Another personal favorite in town. I visit regularly with my husband, often in the evenings. A quiet place, sometimes a little tight, but it fits together to feel quite cosy most of the time. They serve my husband's favorite burgers in town, and both of us adore their chips. I often go for their steaks- particularly the ribeye- and this is one of only two places I've been to in the UK that feel like they measure up to what I'm used to back in America. The food can add up to quite the cost, but you get what you pay for.
Had a table booked for NYE, we turned up to find the restaurant closed and in complete darkness. They were shut for an extended period of time during 2024 - I reckon that’s them finished for good now. Sad.

Had a lovely evening here last night the food was great and starters nicely presented which is unusual nowadays. My lamb madras was spot on and the service fantastic all in a lovely setting with nice music!!
Popped in for a quick lunch on a dull Saturday in January 2025. Wow, smiles from everyone and great food at a fantastic price. Great service, couldn't have asked for more.

Staff friendly and helpful
Fabulous meal, dropped by without a reservation and enjoyed the loveliest home made steak and ale pie I have had for ages! Came complete with its own mini copper pan full of gravy; no-one ever gives you enough gravy normally right?! Lovely bar area with fireplace and separate restaurant seating in historic building. Lovely friendly staff. Will be going back.
Nice coffee, unfortunately the whole visit was spoilt by the incredibly rude member of staff brown hair shoulder length in her 60s commenting negatively on two toddlers enjoying themselves in an almost empty café.
"Edit To Reply" = Customers come in all different sizes and ages.. 6 people paying for there food and drink which came with two toddlers being themselves enjoying a day out. The two customers that were there on the other side of the café came over and happily interacted with the toddlers in a positive manner. I struggle to believe your statement regarding the displeasure from other customers. It's not that I believe your comment was rude, you were blatantly rude. Pulling a face and not saying excuse me or a polite introduction you simply said one sentence and walked away. From a business and personal perspective you are in the wrong. A simple straight apology would suffice not a round about indirect approach. We shall agree to disagree.
We were visiting from Portsmouth and, after reading positive reviews online, chose to dine at Mozalicious. Our experience was lovely —the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was great. It is certainly worth a visit.
