Costa Coffee in Shropshire

A good Costa. Clean store, worked for an hour or so on laptop, internet was fine. Staff were great!

Visited the store today to get two drinks to surprise my girlfriend at home. I really appreciated that they offered to double lid it, make it extra hot, and put extra ice in the cold drink. I really appreciated their kind attitude!

Very calm atmosphere, efficient friendly baristas who make very little noise whilst serving hot delicious drinks. This is the only Costa I've been in where they don't clatter and crash about

Just went in Tescos for a quiet cuppa moca

Staff very friendly and polite, always willing to help. Good coffee in nice light surroundings. One of the better costas

Very welcoming, clean friendly atmosphere. Lots of menu options. Wide range of food & drinks. I tried the chocolate ganache and Black Forest Hot Chocolate, was fantastic, definite 10 out of 10 & excellent service from the staff. Really enjoyed it. Will be back to try the other Xmas specials. Cheers

Basic Costa good coffee and sticky buns, excellent staff and service

Charged for Click & Collect drinks, went to collect and not open! Can’t seem to get in contact with Costa to get a refund. Shocking customer service.

Though busy the service was quick. Had Blackforest hot chocolate, delicious. Plus a sausage bap, also very good.

Would not reccomend as all of the staff here have an aversion to cleaning. They would rather sit in a huddle on their phones

Didn’t even get to go in! Went at 4pm today (Saturday) and employee was holding the door and mouthed that they’re closed while people still sat eating and drinking inside, and the closing time listed at 6pm. Appalled that I couldn’t even get a drink on such a humid day.

Costa website says closes at 6pm weds. Google maps says closes at 6pm but when I get there, sign says 5pm . 😕

Not one clean table despite only 7 people sitting in. Took a long time to serve. Very off putting Looks like they are very short staffed. Coffee nice and when asked they came to clean the table. Pleasant staff Costa needs to get more staff

I just wanted to have some coffee before my train comes. But the staff ignored me for dew minutes. It happened just now 4 October at 10:40

Middle of the eoad as costas always are. The staff were pleasant and the drinks overpriced as they always are. Not good not bad

As with anything, you get back what you are willing to put in. The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. Just be nice. And great coffee!

Very friendly staff and a lovely coffee,the cafe was clean and tables well spaced out.

After shopping in Tesco in Ludlow on Wed 28th August we decided to get a take away coffee from Costa the staff member behind the till ( Rachel ) has obviously missed any customer care training!! No please no thank you and even when my husband struggled to pay with a voucher on his phone gave him no help whatsoever. She even turned and started serving the next customer without us even realising we had been dismissed. Even the customer in front of us commented on her attitude....my advice to her get another job that would make you happy.

What you would expect. One of the first to open on Sunday.

Very poor service, very slow waiting first to be served, cups and trays looking filthy, and to top it up my toasted tea cake never arrived!

ordinary coffee at expensive prices - whats not to like? Its predictable. Service wasnt great either. Better cafes in ludlow.

Very quick to take the order at the counter. Abysmally slow to deliver it. 20 minute wait standing in a huddle with many others waiting for a cup of black Americano. A poor experience in terms of the time taken and having to stand in something like an overcrowded tube train waiting while fighting off queue-jumpers. No communication at all from staff. No apology. Staff unable to keep an orderly queue going. I won't be going back to Costa when there are so many alternatives. Am all round grim experience.

Three staff members congregated around the coffee machine to make my drink, yet the tables and booth seats were disgusting. I didn't want to sit down anywhere because it was dirty. With so many people to make one drink you would think they could spare a few minutes to wipe the tables. The Costa up the road is much better and with nicer staff.

When Tesco ran their own catering here, it was a regular breakfast spot for locals...particularly pensioners. It offered good value cooked breakfast etc. Since it was franchised to Costa this group have now lost out to an expensive, bland, indifferent chain .

There are 2 Costa coffees in Ludlow, this one by the Buttercross. Lovely new fit out as the old premed is were very tired. But the queue is usually too long and slow. Coffee drinkers have a good choice of other shops nearby such as Harp Lane, and Taste at No 1, all less than 1 minute walk. So guess what, that’s now where we go!

