Amazing food, beautiful restaurant friendly staff, it was our first visit, definitely not our last xx

First visit and will definitely be returning. I went for the beef rendang with rice ( beautifully fragranced) my partner went for a seafood broth , can't remember what it was called. ..and the salt & egg chicken wings are out of this world

Lovely micro pub with friendly atmosphere. People go here for the drink selection more than food. They serve bar snacks and fresh cobs.

Room smelled badly of cigarettes complained but apparently no other rooms available. Did put a small machine in room to help clear air while we went out smell better on return but still noticable. Checked room availability and still had rooms! Only one towel in room but as after 11 couldn't be bothered to get dressed and go to reception Very warm in room.Did try with air con but no change. We stayed in a premier Inn in Tunbridge wells last night which was much better..

We popped in of an afternoon on a sunday for a cob and a pint! Atmosphere great and lovely people! Just to note cobs are cash only so we had to rummage around the car for change! Great local! Also great with kids i have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and couple of the locals ended up giving my eldest a £1 for the sweet machine as we had used all our change for cobs!! Very sweet and lovely people! 1000% recommended!

Upon arrival, we were seated at our table with haste, left unattended for several minutes. When asked for drinks, we inquired for some tap water which was provided, but with no glasses provided. We finally got to give our food order, which covered 8 people. Since some of our party had less of an appetite, they wanted to share their main courses with another member. However, the waiter told us that we were not allowed to to eat at the restaurant unless every individual ordered their own main dish. We were confused by this, since we had eaten here before and were allowed to share our dishes. Yet the waiter was adamant about this, refusing our request. We left the premises soon after. It's a shame that we were willing to try this place again to such restrictive rules.

When is it opening back up, need those toasties back in my life, simply ridiculously good

Went for Sunday lunch , beautifully presented by excellent helpful staff. Great value. Highly recommend, but you must book as only 5 tables.

Vine aquí después de verlo revisado en footy scran. Mi amigo y yo pedimos la parrilla de mezcla más grande y mi otro amigo probó la guindilla. En primer lugar la comida era excepcional. La carne fue cocinada a la perfección. Incluso las chuletas de la lámpara eran tiernas como deberían ser las de cordero. La masa de pakora de pescado era crujiente y sabrosa. Las picaduras de pollo eran celestiales. También pedí un naam de queso y chile que era divino. Lo que realmente hizo este lugar era el personal y los propietarios. Una cálida bienvenida y eran una pareja encantadora. Es un pin hogareño y un montón de habituales, así que obviamente un pub bien recibido. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente.

Food service amazing but don't have the water paid £2.30 per bottle my wife gets the same water from Aldi a pack of for £1.49 bit of a rip off

Our first time using this gem, couldn't ask for more friendlier staff. The food was great, for once I think the food actually beat my hubby

Lovely village pub that clearly has plenty of history. We visited on a weekday lunchtime so it was very quiet (5 customers in total). Had pie and chips which was really tasty... but it wasn't a pie!(it was a bowl of steak and ale mix with a pastry topping).

Came here with 3 kids before the Albany Theatre. Really great food. Seafood linguine was well cooked and the sauce nicely spiced. Beef short rib was excellent too. Kids loved the brownies!

We enjoyed ourselves very much here on Saturday morning. We had an amazingly cooked breakfasts, those beans are incredible! 😲 and our drinks were lovely too! Staff were very friendly and accommodating and we will definitely be back soon ☺️
