Great experience, lovely staff, warm welcoming and friendly bar.

After a very pleasant first impression of the little george with a charming atmosphere, my opinion was changed by the very sour demeanor of the lady in charge of front of house. She came across as very unfriendly and abrupt with the other servers who were lovely and very attentive.

Visited again today very poor service compared to my first visit. The waitress completely forgot about our order and was busy chatting.

Excellent, room, location and owners, staff. Felt very welcomed and relaxed , as a solo traveller not always the case . Very highly recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting my son who was working on a nearby farm . Had a great time . Nothing to complain about everything was great . My son and his girlfriend stayed a night with me to give them a break from the farm caravan and I hadn’t booked them but The little George sorted it for me .

Always our little treat to pop in here and have a tipple or pot of tea, whichever the mood takes us. Lovely little place. Very inviting and comfortable.

Our family of 4 stayed here at this hotel and it was a perfect stop after a day at Alton Towers. Our room was massive and fit all of us nicely. Was neat and tidy and bathroom was also a large size. Room had everything we needed and the breakfast in the morning was perfect. Hotel beds were a bit more on the hard side. For those who like a more firm mattress. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a great stay!

I haven't stayed here so cannot comment on the rooms, service is friendly and fast, the coffee and scones were amazing, lovely little place to while the morning away.

Really great pub and cafe . Friendly staff and a great vibe

This is a little gem of a place. Perfect for us as we were visiting relatives nearby. Our double ensuite room was delightfully decorated with more character than a Premier Inn and reasonably priced. We had a good choice for breakfast and I am looking forward to our next visit to try out what I think were called oatcakes which looked delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful, really nothing about the place not to like. Thanks to the team.

Stayed for 1 night whilst visiting relatives. Located on a busy intersection of this Staffordshire village, there's traffic noise and monster agricultural vehicles which might make you feel that you're on the set of a Mad Max film. But fear not... This is a vibrant village with a great selection of places to eat and drink. We had a dog friendly room at the front of the pub (The Clooney) which was, quite simply, fantastic value. We've paid a lot more for a lot less in terms of facilities and cleanliness. The absolute standout, however, was the helpfulness and warmth of the staff. They would be a credit to any establishment. Breakfast options fabulous and would recommend to anyone. We will certainly use The Little George with the big welcome again. x

Excellent restaurant / B&B with pleasant staff and nice food

Nice wee hotel, with comfy and spacious rooms and very friendly and attentive staff. Good car-parking and a busy pub, ideally positioned right in the middle of the village, within easy walking distance to some nice restaurants nearby. Can recommend Olive for a good Italian, only 50m away, but busy, so probably best to make a reservation first. Would definitely stay again, when in the area.

Great room, with exposed beams and quality furnishings. Friendly staff who were very helpful and polite. I’ll be staying there again can’t fault it.

Only went for coffee and cake but that was great and you get a free refill. Looking forward to attending their music and pizza nights. Great pizza and Mark hosts an amazing quiz night on a Wednesday.

Enjoyed staying and stayed in the large family room (Harrison). Individual design with exposed beams - lovely. Staff very helpful. Across the road from great Indian restaurant (Balti Palace).

Great bar and friendly welcome. Great and interesting selection of beers. Food brilliant for quick lunches and milkshakes amazing. Real attention to you as a customer. Great cake dogs welcome. Can't wait to get back in the outside huts during summer

Fun place to go for an evening out

This is our second stay here as a family and received another warm welcome and lovely stay. The room is fantastic for us, the breakfasts are spot on too. Plentiful car parking. Places to eat nearby. Place is clean and well maintained. Room was cleaned and fresh towels provided each day. Radiators were on the blink but the heater they provided was made the room toasty in minutes. Thank you, we’ll be back again 😊

Best cup of coffee in Eccleshall

Nice little coffee shop , small coffee came in a very small cup though.

A review for Bents Brew House. This proved to be a great refuge during a horrible drive up from Devon during Storm Babet. The staff were friendly and welcoming and were more than happy to provide some hot water for a baby's bottle. Great coffee. I was just rueing the fact I didn't live closer and could have had one of their great selection of beers instead.

We stayed at the Little George for work last week, it is a gem. Great oatcakes, best we've had so far in Staffordshire, really friendly welcome and great parking. Rooms really comfy and the showers are great. Will make this the place we will regularly stay at for the duration of our work.

Nice little, pub/cafe and Very nice food.

What a little gem this place is. We could not fault anything during our stay, our room was nice and big, fab shower, nice touch with fresh milk in the fridge, and proper mugs to make a hot drink, bed was really comfortable and the room was spotless. The bar area was pleasant to sit in, and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were very professional, and extremely friendly, we will certainly make sure we visit again. Thanks for a great overnight stay……

Fantastic little hide away in Eccleshall. The rooms were modern and reasonably large for England. The staff were the highlight of our 3 night stay.

Didn't use rooms,went for coffee saw they had Bank's Amber so it was that and Mrs drove home😆

Quite enjoy this place very clean easy to get served good parking nice and central for echo which is only five or six miles north of Stafford decent choice of food and drink

The Little George was a great find! Nestled in a gorgeous, very English village with a good selection of enticing pubs, cute bars and even a cat cafe. The George itself has a very homely, welcoming bar, beautifully decked out in wood crafted fittings. Cute pods outside too. We stayed in the Harrison room as a twin which was spacious and with a lovely bathroom. Easy parking on site. Highly recommended.

