Nice place for a Sunday lunch after a long drive to Wye Valley from Kent. Nice ambiance with the locals and our roast dinners were tasty, overall good value. It was a beautiful sunny day and next time we come we’ll have a relaxing drink outside along the river.

Absolutely awful woman (I use that word loosely) behind the bar....rude and sarcastic.... told us to go elsewhere if we didn't like it.....plus the prices were so expensive....... do yourself a favour and AVOID like the plague. I hope that barmaid loses her job.

Six of us had sandwiches of varying fillings and we shared some chips (homemade-delicious). We polished everything off and everyone was happy. Would recommend definitely.

Not been here before. Thought we would give it a go today. Very disappointed. Cash only. Latte coffee was very poor and in heavy glass jugs. Eggs watery with rubbery toast smothered in cheesey very salty butter, not nice at all. The seats were really uncomfortable. Most of the other customers were really noisy and full of the flu. To top it off very depressing music playing. We will not be going back first and last visit.

Don’t bother! We have been her several times despite it being overpriced. We do so as we want it support local businesses and not chains. We waited to be seated as requested and asked to move when a waiter sat us on a small table in the middle of the restaurant. He did and we thanked him. Then a stroppy waitress came to our table and basically told us off for moving tables then walked off. Another waitress came to take our order. My husband ordered a coffee and asked for the (£10.95 !) bacon Brie and cranberry panini to be without cranberry-apparently not possible! So he just stuck with the coffee. I wanted a non dairy coffee but the only alternative to cows milk is soya which I do not like. So I ordered a glass of wine only to be told I could only have that if I purchased a meal. There was nothing on the menu that I wanted. We walked out and we will not be visiting again.

We visited with family who live in the village, and joined the very well run and attended pub quiz. The Tarrington Arms is not a generic renovated pub, instead it retains it's original if slightly faded character, which adds to it's charm. It is also a friendly pub both in terms of staff and locals of all ages. A range of local beers and ciders are stocked, including real ales.

I have been here several times for tapas before and the food was excellent, unfortunately this time it was not. I will not be returning.
