Very good pizza and reasonably priced! Lovely for a family get together

Very good and prompt service. Friendly and efficient staff, a totally pleasant dining experience. I was pleased with everything.

You’re always guaranteed a great pizza at Alicia’s and this time was no exception. The Sardinian lager I tried was also delicious. One star off for a couple of reasons: we had a really wobbly table, which had obviously been like that for a while so I’m not sure why it hadn’t been fixed. We asked to move in the end. A dip also costs £2.50, which is way too expensive. £1.50 max is more reasonable. That said, I’m sure I’ll be back!

Walked in requesting a table for 5 including a wheelchair user. The staff could not have done any more for us. Service was exceptional and food was great too. Would definitely return.

Good value, good people, what's not to like?

This is a lovely small Italian restaurant. I found the menu had been reduced since I visited last in January but we ordered Pizza's which were both lovely. We shared a Cannoli which finished our meal off well. The service was excellent with friendly attentive staff.

The food was very good as usual, although we were looking forward to pizzas that we have had before that were no longer on the streamlined menu and the vegetarian options limited but we all chose something we we very happy with. The cannoli was beautiful. Nice to see some of the young staff still there from last time - we were well looked after. It’s good to see a small, independent business serving good food doing well so small things, like our food taking a while to come out despite being early in the evening, are forgiven but it’s why it’s a 4 and not a 5 star review.

is very dirty inside. i do not think the owner are italian, i talk to him and he not very interesting in italy or italian food. you can tell. pizza is very american in style even though they use italian ingredient. disappointing because my friend say it is good, oh well

A really solid pizza restaurant, with really nice staff and a great atmosphere. I've been a few times now and am yet to not enjoy a meal.

Food was great, but what a rip off. They charged vat, on the menu prices! Charged for an chilli sauce (£2), really disappointed as there is no need for the hidden costs. I suppose you need to hide the ‘expensive’ pizza, who wants to pay £17/18 for a pizza! A real shame. Alicia’s you should be ashamed.

I have visited a few times and the food has never disappointed. It’s delicious and also excellent quality. I’ve never had a problem when visiting Alicia’s however this time I found the service pretty bad. It was slow and nonexistent. It took 30 mins for them to come over and take our first drinks order and from then it took us a while to get the attention of anyone to get another or to order our food. In the end we were there for two hours and only had 2 drinks. Although, can never doubt the food so would probably visit again.

Flew back to my old local area from Christchurch New Zealand 11766 miles to be exact, Service was excellent, I chose the spicy meat pizza with the garlic bread as a starter washed down with a bottle of Henry Weston cider, The food was excellent, the service was very quick in a warm and welcoming enviroment, Staff as always very friendly and helpful, highly recommended 10/10.........

I went there for dinner with some friends. The food was delicious and the atmoshpere was nice. Excellent and proffessional staff! The pistachio ice-cream is the best.

Small, cosy and just fantastic food. A quality product that was just so epic in taste ans value! Absolutely the perfect date night with some epic local beers on offer. You need to book or you just won't get in. Good for kids with decent offers on offer. If you love pizza you need to go!!!! I'm still after so many visits in ore of the pizza, especially it's base, it's just amazing.

Amazing food. Ignore the previous review. We were sat next to them. The new waiter was a young lad, first day, and simply delivered a pizza to the wrong people. Minor error and we all make mistakes. The manager tried to rectify things but was met with aggression. The abuse served from the family was not deserved and I had to remind them to be kind. Staff friendly, polite and attentive. Will definitely come back. Even if I’m on fire.

Great first visit to Alicia's. Went early evening and service was timely, good and friendly. Flexible to dietary request. Garlic bread (especially), fries and pizzas all great quality! Atmosphere was nice. Would recommend and sure we'll go again.