Admittedly this is Saturday morning however, 15 mins to be served a drink. Staff do not put themselves out, very poor layout means, when waiting for your drink you are very much in the way of people. The single customer toilet is at best, vile. The whole place requires a refit and staff need customer service training. My advise would be to look elsewhere.

So refreshing. Two men serving were efficient, helpful, friendly and well organised, working so well as a team. Excellent service.

Should close in 20 minutes but the man serving refused to warm a panini for our 7 year old son, he said he has turned everything off. Very disappointed with the service At Costa Tesco 😞.

Usual chain coffee house with free newspapers which they threatened to end on the 3rd of November 2017. Good coffee though.

A quite Friday afternoon and yet tables were still cluttered with dirty cups and plates and the service was somewhat indifferent.

Located adjacent to the Town's Tesco Supermarket and is much quieter that the main one in King Street. Offers all the standard Costa ranges and therefore you know what you are going to get when you order. Swift and friendly service.

Great service and friendly but not the cosiest place to have a break, great for customers of Tesco where it is located

We always enjoy Costa Coffee shops and tend to head for them when we are in a new place. this one is let down only by the toilet facilities. There is only one unisex loo - not enough for such a busy place - and it is badly situated.

El personal parecía un poco interesado pero eran dis- haciendo todo lo posible para proporcionar un servicio. Los inodoros estaban especialmente preocupante y necesita algunas aportaciones de la administración. Fuimos esperando calidad y, por desgracia, el lugar no estaba a la altura de nuestras expectativas.

Just what you would ecpect from a chain. Much nicer (and less ecpensive) independant coffee shops in Ludlow

A menudo pop aquí cuando he hecho mis compras y siempre me saludan con una sonrisa del personal. En un buen día te puedes sentar fuera que siempre está limpio y ordenado. El café es exuberante y así son todas las bebidas de fruta.

Café estaba muy bien y el servicio era muy amable, aunque un poco lento. El hombre para sentarse.y de las mesas no había sido liquidadas en un tiempo así que era difícil encontrar un lugar

Very clean and good coffee and hot chocolate,stools very high and all other seats were taken by one person on each table reading their kindles,so we had to sit on these high stools.Toilets were dirty which for a large coffee shop is a pity,they need a separate toilet for men and women.We would use again

Stopped for a coffee and snack on Friday 23rd October, the shop was very busy but with four staff on hand we got served really quickly, coffee and snack was as usual, very nice!

This Costa, in my view, is far superior to the one in King Street, Ludlow. The staff are lovely and friendly, coffee is always hot and served with a smile; food is tasty and fresh but the best thing, for me, is how friendly everyone is and it has a really nice relaxed atmosphere. A nice place to visit.

I am a very regular customer at this pleasant cafe next to the Tesco store in Corve Street Ludlow. Welcoming and friendly staff serve a selection of cakes, sandwiches etc. When the weather is kind there are plenty of outdoor tables and seats

All was bright andcheerful but I cannot drink coffee, very reasonable in price too The seating arrangements are very good too

You visit a wonderful historical town such as Ludlow, the food capital of the Midlands with its local restaurants and coffee/tea shops, why oh why would you visit Costa Coffee where you could be anywhere in the country, nice coffee but a run of the mill experience. There are a handful of more interesting places to try in Ludlow so get out of your comfort zone and pay them a visit. i can think of three places where you would have a better experience, the Chicetti on Broad St, Harp Deli on the square and Ego's in Quality Square, there are others too. Costa's coffee is good as are the almond and raspberry slices BUT it is an expensive and clinical experience wherever you go ! Come on try something else.

A ham and cheese toasted sandwich consisted of one very thin slice of ham (and I mean thin!) with one very thin slice of cheese. The last time I had anything resembling this rip off sandwich was at a British Rail cafe. It really was the worst value ever and I even had to clear and clean my own table to sit at. Looking round it was very scruffy with a dirty tiny wash up area full of dirty dishes/trays and full overflowing rubbish bin.The overflowing rubbish bin must be a trade mark as it seems to be in every Costa I have ever been to. Where do they get their awful cups from, apart from weighing so much you need two hands to lift them, they are so thick it reminds me of a poor cafe. Very poor value with not very good service.
