The best restaurants in Herefordshire, County of West Midlands

Found Rocket down little Hereford back street. Went in and found a seat. Ordered two Goats Cheese, pesto and cranberry flat bread wraps. My wife went to the toilet - not good - clearly hardly ever cleaned - dirty, dusty, toilet seat broken !! If we had gone in there before ordering we would not have eaten there…..always tell a place by its toilets. Throughout our time eating there was, on a table right near us, a young boy (clearly related to one of the staff) he was eating a McDonalds and for the whole 30 minutes was watching videos on a phone at high volume !! Others came in and were clearly bothered by it. Shame - the food was pretty good. Staff not friendly.

We were met with awfully slow service. Half an hour to order our food then over an hour for our food to come. When the food came it looked incredible however it’s a shame it didn’t taste that way. Burger was very over cooked. We expected better

Fortunately we had phoned earlier and booked a table, as the place was packed when we arrived. Obviously extremely popular. Poached eggs with smoked salmon on "Ledbury bread" was excellent, perfectly cooked eggs. Service a little slow (not surprising, considering the busyness all round) but a very good meal. Our third visit, and they have all been good.

We booked The Inn for 2 nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. We arrived in the evening, Darren took our luggage and showed us our room (room 2). It is a very beautiful and old building. Our room had all the wooden beams exposed which gave the room a cosy feel. We were too late for food, but the Indian across the road was recommended to us. The bar downstairs was also lovely. Full of welcoming locals and Darren sorted us out when we asked to watch F1. The bar prices are extremely reasonable too. Breakfast was simple, but delicious. The only downside is that this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There are no nearby taxi companies, public transport is not an option either. There is a man called Ray who has a taxi, but it depends if he is available or not. We had to rely on other guests to take us to and from the wedding and to get to and from the hotel from Birmingham Airport was very expensive with Uber. But if you are looking for a simple and rustic place to stay, this is it!

Went for family lunch Great food chicken special ,mixed grill ,small fish and chips (small it was huge !) I had pork belly absolutely fantastic with Apple mash Fantastic,huge portions ,Highly recommend we will be back in January,a big Thank You to lovely staff helpful and friendly well worth the drive from Gloucester 👏👏

Superb food and service with a great choice. This is now called The Maidenhead so a bit confusing finding it on this site!!!

Every trip to Ledbury deserves at least a couple of pints in here

Charming tea room with friendly staff, delicious breakfast, great coffee and loved the decor, especially the fun crockery and fairy lights. I had the purple toast which was delicious and well presented. Will definitely come again

Ordered a delivery. Would have given 5 stars if it hadn't taken 90 minutes to arrive (when they said it would take 30) and would have given 1 star if the food hadn't been so delicious. The annoyance at having to wait so long washed away as we tucked in to the delicious curries. Hopefully won't take as long next time.

Stopped by yesterday for lunch with the family and as always a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was prompt to arrive despite being busy and was very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend

This was our second visit to the Baiting house and again, it was completely faultless. The food is exquisite, the quality and standard is unbeatable and I can't get over the price of it - I honestly don't know where else you would get to eat such amazing food for such a reasonable price. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming, they really do make the experience very special. I can't wait to visit again!

My wife and I travelled from Ledbury purely to sample the Fish and Chips, we were not disappointed, they were superb. It is plain to see how they win awards, all cooked with love and care. Will we be back - you can bet your life on it!

Such terrific service and food. A really welcoming environment with a smile when we arrived. Good vegetarian food at a reasonable price. Thank you all.