It’s been a while since we last visited. The welcoming was good and the banter while ordering enjoyable. I had the spicy meat with an extra topping of anchovies. The pizza was a little disappointing. In short it wasn’t that spicy. The nduja was very sparingly applied (the last time I had this pizza it was lavished with the stuff), so I left somewhat unfulfilled to be honest. 99/100 I really end up raving about the place and want to go back for more. I did make the waiter aware when he asked if there was anything they could have done better but he seemingly shrugged it off and just brought the bill. Shame really. There a lot of good pizza places in the centre and south Brum now and no longer being exceptional could be a problem for them.

We were seated in an area at the back of the restaurant and definitely felt like second class citizens. Pizza was OK, but undercooked. Surprised there was no mixed salad or any “green” side. When we left the main restaurant area was nearly empty and the staff were sitting around and ignored us. My daughter assured me it’s usually better. Let’s hope so.

Firstly I must point of JOE is the best worker I've ever spoke to, he was very polite extremely helpful and quick to sort anything i need on the phone or not definitely coming back here let alone the food but service with over and more

This place is a little hidden gem. Such a beautiful place. When you walk in you think it's small, then you go outside to the garden. They are so attentive to detail, the pizza's are just spectacular, great beer and excellent service. Price wise you can't complain neither. This is definitely my to go to place for meal out. Absolutely love it

Excellent pizza, great choice and perfectly stone baked. The only thing is, I asked for some mayo.. and they were going to charge me £2.50 for the pleasure of a squirt of mayo.. I declined that offer! Other than that, top pizza place!

Awesome pizza as always & I still love the place, but the service is consistently useless. Keep hoping it’ll improve but unfortunately it does not! No matter how clear you are with your order & how many times the server reads it back it still goes all to hell. Then when you make it clear things are not going well nothing much changes. Drinks failed to arrive until they’ve been chased several times, olives never arrived at all but were still charged for, clearly the additional pizza toppings hadn’t been added but they tried to stumble through that one before basically admitting the order has been ignored & they don’t really know what pizzas they’ve brought us. As per usual fries arrived way before the pizza even though we’d requested we were sick of that happening & please don’t allow it to happen again. I can go on… Great pizza but overhaul experience has become a shambles.

Ordered takeaway that took an hour and a half to arrive. Their online order said the pizza was on out for delivery but when I rung the pizza hadn't even been put in the oven. Feels dishonest. Not good enough. Great food but poor service...

I've been here a few times, but it's been a long time since I was here. The pizzas are still as amazing as they were when I visited before! Service seemed friendly. With it being lunch, it didn't feel overly busy, and so our drinks and food arrived swiftly. We all had pizza and were very happy with them! It's one of the best pizza places around. Would happily visit again!

We had a delivery from Alicias. Firstly, the delivery was very quick and the food was piping hot. The man who delivered the pizzas was really friendly. Our food was delicious. All the ingredients were clearly good quality and exactly as described. We'll definitely order again :-)

Totally blown away the quality of the food. Amazing. Really lovely atmosphere and great service. We had a cheese ball starter that was fantastic- so tasty and creamy. Pizzas were hot, super fresh and obviously made with skill and attention to good ingredients. Will definitely come again. Booking essential.

The food was very good the service a little slow the young staff seem to not know what they was doing.good value for money but got the bill wrong charged me for kids pizza that is free.just wished the staff were more attentive.

A really mixed experience. We visited on a relatively busy Saturday night and the service was abysmal, with a 15-20 min wait to even order a drink after being seated. Once ordered, the food took a while to arrive, but was brilliant when it eventually did.

Some of the best pizza in Birmingham.

The best wood fired pizza in the nicest of envirinments for dining. Their dining area out back has a wood burner that makes the air temperature feel like you are in the Mediteranean. Like your on holiday eating authentic pizza. I had the Noci pizza, which had the most beautiful tasting gorgonzola on it with walnuts and caramilised onions. Eaten here loads never lets me down.

