Always nice to come back and meet friends

Good service and a decent selection of drinks albeit at high prices i.e. £5.40 for a pint of lager. Toilets desperately in need of a refurb (and a clean on the day I visisted). Uncomfortably cold; even with two fires lit I found it necessary to keep my coat on for the duration of my visit.

Excellent real ale pub. Staff know their beers. Always have different breweries.

Avoid Rooms inside here look as though they were last cleaned on the Jubilee Cold and damp with electric blow heaters in the rooms Towels not changed over the 3 day stay But to be fair the rooms ou t the back were more modern and warm I'm sorry but I can not recommend a stay here

Walked in, was 2nd in the queue, but when I got to 1st, the red head girl behind the bar decided to serve 2 others (locals) ahead of me, and eyeballed me in the process, she knew what she was doing. I walked out and went to the Red Lion. Poor service should not be tolerated, especially in an ultra competitive pub trade

Massive disappointment. Had read the great reviews so was expecting great things. Couldn’t have been worse. We visited on a Tuesday so perhaps we were just served the weekend leftovers, but the two real ales were rubbish- tired, old and flat in seconds. Service ( for us)was appalling too. Barman ignored us and served a regular who arrived at bar after us. I know the score, you have to look after regulars, but at least acknowledge the person who has been waiting. Looks a decent pub with loads on offer but if you serve crap beer with appalling manners, my money ain’t coming your way. We spent 3 nights in Stone and every other place we visited served good beer with a smile and a chat.

Nice pub shame bar staff weren't smily though and then we were rufly asked to move for the band no issue with that but complete or thank you so 6 people they lost

Best pub in Stone by far. Great atmosphere, no track suit idiots and good live music.

Once again I hit the Swan. Be doing exactly the same for about 50 years (works training college was up the road at Yarnfield) but I now do it on the canal. (For 38 years this way). Can't understand why boat won't start for 4 days or so, so have to replenish the boats thirst in the Swan. As US General McCarthy said when he got kicked out of the Philipines "I WILL RETURN".

Proper pub. Called through curiosity, husband thought a pub was in this street and he was right. Quiz night going on when we were there, clearly a community. Loved the chairs in the bar!

An absolutely fantastic pub! Myself and a few friends were having an afternoon in Stone trying different watering holes and this was my favourite. A brilliant selection of beers that they would let you try first, great staff. I also had a real cider which was v potent but very moreish. The customers were all my type of people (I am of a certain age and ex rocker and biker) and if I lived locally this would be my pub of choice.

Been going to this pub for a few years travel from Stoke-on-Trent for a lovely pint and friendly people very clean and a lovely be a garden.

Hood old fashioned pub which thankfully survived covid... Didn't try the food so unable yo comment but plenty of different beers.

Just moved into the area and this was our first visit. Lovely atmosphere, traditional pub with open fires.Friendly staff and customers and excellent selection of craft beers and high quality wine options. Advertising lots of music /quizz nights.Looking forward to revisiting.

Usually busy with a great atmosphere, one of the best beer selections in Stone. A real fire keeps the pub warm and comfortable in winter.

Only walked in to see if it was a decent pub for a pint with my misses and was hounded by a woman telling me abruptly that a can’t park on the car park overnight. Obviously not a good experience so I left to find a friendly pub elsewhere.

Will always highly recommend this place to anyone appreciating a good beer, great night. They also have fantastic bands on for live music too! 👌
