Fantastic Staff , they work really hard . Me and my partner visited Shrewsbury and accidentally found this place .Food was great and service was great too . Food is well priced .

What fresh delicious food We came from a cafe close by where we really did not fancy the food, found this on the way out and we are glad we did, a fraction of the price and the food just felt better quality! Delicious, thank you

Had the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce was merely a garnish. Would have been significantly cheaper to get toast, eggs, and bacon all as sides instead of paying an extra £4 for a garnish portion of sauce. Won't be back.

Never been to Shrewsbury before and we came here for breakfast. Wow they’ve got it spot on. Food is fantastic, clean and tidy and great atmosphere. Priced very well considering the food that is served to you. If your ever in town definitely pop in if your hungry

Visited today whilst roaming around shrewsbury looking for some dog friendly places for lunch. Made to feel very welcome and the staff were friendly and super attentive and even bought out a bowl of water for my dog, thank you! Felt cozy inside and sat right by the window, perfect people watching spot! Ordered "the espanol" and oh my goodness it didn't disappoint. Very large portion and super flavourful. Was quiet when I visited, food was out within 10 minutes. Didn't get chance to try drinks/any dessert as was in a rush to grab my train but will deffo be returning the next time in shrewsbury and recommend to friends and family. Thank you!

This could easily be a four star review as there is a great menu, the service is very good and the atmosphere is quite relaxing with just the right volume of music in the background. The produce used seems good too, but it just lacked something. The brunch choice I had was Gypsy Toast, basically an eggy bread dish with bacon, avocado and tomatoes. There was plenty of food, so good value but the meal was quite hard work because of how they had stacked the food. One bit of bread had the bacon and the other the avocado and tomatoes. And the bread unfortunately was very dry - not enough eggy mixture on it for sure. If it were me, I would have layered the avocado and tomatoes across both pieces of bread and then scattered bacon lardons across both. Then add a drizzle of very good virgin oil. I have been here several times and I do think it is a good cafe, it just needs a bit of thought about its presentation of food.

We ate breakfast here whilst staying in Shrewsbury. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff. Good selection of breakfasts, all at reasonable prices! Dog friendly too😊

Visited here after their recent revamp, which I thought was very good. Very happy to see they kept the large map on the wall! All looked very clean and bright. They continue with their old menu which is comprehensive. Service was pleasant as I say, order taken quickly. Whilst the food was cooked to order a number of the items on my plate became cold very quickly, as the plate was not warm enough, My wife’s was even colder than mine, a real shame, hopefully this can be taken on aboard. It may also be due to a cold kitchen, as that day was a cold one.

This place is lovely, friendly staff and vibe. Lovely music. I had the 'Prince of Persia' beef kofte and falafel flatbread. And a baklava and ice cream

Food was nice , however not enough on the plate which left room for disappointment. service was fairly mediocre.

On a day trip from Gloucester I came in and had a late breakfast and coffee which i enjoyed very much and found the service very good as well

Booked a table for six people for brunch via telephone. Arrived to restaurant to find it closed and in the midst of a comprehensive refurbishment. No telephone call to advise and apologise, NOTHING! So cannot recommend based on food but can say they don’t deserve any business based on the fact that they didn’t value our custom enough (at all) to give us a courtesy phone call. Shame on you - I hope all of the other local brunch restaurants thrive instead.

Our friends and us had a lovely meal, the service was super and nothing was too much trouble. They explained the menus and made sure everything was clear. The food was delicious and made a nice change to the normal fare we often get. There were no complaints and the bill was reasonable.

I went here with my newborn, husband and 2 year old on a Sunday morning. The choice of food for brunch is excellent ranging from traditional breakfast, pancakes to brunch dishes with a twist such including tex mex and spanish. I went for the tex mex, my husband had the espanol sough dough, and my little boy had the kids pancakes. All dishes were a big hit - all very reasonably priced. We will be back. Thank you!

I try to avoid writing negative reviews, as I understand that they can have an impact on a business. However, if people don't write honest and objective reviews, then businesses don't learn or find out what customers actually think of their dining experience. We went for brunch on a Saturday lunchtime, and one naturally assumes a busy restaurant is a good sign; sadly this was not the case for us. We ordered our food within ten minutes of arriving and naturally assumed our food would come within a normal timescale, which to me is about twenty minutes. Unfortunately our food never arrived after waiting almost an hour, which is pathetic service and a guarantee that I will never be returning to this establishment ever again. What I also found insulting is that whenever we asked when the food would arrive, we were told 'just another few minutes', which was a lie, as they were obviously acutely aware this wasn't going to happen. I would suggest getting a more organised kitchen or a more basic menu, because right now the place is a complete shambles and we won't be back..

