Absolutely amazing food. One of the most amazing restaurants in Shrews, they responded very quickly and I love when they kept checking if we need a water refill for our jasmine tea. Highly recommend the cow boy maki and the gyu don. Will come back every month!!
Absolutely a little gem of a restaurant. I came with a good and everyone's meal was delightful. Generous portions and food was so tasty. The chicken and halloumi burger was the best burger ever. Highly recommend a visit.
Another wonderful meal at Bistro 7 and so sad it was on the closing night. We've enjoyed so many fantastic meals here over the years. Ludlow has lost one of its best restaurants.
A great little find in Shrewsbury. We were looking for a quick bite to eat mid afternoon and peaberry's was one of the few places still serving food after 3pm, that wasn't a major chain.
The service was great, friendly and welcoming.
The food was reasonably priced & portions a good size.
We will go back next time we're in Shrewsbury.

This was our second time visiting The Summerhouse. Food was so good the first time, we decided to give the Sunday carvery a go. All I can say is wow wow wow. 4 meats to choose from and the vegetable selection was excellent. Toby carvery, you should try this place and maybe get a few ideas of how a carvery should be served. Staff friendly and accomodating as well. Thank you

Great Italian restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. The pizzas were huge and the desserts were to die for !! We will definitely be returning 😊 I’m sure some people would argue that it’s a bit pricey but to us it was worth every penny.
This is the 1st time we have eaten at the Wheel of Worfield however, it won't be the last.
Popped in on the off chance whilst passing that they might have a spare table for two about 12 o'clock on a Sunday.
Went to reception, where we were met by two friendly members of staff. They showed us to a table and requested that they require the table by 2 pm as it was 12 o'clock and we hadn't booked absolutely plenty of time.
We both ordered the top side of beef Sunday roast. I had the large £16 and my wife had the smaller plate for £10. To be honest, the smaller plate would have done me as well.
The roast came with, carrot and swede mash on the bottom the beef on top and a large Yorkshire pudding on top of that. Broccoli, red and green cabbage and roast potatoes. All cooked to perfection. The staff asked if everything was ok during the meal which is nice. Although I was full after my meal I still managed pudding. Apricot Bakewell tart with ice cream and mixed berries crumble with ice cream. Very yummy. Everything was very nicely presented, the staff were attentive and friendly. Can't knock our visit at all, hence the 5 Starts.
By the time we left the place was full and no surprise really.
Thank you for a pleasant dining experience.
Went for Sunday dinner and we found the portion sizes were lacking it's like the owner/chef think they are Michelin star establishment. My mixed roast beef was nearly £25 and you had next to no veg and only 3 roast potatoes it was more like a child's portion. My partner has had weight loss and even she managed to finish it when she is limited to what she can eat portion wise. They showed us the dessert menu and let me tell you we weren't giving them the time or day at the £9 plus price bracket and inadequate choices. We decided as a group to go to a dessert shop afterwards then give them more of our money and we left still being HUNGRY. Don't recommend this to anyone. If you are going to charge these prices make sure you make the portions/quality match and they certainly didn't.
Great pub with a wonderful welcome. Nothing's too much and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
Perfect stopping point for a light lunch or a full on evening meal.
We’ve been recommended for some time by quite a few people to try the Old Castle but never quite made it until today.
On a grey, rainy cold day we went in without a booking, but were greeted in a friendly manner immediately, and shown to a lovely table at the back. The pub is like a Tardis, looks small from the outside but goes on and on inside.
Fabulous service, friendly, efficient, and helpful making choices and recommendations.
And then came the food… probably the best steak pie I’ve ever had. Choc full of lean chunks of steak, a rich gravy, plentiful chips and some very good mixed vegetables.
My husband had lambs liver, beautifully cooked, served with a soft buttery mash, with bacon and onions- super generous portions too
It was beyond delicious.
There was no room for dessert! I’m surprised anyone has room for dessert!
Our only gripe was that we hadn’t been there sooner- we can’t wait to try the Sunday lunch, to go in the evening, and definitely to go in summer
Can’t recommend highly enough
In the area for the weekend at an Air B&B, not far away from this restaurant. Busy, but they fitted us in. Booked online no issues, table for 2. Seating wasn't great but we managed at a very busy time for them. Big birthday party on, but we still felt valued customers. Food was excellent. I had the sea bass starter, it was cooked to perfection and tasted out of this world. Portion sizes were great, I'm a big eater and didn't manage to eat it all. We had the set menu for £18.99, well worth it. Staff were great not over powering, there when we needed anything. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.
A full English breakfast was what was called for on one of the worst days and that is what we ordered. It was delicious, filling tasty and one of the best breakfasts I have had away from home. The service was excellent . We had been recommended this place for quality and for value and it lived up to expectations
