Good service, variety of coffee and a very interesting ancient ( probably 400 years old ) building. Special interest for tourists.

I was travelling early in the morning having ridden from holyhead on my motorbike, was getting cold and hungry when this place came into view.i ordered the full English and a mug of tea,was very pleasantly looked after, then got to sit in the sun enjoying the food which was top notch and set me up for the day. I can recommend Feltons cafe to anyone!thank you

Very disappointing dining experience. The service was slow. We waited an hour before our starter was served. The cheese soufflé tasted pleasant enough but could have had the tiniest of garnish at least. It looked plain and bland on the white plate. The meat and potatoes (pale beige) were lukewarm, the vegetables undercooked and the gravy had congealed skin on the top. The waiting staff seemed to be desperate to go home and never once approached us to ask how the meal was. We decided to forego dessert and left hungry. For an historic establishment so beautiful from the outside and an inevitable magnet for tourists, it was an embarassing example of traditional British food. The 2 stars were for the Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. Never again.

Where do I start, shocking staff attitude and ineptitude. Ordered steak (medium) came out rare with cold chips. Sent it back and came back without the sauce accompanying. My sister ordered steak which came out cold and the waitress then proceeded to test the temperature of her steak with her hand (sent back as well). Items added to the bill which didn’t come to the table. Table not cleared after eating main, no interest from the staff in taking dessert orders. Refused to pay for the meal, was offered a 20% discount but still refused to pay. No sign of a manager to complain to so email sent regarding the issues with all the staff

Came here for lunch and soft play on a rainy day and honestly wish we would fo stayed at home! Cafe is horrendous, no menus for the kids lunch boxes, the lady I asked behind the counter was really rude and did not want to help, told us it was on the menu (which I already checked but thought I was wrong) there was no menu so went back to tell her and she was so rude just shouted oh it's 5 items. We then had the hot turkey bap, partner had beef. Had to queue for this, the butter was not spread on the bap properly, the ball of stuffing was like a little rock, ordered chips that were stone cold by the time we ate. Had to carry all this on a tray with no offer of help. Cafe was dirty, chairs were sticky. Cost £40, I don't even think it was worth £20. The kids sandwiches were on stale bread. Then soft play was filthy. Will never return there, even the shop was half empty. I am very surprised they have returning customers. My advice is don't waste your time or money here.

Visited regularly for a fortnight. Much depended on the Barista on duty. On occasions the coffee was excellent but on occasions it was average and on one occasion unacceptable. Toilets were often of dubious cleanliness.Too often seats were taken by older clientele who seemed determined to make a cup last for ages so they could chat to their regular friends for an unreasonable duration.

Stayed at the Abel's Harp it's a hotel decorated shabby chic and in the country, it also has Glamping huts we found the staff Julz And Dermo fantastic that's the main reason for the five stars,we also had a beautiful steak dinner on our first night the rooms are not massive but more than adequate and are on suite,we also had fun feeding the alpacas that belong to the hotel,We found Julz does everything from 1st thing in the morning till after 10 at night don't know what she's paid but she's worth every penny as she made our stay extra special,my suggestion to the hotel is to put on a fast food menu at a reasonable price especially for the glampers then many would stay in the hotel vicinity and not drive to nearby villages for food.