I cannot recommend enough! Straight away greeted by a friendly face and staff were attentive throughout. A personal level of service which we like, we spent some time chatting to our waitress between courses. We had arancini and burrata to start, then pizza to follow with blue cheese sauce. My partner is adamant that it is the best pizza he’s ever had and I would agree. A great experience, fair price and a wonderful atmosphere!

Service in restaurants is sometimes tricky to get right. One person's attentiveness is another person's overbearing. However, whilst the food in Alicia's is really great, the service is a problem. It's not unfriendly or surly, but unfortunately it's haphazard, slow, and noticeably bad. And to a certain extent it impacted our night out. A long wait to order drinks, food arriving before drinks, plates not being cleared before mains, cutlery coming half way through mains (we ended up stealing it from other tables). I think the staff just need a bit more training. The food though is fantastic. Lovely garlic bread with dips to start, good burrata, and fantastic pizzas.

Wow, this was likely the best pizza I have had in 10 years living in the UK. Definitely best in Birmingham. Great service and some nice breweries around to complement the night!

What a gem of a place to eat! I went here with my partner and the food was sublime! Both our pizzas were incredible, as was the aruncini and the cannoli we had to round off the meal. We will most definitely be returning! It is recommended you book in advance and it's not the biggest place and very busy!

Pizza is great, but please do something for the delivery app. The delivery is never on time, with delays sometimes of more than 30 minutes, and the information provided are not reliable. The unreliability of the app sometimes really puts you off from ordering from you.

Love the pizza dough at Alicia’s! A good range for vegetarians. Draught beer an added bonus. We have been many times as a couple, with friends & family perfect for any occasion.

I honestly love this place. In a very crowded market for pizza places, Alicia's stands out above the others. Their attention to the base really makes the difference. Perfect tomato and cheese below amazing toppings.

The pizza is amazing, the staff are super friendly and it's a cozy venue. Every aspect of my spicy meat pizza was perfect - the dough was delicious, the toppings had a lot of flavour and the size was just right. I paid about £13 or £14 for my pizza and the quality absolutely justifies the price.

Pizza here comes from a pizza oven and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend it, the atmosphere was good and the staff inside were welcoming and friendly.

I really wanted to love Alicia’s as I heard so many positive things about this place but unfortunately it just didn’t live up to what I was expecting. The main reason why I was extremely disappointed was the service. Our table and the table next to us just got completely forgotten about the whole evening. We had missing items that we’d ordered, so we had to go and find a sever to ask as there wasn’t a server in sight, the wait for food was extremely long, the table just didn’t get cleared after having starters so there was just empty plates and glasses, just overall terrible service. I felt even more sorry for the table next to us as they had completely forgot their order and had to reorder again! The food itself was good and the arancini balls were probably the highlight of the night. Overall I think service is just as important as the food and they both have to be on par with each other to make a place great and Alicia’s service just didn’t do it justice.

Used to love Alicia's but had a bad experience recently. Was left waiting for a long time with no service - eventually left without even ordering drinks.

Delicious food, tall dark haired waitress- didn’t catch her name- was absolutely lovely and welcoming and recommended the best vegetarian options on the menu. Wait time could’ve been quicker but is understandable as the pizzas are made and cooked fresh- worth the wait.

I dropped by on the off chance as pass by frequently. Was a lone diner 😔 . Was welcomed by the outgoing hostess and seated adequately. Am aware they have seating upstairs and marquee covered seating at the back for large groups so there is far more than what you see passing by. Anyway, I stuck with my basics for any pizza; meat peppers plus anything else that comes standard. I didn't think I would finish but persevered! Traditional stone baked. Well deserved. Staff kept an eye on me and even had a quick hello with the Owner which was a nice touch. Go again.

Really cool spot for any pizza lover. It looks small when you walk in but its actually quite big with an upstairs area and a laid back garden dining area. The pizza is nice and fresh and tasts great perfect for a couple or a few friends.

Fantastic - great food, lovely atmosphere, good service.

