We are always wary of believing Internet reviews but in this case the high stars are completely deserved. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the pub has a charming quiet, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We both tried the steak & guiness pie from the Chippy Tea Friday menu which at only £10 each was extraordinary good value being not only very tasty indeed but also a portion size that we haven't experienced for a good many years. The steak was extremely tender and so tasty, and the home made chips were certainly a cut above the frozen oven style so commonplace elsewhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will certainly be visiting again and have no hesitation recommending the pub to others who enjoy good value tasty English pub style food served with a smile.
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Great food, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere.
Can't ask for much more really. Although it's about 40 miles from us it was well worth the visit
We had a lovely lunch at Berry's as always. Welsh rarebit and quiche which were beautifully made. And who can resist the cake - I can never go past their coffee and walnut and had to take some flapjacks home for later! The staff are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate us and our double pushchair. I recommend Berry's to everyone coming to Church Stretton for a day out and they always have a great time.
This restaurant was not called what we expected. There was no shop front with Momo no ki on the sign. On the street was a pub/bar and its only from this site we asked about the noodle bar. The building was lovely, very old and characterful.
We were sent upstairs and told there are two menus. Confusing if you walk in off the street and no menu online anywhere.
However we both ordered ramen from the short menu given to us. It was hot, tasty and plentiful. No space for pudding either. Just needs more signage and publicity!
Absolutely superb. The best meal I've had in ages and the service was friendly, speedy and efficient. We came here a few years ago & wondered if it would be as good but if anything it was even better. Would highly recommend.
Anbefaler
I want to leave a Review as soon as possible after our lovely first time at The Windmill Inn yesterday… it was a celebratory meal for my Birthday! My husband Martin and daughter Laura and her husband Rich and our grand-daughter Freya had the most wonderful meal… from being warmly welcomed to very attentive yet subtle service by all the lovely people at The Windmill Inn – we could not fault it… four year old Freya was presented with an amazing activity pack and well my daughter and her husband said it was the best they have ever seen of all the places they had ever been to eat with Freya… which is saying something! The food was delicious – really was home-cooked hearty food. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and at this time of the year the lovely log fire. I would highly recommend this really beautiful Inn and we shall be back and especially to investigate the garden which we know has the most amazing views. The Windmill Inn is so well placed on the main road to mid-Wales on the west side of Shrewsbury and I think would make a wonderful stop for a refreshing break if travelling to the coast or anywhere! Just a thought! Definitely a ‘destination venue’… do stop if you are passing or make a plan to visit.
