Limited menu, although some specials were on the board.; good choice of desserts. A very busy pub with people constantly pushing past from the garden and caravan site. Did not like the fact that the cat sits and walks on top of the tables and that there is a notice implying that the cat is not too friendly. Manager is a little brush, which was off putting and we have not eaten there since.

This is an establishment we have visited over the years but not in a long time and following a recent review believed we should visit because we felt this couldn’t possibly be the same pub we knew. It was a cold wet Sunday, so to walk into to an old traditional pub was what was needed. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the young lady behind the bar, shown to our table and drinks order taken. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and an excellent poured pint of Guinness. Both realistically priced. After browsing the menu and specials board, my husband decided on Beef and Guinness pie with mash potatoes, my mother liver and onions and mash with a side of chips. I went for the traditional roast beef. All arrived on hot plates piping hot which is a must in our household. We were served a bowl of vegetables consisting of broccoli, cabbage, carrots and swede. When we realised we needed more vegetables in no time the waitress brought out another bowl. Service was professional and with a smile and the roast beef was cooked to perfection , with two large slices. If I was to make one observation but definitely not a criticism, only based on personal choice, I would have preferred a thicker gravy. Following dinner although extremely full we opted for bread and butter pudding, a dish I haven’t made in a while, with extra hot custard, at our request and homemade ice cream. This was a real treat because normally my husband and I work on Sundays, so to have dinner cooked and time spent with my mother in wonderful surroundings, what else would you want on a cold Sunday afternoon!! We are very lucky to have a privately owned family run public house, a rarity to all the chain establishments, here in Worcestershire

We stayed at the campsite for a family get together. Customer service was 5* throughout. Lovely welcome at the bar when we arrived and three great meals - including being part of a group of 10 for lunch - really enjoyed our stay - 10 out of 10 for the Old Bush. If you’ve any room (the food portions are very generous) the cafe does a great breakfast.

Lovely little hideaway. We stayed in one of the cabins at the top of the hill so had a lovely view. The cabin was clean with tea and coffee amenities. The bed wasn't too comfortable but it makes sense as it is a glamping pod not a five star hotel. The shower block had a nice hot shower and there was a communal fridge and microwave if we chose to use it.

Set well back from the road, down its own little lane, is this characterful little old pub in a very pretty setting. The food is all properly homemade and beautifully cooked. The menu is delightfully different and has a great choice, with some excellent sounding specials. I had sea bass in lashings of delicious leek and mustard sauce. It came with very generous portions of veg and potatoes. Fantastic that you have the choice of how you want your potatoes - i.e. chips, or new potatoes, mash etc. Also great you quite rightly get both fillets of the fish (more and more places now are being measly and only serving one fillet - which frankly is just not enough!) The food was great value and we shall be back - to work our way through the fantastic sounding menu! Incidentally, I loved the large aviaries at the far end of the long pub garden, which was such a lovely a relaxing place to sit out and enjoy. We loved our visit.

We stayed at The Old Bush on route to Scotland, and it was a wonderful place to park our motorhome for the evening. The bathroom facilities were super clean and private, and there is a very well stocked little farm shop on site that sells everything you can think of and lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. On the way back from Scotland we stayed there again and we went for dinner in the evening at the pub and it was a great experience. The service was good and the food was delicious. We loved all the games they had inside and we had a lovely family meal. The pub was super lively. We had packed some games to play with the kids and we forgot them at the pub and only realised when we got home (after a 4 hour drive) we were going to leave it but the one game was sold out online so I took a chance and emailed asking if they could please post the games home to us and Matt very kindly posted them back for free even after I offered to pay for postage. Overall we had a wonderful experience at the pub, the shop and the motorhome site and we highly recommend stopping for the evening if you are on a long drive or just passing through. It was super easy to book online aswell. We will definitely be back for the welcoming and warm experience that we had and the excellent service from Matt in particular.

This was a welcome find on a wet and windy night with a good selection of beers. The food we had (scotch egg and pork pie) were lovely, and we highly commend the pub for actually keeping these items chilled, not stuck in the counter out of the chill chain as we have seen in many places. As it was a Sunday evening and not long before Christmas, there weren't many customers in, in fact it became just me and my other half after a while. Such a shame for ALL pubs which is why we ho and support them when they need supporting.

For our evening meal my vegetable enchiladas were delicious, as was my husband’s sea bass. As for the dessert… well… if my husband looked at me the way he looked at that bread and butter pudding, I’d feel like a goddess. It took him right back to childhood, just like the food critic in Ratatouille. We could practically hear his nan dishing it up. I was pleased to see when backcountry ales took on this pillar of the community, the pub has been there for decades and I thought this is just what it needs keep going. I arrived at lunch time and there was a private function going on and I appeared to be the only single customer in there, which felt very odd and weird so I just ordered a half. The young lady that served me was prompt, polite and smiling, soon as she served me she went straight back round the other side of the bar??? Another woman was stood in the hatch on her phone, I can only assume it was the manager, she never came up from here phone, when a customer came to the bar she called the young lady to serve them???? The poor girl was being pulled between 2 bars with a full pub for a private function. The pub looks great, the ale wasn't to the usual standards of a blackcountry Inn, it was green and warmer than it should be. Sorry to say my first experience of the new Bush wasn't great, I hope that on my next visit it will be what a black country Inn is, warm, inviting, well looked after ales served as they are ment to be. I'm looking forward to it, fingers crossed.

Four of us had a light lunch here yesterday. We had hoped to sit outside by the lake but it was cold so we were in the bistro which is lovely. We all ordered sandwiches which were delicious and presented beautifully with a small selection of dressed salad leaves . We all had banana sponge pudding with toffee sauce and ice cream - a bit like sticky toffee pudding but even better. The staff were immaculately turned out, and genuinely welcoming and helpful. This is such a lovely place and we will definitely be back before long.

We visited Saturday evening and booked a pod, it was fantastic toasty warm ,nice linen and just really cozy, the service and food were outstanding, thank you for looking after us as it can’t be easy when you have weddings on as well but you would never have known, even got to see fireworks! Couldn’t have been better, see you again soon.

Staff are extremely friendly and always up for a great laugh. Portion sizes are very large, great value for money. Wide range of drinks to suit either a quiet night out or even a messy one. Amazing atmosphere all around be it in the restaurant or the bar. I discovered this little gem on accident, it was a very happy accident and I will be returning without a doubt. Thanks Garry and team

All fine - nice people, nice coffee and croissant, nice place. Recommended. Don't sit to the left of the forecourt space if you don't like the smell of patchouli that comes from the adjoining shop.