Had another lovely stay in The Little George last Saturday. Stayed in the Harrison room which is larger than the Clooney but has the same attention to detail, comfortable beds, and high standard of cleanliness. I really appreciate the pottery mugs and the fresh milk which is provided in the room; these touches make you feel so welcome. The Little George simply cannot be beaten. It has a prime location in a beautiful village with plenty of amenities. But it is the ambience and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff which singles it out as THE place to stay in Staffordshire. A big thank you to Andy and Jeff and all the staff who provide a standard of care which a lot of hotels fail to attain. Many thanks, it was great!

We sat in the outdoor pods which are brilliant! They have a clear screen on one end to prevent the wind tunnel effect! Will come back for sure

Based on a recommendation, we booked an overnight stay here whilst travelling down the country. The welcome was warm and hospitable, the room was immaculate and the breakfast was great. Hospitality done well :)

Wonderful cafe/bar. I visit weekly. It’s a great place to work and also a great place to relax in the evenings/weekends. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I don’t know what I’d do without it! ☺️

Had a nice afternoon drink (Poretti) here today, nice and friendly atmosphere.

We hired 3 of the 4 rooms available and each room was beautifully decorated with a complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. One room even had a mirror which you could use as a speaker for music. The staff offer an amazing service. Andy was incredible friendly and helpful but not overbearing! They also did fabulous food! Can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Really beautiful rooms and amazing staff! The room was amazing but we were on the second floor so didn't get much sleep as could hear the people above us walking about on the creaky floorboards for most of the night. In the morning I asked if we could move us to a room on the floor up which they did and it was perfect! In leaving, my husband had left his electric Toothbrush behind and they were so kind and actually posted it to us!

Only went for coffee & a meeting in one of the garden pods, but what an absolute little gem of a place. Looking forward to going back one weekend for brunch & drinks!

Great little hotel couldn't find any faults with it. Quiz nights and live music nights to keep you entertained too.

We were attending a wedding nearby so decided to book a room to save us travelling home. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the room was beautiful and had everything we needed to get ready for the evening. The following morning the owner asked about our evening and we had a lovely breakfast before we left. I would definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back to stay again on the future.

Lovely little b&b in the heart of the village. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Service is incredibly lovely and helpful. One downfall for me was that the room is stayed in faced the main road with heavy traffic starting early morning. Saying that the business, I've recognised this as an issue and provides earplugs 😊

The room was beautifully decorated. Excellent facilities. Comfy beds. Having fresh milk for teas and coffees was such a bonus. Breakfast was tasty and adequate for what we needed. Plenty of parking and a great location.

I live relatively local but love to pop in for a coffee (decaff) from time to time. The staff are always pleasant and serve with a smile. It's just a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Great place to meet with friends.

Good parking area. Very nice outdoor seating cubicles. Stopped for a swift half mid afternoon and was very impressed with the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We have driven past numerous times and never seen it empty.

Love this place, great little pub with guest beers on tap and beer garden to boot right In the heart of eccleshall.

Had a couple of pints here and I did like the pub, it is nice and clean and has a good car park at the rear with plenty of outdoor seating as well. The staff were very well mannered and friendly and the bar has a very wide choice of beers etc.

From the start the pub looked very nice downstairs and the staff was very welcoming. The room was very nice and loads of space. The only things that wasn't great is the shower didn't get very hot, and the cooked breakfast wasnt the best. Also would have been nice to have herbal tea in the room. But i definitely would stay again and thought it was good value for money.

Popped in on our way to Norbury for a canal trip. Nice modern pub/bar with outside seating area with barrel shaped booths. Local beers at reasonable prices. Food selection was a little too "refined" for my liking, and in my humble opinion needs a few pub staples, can't please everyone. Well worth a visit.

The room was spacious and spotless clean. The breakfast was really nice just like the staff would highly recommend to stay here.

Beautiful bedroom and bathroom, very tastefully decorated. Tea mugs were a decent size (larger than what is normally supplied elsewhere), real milk in the fridge. As we stayed on Easter Sunday 2 large Easter eggs had been left in our room. Excellent full breakfast with lighter options. As much tea and coffee as you like. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing seemed too much for them to handle.

Good selection of good quality drinks. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the decor was lovely. The visit was only let down by the slow service despite it being quiet. At one point, I was also ignored by the bartender in his eagerness to serve a local over my shoulder who had just walked in. Despite this, I would still visit again.

I have stayed here a few times, staff are extremely friendly and offer great service. The rooms are large and very comfortable, always very well presented. Bathrooms are very nicely finished and the rooms are very good quality. I highly recommend and look forward to staying again soon.

This is actually a really nice place. What spoiled it was that people are allowed to vape in the outside seating area. On the occasion we visited, during a cold evening, the amount of people vaping just resulted in us being clouded in their vapour. It was awful. We just left. Such a shame.

Small choice of beers. Rip off pricing! I found the Royal Oak in Eccleshall was more appealing for both choice and price

Oh dear. Popped in for a hot drink and lunch when passing through. They had run out of brunch foods and there was a 45 minute wait anyway. We took our tea,which was rather weak ,to a window seat where we gazed over at Flour and Co and realised we had made a wrong choice
