I'd really love to experience a concert here too! Balcony view!

My wife worked in Halifax many years ago when the Piece Hall was in ruins. First visit since restoration. It is stunning. Lots of shops and eateries. Excellent event venue. Well worth a visit.

A unique historic building, beautifully repurposed for small retail units, cafes, coffee shops, and as a live music venue for top acts.

Such a fun place to go shopping. Lord of cute ships and some antique stores for interesting thrift finds

We must go to the Piece Hall every weekend- especially in good weather. There's room for the little one to run around and so many lovely bars and eateries on the bottom floor. Always have great events on. It's just such a lovely place to go to. Very lucky to live so close

Christmas Market was wet but good

Great for bespoke gifts, coffee and eating. There’s only one thing missing a restaurant that used to be there called ‘Elder’ this was a great place to eat and really missed.

Piece Hall is an amazing place to visit there is so much history. There are so many shops, something for everyone.

Visited the Christmas markets in December with close friends. Not much for the kids, a couple of rides. The stalls were mostly like a makers' market with locally made food or crafts in the central square. The upper boutique shops were varied, including Christmas decorations, books, toys, and jewellery. The atmosphere was great. Accessibility in the Square was great. There were steps and ramps. However, when we visited, the lifts were out of service, so access to the upper tiers would be impossible for wheelchair users, plus the walkways of the listed building are narrow but accessible. Had a great visit overall. 4 stars because of the broken lift at a busy time of year.

Despite the wind and rain we went to the Christmas markets. The shops were lovely and it was busy but it was well worth a visit. Some incredible independent shops and some local traders in the stalls in the square. Well worth a visit for the markets or any other time.

Went for the Christmas Market, a great venue , parking was easy in Eureka, lots of choice, plenty of toilets that were clean, will look out for more events there in the future

Wow what an absolute stunning beautiful building & courtyard. Could sit here all day soaking up the history of Halifax.

Visually, the Piece Hall venue looks amazing, especially after dark. It's essentially a large courtyard surrounded by sandstone Georgian warehouses. Beautifully lit, it's open air, so sound quality will vary depending on conditions. AIR sounded pretty good and the gig looked stunning. All the staff were super-helpful and friendly. Halifax is a lovely town, btw, and everyone seemed friendly to talk to. If I had a quibble...I'm not convinced the balcony tickets we had were worth the extra cost. Yeah, you'd stay dry if it was raining, but the balcony is just a fairly narrow corridor overlooking the square and quite far back from the stage with no seating. If you go to the bar or toilet, chances are someone will have nicked your spot by the time you get back Also, £16 for a pint and a vodka and coke from plastic glasses is a bit of a liberty. Toilet provision is very limited for balcony users. There are 4 or 5 individual toilets that were unisex as far as I could tell, and there was a queue at the end. Apart from that, I think this is a great venue and lovely to visit during the day. Really nice shops and good food.

It was nice place to visit apart from all the steps to actually get into the Piece Hall and its impossible to cross the road near the Piece Hall

A Cracking Day Out at Piece Hall We headed to Piece Hall for the first time this Christmas and had a right good time. The place was decked out and looked absolutely stunning. We tucked into a lovely lunch and wandered around the market stalls, picking up a few bits and bobs. We couldn't resist trying the churros - they were delish! Piece Hall is a brilliant place to spend a day out. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely little quirky shops well worth the visit

Went to Xmas markets at Piece Hall - lovely set up, nice stalls. Biggest problem was not enough toilet facilities - queues were massive at each toilet - need more for the amount of footfall. That's the reason for three stars and don't particularly think I'd return to Xmas markets.

Nice venue and location, unfortunately was disappointed with the Christmas market. Piece Hall is surrounded with a good variety of business and is well worth a visit if in or around Halifax

All ready for Xmas, worth a visit

I haven't been since it was done up and my husband has never been! Was pleasantly surprised how nice it was and spent a good hour browsing the little shops, that have something different to the normal. The cafe bars were fairly full and the food smelt delicious. We declined eating or drinking there but I'm sure we'll be back. Not as many cafe bars as before which was disappointing! The market was pretty and nicely done up.

Went for the Christmas market, couple of things for little ones to do, general Christmas market goodies to shop, pricey food and drink. The venue itself is fantastic, clean and a great piece of history

Overcrowded come when there is not an event

This is my favourite place winter or summer. So many nice shops, bars, eateries to choose from.
