Me and 2 of my brothers, went there, on a Saturday afternoon, while the market was on. They had ran out of the pork loin, so me and one brother opted for the homemade beef pie, with carrots, peas,New potatoes and gravy,my other brother opted for the not so small breakfast. There was about 20 minutes wait,as it's cooked as ordered, but it was well worth it! The food came out, piping hot, the pie filling was in abundance, plenty of carrots, peas and lots of gravy. It's a good job that it was piping hot, because, by the time that I finished the meal, it was still warm. Highly recommended, plus the place is very clean, the staff are very friendly and there are toilet facilities, and also a ground floor cafe, aswel.

We stop here a lot as it's the best food, value, service, anywhere. Often have the soup but torn between that and jacket potatoes. Really don't know how they do this quality for such reasonable prices too. LOVE the soup but fancied jacket potatoes. Flavour, huge portions and warm and friendly staff. Must try other food as all looks incredible. LOVE the banoffee pie and all the cheesecakes. Had a rushed stop a few weeks ago and had a bacon roll. How many pieces of bacon went in there?!! 10 stars, not 5. See you soon, thank you!

I was looking for somewhere to have lunch in Leominster and heard a group of ladies leaving the Flying Dutchman how good the was - as was there usual experience. I decided to pop upstairs and have a look. It looked clean, well laid out and the menu looked very promising. The food being served was a great advert. I had a homemade quiche and salad that was absolutely delicious. Will I return? Absolutely. Many thanks to the lovely, helpful and friendly staff.

The two of us stopped by for a bit of breakfast, had intended to order some pancakes but got into a conversation at the counter and found out that they're all brought from the supermarket, no cooking involved. And I'm not paying the best part of £10 for shop brought pancakes with a bit of fruit thrown on, what am I paying you for there? So we decided to go traditional. Usual English breakfast but with far too much grease, oil dripping off of everything. Mine was especially swimming as the butter portion for my toast had already melted all over the plate, but it was edible and I've had worse. Just a shame as apparently this used to be the place to go for breakfast in this town.

I called in at The Flying Dutchman quite by chance whilst on holiday in the area. I enjoyed a lovely lunch of a piping hot jacket potato, large portions of grated cheese and coleslaw, a crispy fresh side salad with a nice dressing, all for under seven quid, served by friendly helpful staff in this attractive cafe, without having to wait too long for it to arrive.

We had a lovely lighter and not so light breakfast a few days ago but noticed the prices had suddenly jumped up. Whilst prices are increasing generally everywhere for everything it does come as bit of a surprise when the price of breakfast including coffees increases by several pounds. Visiting the take out bar downstairs and asked if they did gluten free sandwiches. The young lad behind they counter snapped back and said yes it’s frozen so you can’t have anything as if that was my own fault. So I left without anything. Won’t ever go there again. I must say that up stairs is fantastic. The staff up there will go up and beyond for you, especially with allergies. Find it strange I can get gluten free up stairs but get shouted at if you even ask downstairs. I can only presume that upstairs and downstairs are run by different people. I appreciate that C19 has meant that businesses have had to adapt, but the system in place here didn’t work for our visit and seems a bit nonsensical. Upon arrival a huge notice advises customers to take a seat and a server will bring a menu over, we complied and after 10 minutes of being ignored I had to go to the counter and ask for a menu. One member of the party then has to go to the counter to order, if the establishment is trying to minimise contact they really need to consider full table service. The service we did receive was awful, plates slammed down on the table, no courtesy from our server, I had to ask for cutlery and felt like I was really being a nuisance. The quality of the food was mediocre, my accompanying salad was obviously prepared some time earlier - cucumber was completely dry and salad leaves brown around the edges.I don’t think I will be likely to visit the area again but if I did I would grab a snack elsewhere.

Just had breakfast here and firstly the young lady who served us was extremely pleasant and even said thank you as we left which was very nice. Breakfast was ok but it would be nice if they could spend a little more on the quality of ingredients. I thought the sausages were of ok quality but would have much preferred if they were locally sourced. Bacon also was a cheap mass produced product. I would happily pay more for a "localy sourced" breakfast. We always, wherever possible, support independent traders as opposed to multinationals (Witherspoon 10 yards away) and it would be nice for independents to support local suppliers. However, that is only my view. The cafe is pleasant, clean with attentive staff.

They advertise that they open at 8. I arrived at 8.10 and began by asking for a pot of tea, Before I could get any further - I wanted a full breakfast - I was asked to take a seat and someone would 'see to me'. I was then ignored for 10 minutes. They were busy - most of the staff were sandwich-making, and then an order arrived. But the staff dealing with order, right in front of my table, avoided my eyes, turning their backs on me for most of the time. They were all very young - but, really - someone sitting at an empty table? Why not just smile and ask 'is eveything OK?' or similar. I walked out. The stuff being delivered looked pretty cheap and nasty so it looked like a lucky escape.

