Amazing🔥🔥. The steak is the best I’ve ever tasted, better than Miller & Carter. Service was A*. Friendly. Nice little restaurant. Will definitely be returning.

We have been going here for over 5 years and have always found it to be great, but this time it was very poor. Table booked via website even asks if it's for a special occasion. I'm not sure why because they seem not to be interested if it is as we had selected the anniversary and nothing was mentioned. When we walked in, we were asked if we had a reservation and then told we could pick our table. The restaurant was not busy at this point. So we had a decent choice of the 2 cover tables. Our order was taken, and I had requested a tagliatelle carbonara but asked for it not to have too much sauce in it if possible. My starter came, and the wifes starter took a good few minutes to follow. There was no offer of pepper or parmesan cheese or even a spoon with the pasta. Within about 2 forks worth, it was clear the pasta was greasy to the point that if I angled the bowl, the oil ran over the other side. There was no sauce at all to the dish. I opted to stop eating it at that point, and when we finally got noticed we had finished and the plates were being taken away, I mentioned the issue as we had not been asked if everything was OK. The young lady said she would mention it to the chef but never came back to me. The main course was the pollo with asparagus with a delecate blend of cream and lemon. I think that's how it is worded on the menu. Well, the delicate blend had got blown out the window. The sauce was about 10 seconds away from splitting, and it had started to split. The asparagus had no taste apart from lemon . Why was that much lemon applied to a delicate flavour is questionable. The laugh was then my wife being offered the pepper and cheese to go with her pasta main course. The meal overall was not what we have ever had in the restaurant, the service was poor. we never got asked if everything was OK or if we wanted more drinks at any point. I'm not sure if the front of house staff were inexperienced or if it's just the standards of service that are that bad. Not 100% sure seeing one of the girls in legging trainers and a top that showed off her midriff was part of the dining experience. Again once I was able to get somones attention I asked for the bill, got to say bit of a surprise to see the pasta starter on the bill, the restaurant was busy and I was not going to make a fuss as you can hear the next tables conversation and I did not want to spoil someone's night out. I have over 15 years experience in running restaurants, both high volume and high end, but what I saw on our trip was poor. Nothing against the front of house staff as if that's how they are left to do things they will do it. I'm not sure if you have changed chefs, or I was just the unlucky one, but overall, it's not a night I would be singing about from the rooftops.

Lovely Mediterranean bistro. Linen tablecloths and napkins, fabulous menu, reasonably priced. Great service and welcome. Been coming here regularly over twenty years, never had a bad meal, always delicious. King prawns are delicious. Pepper steak, avocado and feta salad and spaghetti Bolognese are my favourites but everything is good.

My grandaughter and I arrived early for supper after an afternoon theatre trip but we were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. New Years Eve and very quickly the restaurant was packed. The food,as always,was delicious,authentic and a delight. The staff are so lovely...attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was up lifting and,on such an optimistic night,heart warming. We left to a chorus of 'Happy New Year' from everyone in the restaurant....staff and diners...all strangers but all full of the happiness this place engenders.

First of, the delivery time was not at all the fault of casa italia, casa italia themselves were very helpful, cooperative and tried their best to help me with my order despite the horrendous service by the first delivery driver assigned to my order (driver was justeats, independant from casa italia) and once the food finally arrived, it was amazing, fantastic quality and i was pleasantly surprised by complementary drinks as well. Will definitely be ordering from here again🙏🙏

Good customer experience, the restaurant was busy. The only issue is lack of floor space. Food quality was good . Staff very pleasant.

How it got 4.6 stars really confuses me . Pasta tasted like fast food and the calamari is fake. I looked into it and it’s just some white fish paste.

First visit tonight. Could not fault Casa Italia. Food in particular was superb.

First time ordering. I ordered veg pizza, garlic bread and a dessert. Pizza and Garlic bread all cold on arrival. Both bases were incredibly thin, neither was cut into easy pieces, there was hardly any dough- bases looked like cardboard. It's a shame, because the taste of both was actually nice. But you could tell there was no care about how the food was being sent out to a customer. Definitely not worth £37.00. Driver was decent and friendly enough, no issues there.

