We booked The Inn for 2 nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. We arrived in the evening, Darren took our luggage and showed us our room (room 2). It is a very beautiful and old building. Our room had all the wooden beams exposed which gave the room a cosy feel. We were too late for food, but the Indian across the road was recommended to us. The bar downstairs was also lovely. Full of welcoming locals and Darren sorted us out when we asked to watch F1. The bar prices are extremely reasonable too. Breakfast was simple, but delicious. The only downside is that this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There are no nearby taxi companies, public transport is not an option either. There is a man called Ray who has a taxi, but it depends if he is available or not. We had to rely on other guests to take us to and from the wedding and to get to and from the hotel from Birmingham Airport was very expensive with Uber. But if you are looking for a simple and rustic place to stay, this is it!

Sorry the person who checked me in was lovely, but the noise from other people staying there at 1,2 and 3am put me on edge all night with my two kids. I wish I'd have read the reviews. Swearing and banging on doors at all hours, walls so thing could hear everything. Basic rooms, clean enough, rest of the place looks not open. OK if maybe staying after night out at wedding venue and you can sleep through noise but with kids horrendous.

As a seasoned traveller am not easily put off by negative feedback as you can’t please everyone but was nervous there hasn’t been a single positive review since 2022/early 23 and can see why after a short time in the place. You’re greeted by an overflowing ashtray at the door onto the street. You walk inside and are faced with loud swearing locals who stare at you for being there as an out of towner. The carpets are ripped. The glasses we were served have never seen soap… The young lady behind the bar was obviously on community service because she made it clear she didn’t want to be there. The female toilets I didn’t find too bad although my partner was treated to a pool of urine in the gents cubicle due to a leak and an external window that is screwed open to make sure you’re cold. A residue of white powder was on top of the men’s cistern just to top it off. I can honestly say that it’s the worst place we’ve ever been in too in what has the potential to be a lovely environment

I had an overnight stay and was worried beforehand given some negative reviews about how the hotel accommodation would be. What I would say is that the room I had definitely required a handyman to go in and fix a few bits. The toilet flush, shower head holder, TV and one of the plug sockets had an issue. When I mentioned it to a member of staff he, to his credit, fixed the flush but said nothing could be done RE the shower. I was only staying overnight and am very understanding, so feel three stars is about right. The staff themselves are welcoming and accommodating. The kitchen had shut when I arrived but after finding out I was looking for food, the chef grabbed me and said he could do a burger for me. When I asked for an ironing board and iron it was provided and the owner refunded me the cost of the breakfast when the chef hadn't turned up the next morning. Pretty spot on. I'd warn people that yes, the flooring is thin and if you are looking for an early night when the pub is busy then you may have a sleepless night. The windows are single pane, so noise gets in from the road and it would be cold in winter, and the curtains are pretty thin. The water pressure and heat was pretty iffy, it warmed up eventually but flow never got much beyond a trickle. It's a pub and rooms with a lot of potential. I'd stay again, but the team running it - who were absolutely great - could do with fixing a few basics.

This place needs a total refurb, including the plumbing, and until it’s had one I would advise against staying. I don’t like writing bad reviews so I will sum it up by saying it’s definitely not what it says on the tin.

In over 40 years of travelling and staying in all sorts of establishments, this was definitely the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. Firstly the promotional pictures bear no resemblance to reality, secondly the whole place needs a deep clean as it’s filthy (disgustingly so) and thirdly the bedrooms are almost of a third world standard. The only thing positive that I can say is that all the staff were friendly and welcoming but after that my only comment is - avoid staying here as it needs a total refurb and the bedrooms (complete with 50 year old beds) need condemning.

2 couples had booked a table of 4 for today, Sunday. Walked in and was greeted by very loud music and 5 or so scruffy, noisy oiks at the bar. The place was untidy, loud,y and no one greeted us. We left and spent £70+ over the road at the Queen's Arms, which was much more welcoming.

This is a very old inn indeed, and the most welcoming place to stay a couple of nights to attend a nearby wedding. The landlord was incredibly friendly and helpful and cooked us an excellent full English both mornings, with veggie option. We'd phoned ahead re an evening meal and he explained there'd been too much uncertainty to reopen the kitchen, and kindly booked a table for us elsewhere just a few steps away. He also booked a taxi for us for the wedding and took us back in the morning to collect our cars. He'd only taken over the tenancy in October 2019...and had to close almost immediately, not the best start! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hospitality of the owners was very good, breakfast was hot and quality of ingredients was excellent. When we arrived we were told that they were not doing food in the evenings and the bar would be shutting at 9pm, this was due to it being very quiet. Understandable but was not mentioned on the website, we would have chosen elsewhere had we known. Sadly the steak restaurant was also closed but no notice of it. The room we were given (No 4?) was very small, it was the last room available on Expedia, it said it was a double room but the bed was definitely a 3/4 bed, thankfully we are not big people, but the mattress was very squishy so we kept rolling into each other, it was not the best night sleep. It was great to get away but sadly Bromyard was very quiet for August. We were sorry to miss out on the food at The Inn as it held great promise.

