Absolutely amazing food, friendly and quick service, lovely ambience! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown to a table, drinks were brought very quickly and when starters arrived we were offered sharing plates. The staff checked in with us and made sure we were happy, and we never had to wait, even though the restaurant was very busy on a Friday night. We had the garlic bread starter which came with chopped olives, a really good pairing and not something I’ve seen before. Then for mains we had a spicy meat pizza and a creamy cheesy spinach and walnut gnocchi. They were both so so good!

Very quiet place, but the food is AMAZING! Great gluten-free options, and staff are very helpful. Quick service, and hot tasty food. Little bit expensive, but the food is worth it.

We did the company lunch at De Villaggio and from the booking to having the lunch was perfect. Alex guided us me during the booking process and he made sure everything was ready on the day. Ifi was on the service was really nice and answered all the questions we had and made sure we were happy during our time. We wish we could stay a bit longer because the food was delicious and the service as well.

I delivered carbonara, which I thought would be an authentic egg yolk carbonara, but had so much creme. Wouldn’t get carbonara again from this place.

We were walking on broad street and saw the sign for the lunch offer and got intrigued so we went inside and enjoyed it very much! Great prices and great service by young lady Ifi! Since we got a 3 course menu for only 22.95 we decided to order some wine and cocktails too! Our meal was totally worth it! We will be back

We booked a table to celebrate my friends birthday on lunch time! It was the two of us we had a beautiful table by the window and we were served by sweet and kind Ifi! The food was exceptional, we ordered the Lasagne and finished our meal with Tiramisu and chocolate ice cream! Thank you Del Villagio, we had a nice time!!

A great find! A superb restaurant, walking distance out of the city centre. Great menu choices. Cannot fault the tasty food, service and the calm, easy vibe of the place. Thank you to George our server who looked after us very well indeed.

We went for dinner here before Pat Metheny's gig at the Symphony Hall. Each had a starter, main and dessert. Everything was delicious! The service was perfect- attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Even on a less busy weekday evening, it was a really nice atmosphere to be in. We would go back when next in Birmingham and really recommend.

Came here with the Mrs for her birthday the best Italian food I've had, service was 10/10 could not have been better. Will be returning soon.

I love this restaurant. I go here frequently whenever I am working in Birmingham which is quite often. I am gluten-free and there are many options for pasta, pizza, fish and meat based dishes. Their garlic bread with olive tapenade is delicious! I really miss a good garlic bread being GF so I always get that. The seafood pasta is amazing and they’re really generous with the seafood. The service is really good. George, Emilie, Horma, Rosa, Maurice and Niki all go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I sometime go alone too if I’m having a working/studying dinner and I don’t mind because everyone is so friendly. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. As I said, as a GF person it can be difficult to eat out and I often feel like I miss out. Not here! Enjoy!

Went in for dinner alone, staff were welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed a tricolor starter with what tasted like a homemade pesto, delicious. Then had salmon on a bed of spinach in lemon sauce. Perfectly cooked really fabulous sauce, flavour balance perfect. Very good value and large portions.

Booked this restaurant based on the high ratings overall. Whilst our experience was overall positive - nice atmosphere, friendly staff - we had a lovely chat with Maurice, and a good location. The portions of food are very generous but it’s not the best Italian I’ve had, however the prices also reflect that it’s not a premium eatery.

It was not my first visit to this authentic restaurant situated at the top of Broad Street near five ways island. It never fails to impress me with beautiful fresh, tasty food served and presented with such care and love. Understated Restaurant with two levels with warm, friendly and helpful staff. Alex was attentive, friendly and very helpful and our service was not rushed or inhibited by time. We loved the bread with olives and warm olive oil displaying the variety of breads available. The main course was penned with delicious chicken in a white creamy sauce finished off by a mouth watering cheesecake with profiteroles. Thank you to the team for making it a memorable experience. We will of course be back to try more dishes and enjoy the very pleasant service. Well done DEL VILLAGIO! 👏 👏

Priced at half of what you'd pay in the best parts of London but at the same quality (it reminds me of Anacapri). I go here a few times a week even without company, because the food is of that high a quality. I really did not expect to find somewhere like this in the city. Big portions (including meat), totally untouched by the modern shrinkflation trend. All of the dishes feel home-made and luxuriously rustic; I think that their main produce sources are farmers' markets and Italian suppliers. Thanks to Huma, George, Rosa, and Emeli for reliable service and extra grated parmesan.