The food is fantastic and the best choice of pizza in B29/B30/B31. Highly recommend ordering to collect or for delivery, which is really quick. Recommend the garlic bread and the tricolore on a red base. When eating in, service takes a while and we’ve had to remind them about missing items, and someone who appeared to be fairly new was being shouted at out of the kitchen. Although the staff are nice, it takes the shine off what could be a great meal out.

Nice place in Stirchley. Staff were friendly. The food was delicious but I think the veg could have been cooked a bit longer.

Extremely cocky and rude manager/ owner. Lack of basic customer service. Accused us of just wanting money off our bill and said that we must do that at a lot of places. I have never been spoken to so rudely. Waited for over an hour for pizzas with no communication from staff. Margherita was then missing basil (one of 3 toppings so is quite important) Garlic bread never arrived. Salad was brought out without cutlery or plates and just left in the middle of the table for 15 minutes before the rest of the food came and cutlery came. The errors with the food and the slow service could have been accepted as these things happen, however, when we asked to speak to the manager he was extremely rude and arrogant. Honestly have never been spoken to like and think some basic training on manners for the manager is needed.

Lovely pizza. Really lovely base and authentic toppings. The Bambino deal where the kids eat free is very good value.

Every day I'm not eating at Alicia's I wish I was. The bread, the toppings the atmosphere, everything is perfect. Genuinely my favourite pizza in the world is their noci, I am always craving it. The vegetarians options are great. Not to mention it's so fairly priced 100/10 recommend.

It was very easy to book from their website. We had delicious different range of pizzas from vegetarian to spicy meat. Overall it was a nice experience. They have various local ales available. My favourite one was Atticbrew’s IPA. The service was quite slow. We wait probably around 1 hour for our Pizzas.

Always great food an excellent service dining there! The new rooms at the top are lovely to sit in and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

I tried the place for the first time yesterday in my company's team dinner. Really cosy and friendly place. I ordered Napolitana pizza (with anchovies) and it was amazing. Very tasty and very authentic. The team was very active and friendly and were striving to make us comfortable. The service was also pretty fast even though we ordered around 20 pizzas. Parking was also pretty easy in any of the side roads around the area. The only area of improvement / suggestion is to keep a few powerful fans ready for use, because with the current heat waves the place becomes so hot which would make you feel uncomfortable. I am definitely planning to go there again with my family and friends.

Food was incredible, and the atmosphere was really nice. Staff were also friendly, however service was really slow! Quite a few things needed following up on as they had been forgotten and when we arrived it took almost an hour and 3 follow ups to get my drink, in the end I just went to the kitchen to collect it myself.

The food is lovely but service is very slow and inattentive. We waited for a very long period to simply order. When food arrived there were several items missing and they had to be cooked so we then received them well into our meal. No real apologies made, no staff to check if we needed anything/ meal was ok - had to seek someone out every time. The environment was so noisy, I couldn’t hear the people sitting across from me at our table. Such a shame as food is lovely.

After waiting 50 minutes from putting an order in - in an empty restaurant at lunchtime - got told pizzas are going into the oven now Don't go unless you have a LOT of time to waste

Made my first order today. Overall - everything is very delicious, and finally I know where to get a really tasty pizza on my favourite kind of dough! The only concern is the fact that I've ordered pizza Portobello Pizze that already is supposed to have mozzarella, mushrooms and ham, and I got additional same toppings, so the amount of all toppings is supposed to be double. However, it doesn't really look like doubled toppings, rather like single ones, you may see it in the photo. Everything else: Melanzane alla Parmigiana and Olives were great, thanks. And the delivery was quick and smooth.

Amazing gem of a place! Beautiful food, freshly cooked to perfection. Lovely helpful staff, vegetarian & vegan choices. We had 3 pizzas 2 veggie, 1 vegan, all very different, best I've eaten! Good drinks menu too, we had 2 cocktails and a soft drink- all fabulously presented, definitely be back!