First time visiting and we was not disappointed. Very nice breakfasts and drinks staff was very good and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit already.

A bit disappointing to be honest, considering the quality of the food. We were promptly seated and were able to order drinks which were fine. About 5-10 minutes later we ordered our food (an Eggs Royal and an Avocado and Feta Cheese eggs) And then the wait began… About 30 minutes later we then asked a staff member for an update on our order to be unhelpfully told that they didn’t have any record of our order, meaning the girl who had taken our order hadn’t bothered to put our order through! And the wait continued… After lots of chaotic dashing about and concerned looks from other staff members, our food finally arrived (now 40 minutes late). And this was what saved our experience at Peaberry’s in Shrewsbury, it was delicious! The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and they ensured the chilli flakes had been removed from my girlfriend’s Avocado and Feta Cheese eggs. The hash browns we also ordered were well cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed our food, promptly paid and left. Altogether won’t be rushing back, while the food is excellent and recommended, the service is poor and in need of serious change. We noticed a French couple who were sat next to us who were asked for their order about a MINUTE after they had been seated which was again very poor service. In order to improve, Peaberry’s need to make changes to their serving staff and ensure better training standards are upheld otherwise the reputation of this place will continue to suffer as I’ve seen with other recent reviews on this place.

Had brunch at Peaberry with my partner yesterday and really enjoyed it! We both got skinny lattes, and they were spot on – smooth and just right. I ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough and asked for extra eggs. I got way more than expected, which was perfect because I was starving! Great spot, generous portions, and good coffee. We’ll definitely be back.

We don't often eat out for breakfast but today we happened to be in town at breakfast time. The eggs benedict and the pancakes with maple syrup got the day off to a good start

Always very good. If we stay in Shrewsbury we always come here for breakfast. A slight change from the ordinary full English. Very good, highly recommended.

Food didn't arrive after ~30 minutes so we asked where it was and it arrived a few minutes later - they'd obviously forgotten us. The waitress was also not the most attentive and asked if we'd decided on food/drink literally 10 seconds after sitting down. The saving grace was that they offered us free dessert to compensate, which was a nice gesture but didn't make up for the time wasted waiting.

Have to pay extra for a side of beans with the full English breaky. Every other place I’ve gone to baked beans have come as standard

I feel bad writing a not so positive review when I look at the others but for me this place missed the mark. We ordered burgers and mine was vegetarian falafel with avocado etc but the flavours clashed and it was very dry despite the promised mayos and cheese; it just wasn’t a good burger… The baileys hot chocolate was nice enough. My hubby had a normal burger and said it was fine. There was a good mound of chips but they had a strong oil taste to them. The Buddha bowls and flatbreads looked good but I wouldn’t go here for a vegetarian or for the vegan options due to the lack of choice. Pretty enough cafe but the toilets were grubby with a panel missing in the roof - just not very nice. I can’t comment on the staff as interactions were minimal but they were pleasant enough. Good enough access for disabled at the front of the cafe which is always a plus and if you’re a meat eater I think you would enjoy it.

Awesome breakfasts, flat white coffee is to die for ... and cakes, highly recommended

Great place to have an all day breakfast. Seeing they do avocado on toast with feta cheese is what stopped me in my tracks. I could not resist to adding to the dish some smoked salmon. It tasted great and coupled with the cappuccino it was an outstanding way of recharging my batteries before going on my way and exploring the town.

Lovely atmosphere, feels like the best place to relax, have a drink and enjoy some food. The music on is great and the service is very amicable. The lady who served us was very sweet and offered me help when I was in need.

We dropped into this place on a whim and it didn’t disappoint! Staff were friendly. The food was amazing, ordered and was on our table in less than 10 minutes! The club sandwich was the star of the show! I’ve never had a sandwich like it. It was AMAZING. Will be coming back again in a heartbeat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The food was tasty and whilst a little slow it was well worth wait. The coffee was excellent as were the tasty cakes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this café.