We visited just before a concert and we had an amazing experience. The food was exceptional along with outstanding service from Emilie, Homa and George. We had various dietary requirements and this was handled with ease. A special thank you to the manager who came over and was very accommodating. Some of the best Italian food we have had. Very nice restaurant and excellent welcoming service from the team. Menu has lots of varieties. Bread was hot and delicious with the tomato and basil. The chkn breast with the lemon sauce was a bit hard and thick but sauce tasted excellent. Suspect the tramisu had alcohol but wasn't told about it. Lasagne portion was a bit on small size.

We took a very large party and most the food arrived on time, there were a couple of mistakes and a missing order. Things like the childrens orders been first would have helped. Drinks were pricy but the food was OK value.

Starters came out and it looked and taste really good. But when it came to our mains the Food was really oily and the oil was dripping off our forks making it for us not to eat, so we didnt finish. Honestly the food wasn't great. but the service was lovely !

My friend and I were served by Ely and everything was super. Food great but such large portions we both needed doggy bags. We had the set meal. The choices suited us both just disappointed I had no room for the tiramisu.

I was so impressed, the food is absolutely amazing, so fresh and tasty, excellent service and atmosphere, the restaurant is really lovely, very clean and comfortable and I’m definitely going again but taking the whole family. Food was excellent, huge portions, very fresh and tasty! Service was a little slow initially taking our order (but our food came out super quick) and not overly friendly but overall a good visit and would go again.

We will definitely be returning! Our waiter Diego-George Benny was wonderful, very friendly and offered recommendations. the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and presented. Then the food and wine, simply wow! We shared the garlic bread, my partner had the calzone and I opted for the pesto pasta, none of which disappointed! The house white was recommended and we were very happy with that too.

Having looked for different Italian restaurants, I thought I’d give Del Villagio a go, and was massively impressed with the experience I received coming here. The staff were rly friendly (the ones i was served by was George and Alex) and after finding it hard to choose a cocktail to have, i saw there was a Wait and See, and the barman Souroush made one that hit the mark for me with it (was later explained that a Wait and See is a completely random one for different customers literally you wait and see what you get). Tried the ham and mushroom calzone and was cooked to perfection, dough was soft to bite into and good portion on the filling. Highly recommend to anyone.

Unbelievable. I came over cause I heard that guys has nice GF menu. I told a waitress in a beginning I would like please for gluten free menu. She showed me an option of Polo Pizza. I asked again is that pizza is gluten free and she agree that. I get a pizza. After take a slice I realised something is wrong and stop eating. I call her again and ask “Are You sure this is gluten free ?. She answerd “You did no mention You need a gluten free pizza. you just asked about a tiramisu”. I have been shocked, paid for all and left this place. Do You mind me or someone else could have allergy on a peanuts and Your staff did not understood mentions ? Cross my fingers that gonna be change and staff get proper training about that. Regards

I passed Del Villaggio and went in as it looked nice. Alex, Rosa and Benedetta gave me a heartfelt welcome. I ordered 2 dishes and a glass of red wine as recommended and went home very satisfied. Will def go back :)

I read the reviews before going and the place didn't disappoint. The service by Gabby and team was spot on and we had the set course menu. The portions were great size and very filling. The starters were garlic mushrooms and calamari. The Mrs had rib eye steak and I had sea bass for mains. I forced a dessert in (for my followers obviously). It is the nicest tiramisu I've ever had and the lady fingers inside just popped with coffee liquor. The cocktails here are amazing and well worth the money. We shall return next time we are in Birmingham :-)

Good mixed meat starter to share. The carbonara was spaghetti swimming in a sea of raw egg yolk at the bottom of the dish - no care taken at all. The tiramisu was just on but flavourless and bland - a very disappointing experience! Will not be back.