Steep stairs up to cafe. Light modern and airy surroundings. My husband ordered lasagne which was very nice. I ordered goats cheese, pancetta and caramelised onion panini. one piece of pancetta, some tiny cubes of goats cheese and a horrible caramelised onion concoction. I took it back and they deal with it charmingly re-doing the panini with more generous portions. However, they need to buy quality chutney, (Monkland cheese diary sell the real thing), big pieces of onion with no caramelised taste or appearance whatsoever, weirdly pink. It hasn't put us off as quite a few items on the menu looked interesting.

I had one just one bite, then just ate the filling, and gave the bread to the birds the following day.please don't bother to try and dispute this, because this is the truth. it was the end of the day, but that is not a good enough excuse.

Try their own-recipe meaty chicken or mince slices. You can relax with newspapers supplied. Favourite spot is the window 'balcony' which overlooks the market .Great to observe the bustle on a Market Day. I’d first like to say that I could fault our food my family had on Saturday lunchtime, it was delicious. I must however Comment on the dreadful behaviour I witnessed from two staff members. One was on her lunch and the other was preparing food behind the counter whilst having a conversation about a member of the town who works locally. The both seemed happy to express their distain for her, calling her some pretty appalling names, all whilst in the presence of customers! I heard her name and the name of her partner so I can only assume people would be able to identify who they were talking about. They should count themselves lucky that they weren’t in the presence of someone who knew this person and would personally take objection to their comments. It makes you worry what they have to say about other customers once they’ve left!

Fabulous sandwiches & soups. Except for hairs found in any of my lunches. But if the girls serving have long hair flapping about it is going to happen!

I ordered the spinach, potato and bacon soup. The flavour was nice but it was so salty that I couldn't eat it. These things happen from time to time, I'm sure that it was just a chef error. However, when I told the waitress she just grinned at me, turned around and took away my plate. My complaint was completely ignored. Maybe it was her first day but I was shocked that I was so utterly dismissed. Please train your staff and taste your soup.

We regularly call in here for lunch on our way to Ludlow. Always seem to have jacket potatoes with prawns as it is SOOOO good! Must try all the other food on the menu as it is all fantastic. Always consistent top quality and the staff friendly, efficient and attentive. Kelly served us yesterday again, don't know how they make a profit with the amount of prawns I get! Thanks everyone. See you in a couple of weeks no doubt. Pat and Graham XXX

Judging by the queue out of the door, we thought we would take a look. The bowls of salad looked appetising, and staff were busy preparing sandwiches etc. Went in ordered, staff helpful and polite, clean tables to sit at. When the food came out, the baguettes were full of filling, side salad and crisps as well. Lovely food and the queue stayed out the door, so must be very popular. Very reasonably priced

This really is one of the best sandwich shops I have been in. Visiting the area on a fishing trip with two friends we called in here for coffee in the morning and take away food for lunch by the lake. I can't believe the amount of food they put onAll the sandwiches were made to order. Fantastic can't be best.

I love this place: half greasy spoon / sandwich bar(downstairs) half modern cafe (upstairs). The food is largely homemade, the portions are big, the prices are reasonable and they offer a a selection of specials and healthy alternatives alongside the old favourites. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area for both a quick sandwich and leisurely lunch - I just wish they were open in the evenings as well!

Beautiful scenic spot, absolutely stunning. Dog friendly. Food was amazing and atmosphere good too. Boat was running as water was too high but didn’t matter to us!

A textbook experience from the moment we entered this charmingly characterful pub restaurant. The staff were attentive from the beginning to the end, polite & friendly. Our meals were well cooked & delicious & we ended with a tea & coffee; my coffee was the best I've experienced in a long time! We shall certainly return quite soon!

Absolutely shocking Saturday lunch experience. Arrived mid lunch time to an empty pub and miserable, unwelcoming, inconvenienced bar maid. All the ale was off. Most of the specials weren’t on so ordered the wild boar hot dog with a salad. It arrived in a stale, cremated smart price bun. The actual hot dog had been oven cooked until it was blackened, it looked like it had been heated up multiple times. Diced, undercooked onions. The meal arrived with a huge portion of oven chips (frozen, undercooked), no salad. Tried mentioning this to the waitress but she’d stormed off. Honestly, the worst paid meal I’ve ever had. Didn’t finish, left and won’t ever be back. Now I understand why the place was empty. The place has so much potential. Hopefully it goes bust and is bought by someone that understands good hospitality.

We were staying on the Malvern View Country and Leisure Park for a weekend stay which we could not fault. However, we dined at The Old Barnhouse on the Saturday evening and unfortunately the food was terrible. We waited for nearly an hour and when the food arrived it was half cold. My mother and father had scampi and chips, no peas and they were out of tartare sauce! My sister and I had the New Yorker chicken which consisted of a huge portion of coleslaw that wasn’t very nice and the chicken was small and if poor quality. My daughter had a kids pizza, chips and beans which was just about acceptable. The five meals and a round of drinks came to over £80 which was appalling for the quality of the food. Avoid The Old Barnhouse for food! Pleasant enough for a drink.