Stopped for coffee mid morning today, soooo tempted by the delicious cakes, my hubby spotted the Baklava on the counter! It had to be done...DELICIOUS !!! Not overly sweet like some we have tried. Fabulous coffee too. Next time we're in Shrewsbury we'll be back to try those Flatbreads 😘😘 Wonderful service by a lovely guy was the icing on the cake.

Came into Shrewsbury for the morning and looked on trip advisor for good breakfasts, chose peaberry as I liked the sound of the espanol breakfast! We arrived just before 10 and it was fairly busy but still seats available, we were seated straight away. I chose a fresh orange juice which did taste so fresh, it was lovely and my boyfriend had a cappuccino and an orange juice. For breakfast I did have the Espanol which was delicious, highly recommend. My boyfriend had the all American which he thoroughly enjoyed. Felt very close to the table next to us but that’s how most places seat tables of two! Would visit again when next in the area 👍🏼 thanks!

Brought my mum for an early Mother's Day lunch. I had booked but the gave away my table to someone else so we did have to wait a while. They were very busy and the service was on the chaotic side, though the staff were very apologetic. The food came and it was lovely - the poached eggs were done to perfection! We were near the kitchen so could see all the different dishes and they all looked fantastic so I will be going back

Menu sounds good but my ‘Tex Mex’ brunch was disappointing. Solid poached eggs and very small portions of the other parts of the dish (avocado, halloumi etc). Nothing at all was Tex Mex about it. I ate it hoping it tasted better than it looked but unfortunately it didn’t. Manager was disinterested at best in my feedback, saying that people often like their poached eggs ‘well done’ and I should’ve sent it back. I wish I had. My husband’s meal was better - maybe I just chose poorly. But I wouldn’t go back, just based on the attitude and reaction of the manager.

The pleasure of this place has gone down hill dramatically. My breakfast today was returned to the kitchen twice and bowl of beans 3 times as everything was cold . Each time returned still cold . Waiting on staff seemed exasperated with requests for a hot meal . The initial wait from order was 30 mins people arriving after us getting served before us, Seems that it is quantity over quality now, Staff acknowledged that this had been a poor experience when I refused to pay for my food , it was not even questioned. More tables have been squeezed in and this does not add to a positive experience. We have have been regularly customers for Last few years but unfortunately this was our last visit . Really sad 😞

Terrible experience unfortunately. Drinks ordered before breakfast arrived wrong, the server was apologetic and immediately offered to replace, which was not a problem however the new drinks didn't arrive until after we all finished our food and were waiting to leave. I had asked and reminded the team a couple of times prior and was told they were coming and when I eventually asked to just cancel these drinks as I wanted to leave, I was told they were ready, (they weren't) and so they were put into a to go cup instead but I just left the drink behind as we were given the wrong drinks order AGAIN. They have squeezed far too many tables tightly packed into this space so you can barely move. You are trapped or constantly bumping the other tables as you try and squeeze through with your backside in someone's face and food. It's very uncomfortable and the staff are clearly overwhelmed with trying to manage the sheer volume of people rammed in. One couple who were shown to their table actually left immediately when they saw how cramped it was, even though they arrived to dine with friends. The food was ok, the sausage patty was tasty but the hectic atmosphere and service was not something I will ever return for. Big disappointment after reading postive reviews and bringing visiting family for a Sunday breakfast.

To me, the customer service and food is excellent..I had a warm chicken salad, which was plentiful, tasty and sensibly priced. From the minute you step through the door, to the moment you leave, no matter how busy they are, the staff are friendly and make you feel special. Your business is clearly appreciated and when there are so many choices in the town, I think they've got it right.

Dog friendly lovely bar/cafe serving a wide range of lovely food and cakes. The young man that served us was very diligent while being unobtrusive.

This is our favourite and only place in Shrewsbury that my husband and I go to, for breakfast for over a year! Breakfast/Brunch, always superb, fresh, and tastes lovely. Staff super friendly and excellent service.

This cafe is a real find. I thoroughly recommend it. The decaffeinated Americanos we had with hot milk were delicious. The cakes looked good, but we resisted this time. The staff were excellent.

We popped in on a busy rainy Saturday afternoon. We were greeted immediately by a friendly member of staff & were seated straight away. Very efficient service, the food came quickly & we really enjoyed what we chose. I had the tuna melt & it was absolutely delicious. Lots of choice on the menu. Would definitely return.