OK dont know where to start. This place used to have a great atmosphere along with the food that was brilliant and a nice mixture of bistro and pub classics menu, specials were great too, but now it's absolutely shocking definitely not a bistro and obviously don't have a real chef the place looks empty and cold no atmosphere just a place where a few locals prop up the bar its an old mans boozer not a bistro they should be embarrassed at their branding. If I had one word of advice it would be for the owner to get a real chef or even better bring back the chef that built the reputation of the business as it really was a great place to eat. I saw a piece in the Hereford Times stating the inn was the best place to eat in Bromyard that's misleading as its based off old reviews

The menu doesn't match that displayed on the website, it is a simple pub menu. They never came to take the drinks order. The food was okay, but it is a locals pub, not a bistro pub at all. We both really enjoyed the meal, the chef even came out for a chat and was rightly very proud of the food. The cheesecake deserts were also fabulous. All excellent value for money. Absolutely disgusted with this place, they only get a star because giving none is not an option. We were visiting the area and had booked Sunday lunch for 8 adults and 4 children, we arrived early for lunch intending to have a few drinks first, we informed them at the bar that we were going to go into the beer garden so the children could play, we were holding the children at the bar when we informed them of this so they knew how young they were (3.5, almost 2, 1.5 and just 1) Having been in the garden for around an hour a local came out for a ciggie and informed us that "he wouldn't let children play out here" as the day before there had been a massive sewer leak and the whole place had literally been covered in effluent. We were horrified at what the kids might have on them and left immediately although we did go and pay for the drinks we had had and informed them at the bar that it was disgraceful that they had not told us about the garden especially given how small the children were, they were not in the least concerned. This has also been reported to the environment agency and the food standards agency.

Bread was dry sliced bread, baguette was like the ones we buy part baked. Bacon barely cooked and tomato not sliced, rather lumps. Said it came with chips and a salad, I had 5 wedges, not chips, and a slice of cucumber, a lump of tomato, 2 leaves, covered in balsamic vinegar. For these and two soft drinks, just over £20, so hardly good value. I think we would have been better off in coop opposite!!

We have been here for a family meal and more times for breakfast and coffee with friends. Great coffee and the breakfast menu is brilliant. Bacon sarnies and all cooked fresh. Great service with a smile. We will return over and over again.

Overnight stay at The Inn. Check I was smooth and Sue was really helpful. Small room but having seen the reviews we were aware of that before booking. Clean and tidy. We had lunch - very filling and were not going to eat at night but returned earlier than we thought and managed to get the last table. The food did not disappoint! We would recommend the garlic mushrooms, pate, liver and pork belly! Really friendly atmosphere in the bar. Excellent breakfast to finish. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to others. Thank you to you all at The Inn.

A lovely meal tonight in Bromyard our first visit, food was really nice and served by friendly staff...all the meals were good and well presented...a nice touch was the offer of more chips etc...if required..very busy...which says it all really...husband disappointed as they had run out of Steak and Ale pie...so a good excuse to go again...liked the crisp linen table cloth and napkins...

Excellent food, good size portions and the dauphnious potatoes were amazing! A shame we didn't have room for puddings as they looked good too - hopefully next time!

My partner and I discovered this welcoming pub for mid-week lunch and can recommend both the food quality and the sensible prices. I chose pan-fried liver with bacon, my partner had a beef and ale pie. As well as the usual chips, mashed potato and new potato, there is also the option of gratin dauphinoise which I found delicious. Including assorted vegetables and two drinks, our bill came to a very reasonable £31.

Recently visited the Inn while at Nozstock Festival for some breakfast. Was so good we came back on the Sunday and the Monday. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the pub itself was spotless and the breakfast to die for. We will definitely be back next year.

It has a good range of vegetarian food as well as a long list of meat and fish options. It was all beautifully presented and was lovely to eat. Sue, the landlady, made us very welcome even though had just turned up without booking. It was busy (always a good sign!) but Sue found us a table after only a short wait. Thank you for a nice evening out!

We were made very welcome even though we arrived with out a booking. The friendly landlady found us a table after a short wait. And it was worth it as the food was so nice. There is a good range for vegetarians and a long list for meat and fish eaters. All of our meals were delicious.

Arrived at The Inn at Bromyard to a very warm welcome. Check in was quick and was shown to room 5. A nicely appointed double room with en-suite. Room was clean, light and airy with charming character. Nice added touch of complimentary biscuits, tea/coffee facilities and bathroom accessories. Evening meal fantastic with a great choice on the menu and presented to a high standard. Breakfast was also very good with a good choice. Very relaxing atmosphere, Sue and her team worked extremely hard to keep us happy and other customers. Would definitely go back there if in the area. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

We recently spent two nights in Bromyard, we found this pub: the staff were very friendly, there was a 'standard' pub menu, and the food was very nice. We ate in the courtyard (in the sun !), and it was a nice location. There was a selection of good beers on tap.

We visited The Inn at Bromyard for my Mum's birthday and were not disappointed. We rung before our visit to enquire if they were dog friendly and the staff could not have been more accommodating arranging us a table in the bar are so we could take him with us. We were greeted by the most lovely lady on our arrival and this continued throughout the evening with every member of staff we encountered. They are some of the most, friendly, accommodating staff I've come across and nothing was too much trouble. The food itself was superb and definitely one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The pork belly definitely comes highly recommended as does the steak and ale pie if you've got a big appetite! If we are ever back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We came for lunch on the 27 June with friends who were visiting us. We didn’t book, but it was mid-week so not a problem. The weather was glorious so doors were open and we had the big window table which was lovely. We had various meals, 2 x steak & Butty Bach pies, a scampi & a liver & onion. All the meals were absolutely delicious and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The lady who served us was lovely and extremely welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. If you’re in the delightful village of Bromyard and in need of sustenance, then look no further than The Inn at Bromyard. You might find somewhere cheaper, but you won’t find better food, service, or a nicer atmosphere. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and are happy to recommend this Inn.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied but not too much choice. We opted for jacket potato and a flat bread. Fresh and well presented.

Cannot recommend this charming pub / restaurant highly enough. I had the best Stilton and brocolli soup I've ever had and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The owners were incredibly kind and helped me out when I got stranded in a flood.

Ignore the horrible unkind comment about the staff. It bares no resemblance to kind, friendly service. Food is great, home cooking, good prices, clean and tantalising smells making us eat a yummy plate of really good "grub"! Go there regularly. Thanks guys xx