Popped into this wonderful café/bar for coffee and cake this afternoon on our day out to Shrewsbury and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we stepped in, to the moment we left, the service was impeccable. My partner was even treated to a "guide tour" of the cake display by one of the waiters while she was studying it! We finally decided on chocolate orange cake (for her) and baklava (for me). Wow! Fantastic cake and fantastic coffee! My only regret is that we’d had lunch earlier, as we would very much like to have eaten it here. Having said that, it just gives us an excuse to come back. I know we were only there for a brief time but we were made to feel so welcome, it made it such a lovely experience. I wish more eateries and coffee bars made it this friendly. We absolutely loved our "lucky find" of Peaberry and would highly recommend you pay them a visit. We’ll definitely be returning! Thanks guys! Dean & Bri

Sadly this venue has changed the seating layout which now resembles a cafeteria rather than the cultured European vibe it used to portray. With so many tables squeezed in together the noise levels were unpleasantly loud. Service etiquette has also changed with empty plates being removed from tables before all parties had finished their meals. Making customers feel rushed. The food was still of good quality.

Great place, excellent food, and first-class service. The Downside is that it's very cold as the main door is left open and the cold wind blows in 🙄🙄🙄

I wanted to love this place & the service was very good, but the food & menu really lacked. If you’re going to do something…do the absolute best & this place could use a kick-in-the-pants where the food is concerned.

I believe in every adventure brings out greatness, this place succeeded. Perfect end of summer bike ride in just a shirt. The coffee is fantastic, the 3 cups, wow. We both had a main with a desert to share with two forks. Shrewsbury is a lovely town, lots of history with its 'shut's', English Bridge and so forth. Came back for a December visit, time we had the pre xmas menu. Fantastic!. Another trip here. Another one with mate. Tokyo drift, flat bread.

Popped in here for a lunch and really liked the choice on the menu of all day breakfasts, world styled flatbread and other offerings too. Clean and bright interior and tasteful background music made it a restful place to eat. Dog friendly too!

Fantastic spot for a work lunch. I was greeted warmly by the staff at the counter and explained that I was on a tight schedule. They catered to my needs incredibly well. Some quick bites were recommended and a fantastic coffee to wash it all...

Had a lovely sourdough butty here, great service, excellent food, had asked for crispy bacon and that is what I received! Many places fail, well done everyone.

Went for lunch with the in-laws today. Staff were so welcoming, attentive and just lovely! Food was fabulous (sour dough toast was a little too crunchy, but that's sour dough bread for you!) My husband said it was probably the best all day breakfast he has ever had, good quality ingredients, really good thick bacon but cooked so well and the rind was perfectly rendered. I don't know how your chef can possibly make so many perfectly poached eggs, so well, so quickly! The restaurant is immaculately clean and the atmosphere was "Grand". Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Dropped from 5 stars to 3 today tried a mocha frappe, worst I have ever had, flat cool not iced flavoured milk, shame as the capucino is exceptionally good, and the cake previously delicious was dry and a little hard. Hopefully a bad day. Left and went to Cafe Nero for a delicious frappe.

I popped out for lunch with two adult monsters, one having DS. Our service was exceptional and the food was yummy. I had eggs Benedict, my son being that awkward eater had cheese burger and chips, my daughter a pistachio cake. All the food was amazing. Make sure you take some cash for a tip, I had forgotten mine😞 Anazibg service with Amazing people. Thank you for cheering me up x

Years ago the foods used to be lovely but now it has changed maybe new chef. I had grilled chicken with bacon gluten free sandwich club, asked swap to feta cheese instead of melted cheddar cheese but still charged for feta cheese! Also few months ago I had vegetarian breakfast - halloumi cheese it was over cooked, avocado were bit brown , poached eggs were uncooked.

Did not have to ask for water for the dog, just brought one out. Food was amazing.

Been here a while ago and the food was excellent. Came for brunch on Sunday with family and it was a little disappointing. Not sure if the chef has changed ….. poached eggs were over cooked and the tomato was hardly cooked. Oat milk latte...

I had the Club sourdough melt on Monday, it was nice but I couldn’t taste the cheese and thought the portion size was quite small for £8.80. No point in mentioning about the cheese as I didn’t want to wait any longer. I was looking...

Used to love this place but the last 2 times I have been the food ordered does not match what is written on the menu but they still expect you to pay the full price-not exactly fair. E.g I ordered something which has Pomegranate sauce, fresh mint, coriander on it and it came without. They said that they had run out but this has happened to me twice now. Change the menu to reflect your ingredients. It was a very boring dish without these touches