Wow. Amazing authentic food, good price, kind and welcoming staff. Quick service. Realised we were not drinking alcohol and gave us free chocolate milk drinks instead. Underrated place, would travel here rather than anywhere else in town.

best pizza I've had since I moved to England 8 years ago it's proper pizza 💯

We were in Birmingham for several days and came across this restaurant on the first evening. We know Italian food and here the food was really good, perhaps a little adapted to English tastes. Mrs. Giuliana was incredibly kind and helpful. In the following days, we tried several Italian restaurants, but the food at Casa Italiia came closest to real Italian cuisine. That's why we came back for dinner. Bravo e arrivederci!!!

Casa Italia gives a lovely warm ambience the moment you step in, It’s not a big restaurant but is kept tidy, with a classy vibe which provides for multiple occasions from date nights to family dinner. Friendly service and great food as well, with variety of options on the menu. They also do a great deal for a 2-course meal only for £16.95 from Monday to Thursday. Would definitely return to try out the other dishes!

Another lovely evening out here. Very consistent, and we particularly enjoyed the salmon, bolognese and the best garlic bread going! A very welcoming and friendly place!

Spaghetti "Bland-le Polpette" - A Microwaved addition. Embarked on a culinary journey with the spaghetti alle polpette, only to discover it was more of a flavorless expedition. The tomato sauce played hide-and-seek, leaving the dish drier than a desert. The meatballs, seemingly reheated in the microwave, gave the texture of rubber and the taste of nothingness. If I wanted a bland adventure, I'd have stuck with plain noodles. Here's hoping the chef finds the sauce and a better way to warm things up in the kitchen! charging ridiculous prices for food quality.

Amazing been 10 times and not had a bad experience or fault with any of the food

Waiting staff were great and three meals were fine but the beef filleto was terrible. As soon as it was served, no aroma and taste of cheap meat. Not enjoyable at all.

Haven't been here in a very long time during which time ownership has changed a number of times . Got to say that tge return visit was like the good old days. Lovely front of house staff, friendly, informative and attentative. Food was delicious and overall experience was great. My son described the pizza as the best he had ever eaten (and he's eaten a lot(. Will definitely be returning.

The bruschetta romana was delicious. The spaghetti Bolognese wasn't as tasty as it has been previously but it was a generous portion.

We come here once a year for our anniversary and it is honestly the best food I have all year. The salmon is so good and my husband loves the steak. Everyone is so friendly and warm, it feels like we are visiting friends. I cannot recommend enough!

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and very friendly staff, would absolutely go back for a meal. For our larger group the timing of serving each course didn’t always work out which impacted somewhat on the experience, especially as we had pre-ordered almost everything as requested. Staff were very understanding but communication should have been clearer.

Total fiasco poor service and prolonged waits even worse when ordered in advance best advice is either go hungry or find somewhere much better probably have better luck just rummaging through the local bins very disappointing and extremely unhappy

Food was tasty. However, a few tomatoes, olives and slices of red onion are highly priced for what you actually get.

Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere, garlic prawns and the prawn risotto in particular are to die for. Will definitely be returning.

Had a beautiful meal, the service for the starter and main was great, menus were given to us to order dessert but had to wait 20 mins for them to take our order, asked for the bill and this took a further 15 mins and with us asking again for it. The food is amazing and fresh, the fillet steak was cooked to perfection, I would recommend to dine here.

First time coming to this restaurant and won't be the last. Place is small but very nice and clean. Staff are very good and It's a family run restaurant. atmosphere is romantic with the old school classics playing on the speaker. There is a small wait in-between courses but it's worth the wait. I ordered calamari as a starter and my wife picked brushetta, both starts are very good and very nice presented, as a mains we picked chicken breast in a creamy sauce with a potatoes and salad on the side. My wife had the fillet steak with gorgonzola. Overall very great experience.

My first Italian restaurant and boy it was special. I started with the brocoli to start... I simply didn't want it to end! We also ordered a bottle of white wine that was on offer and it was stunning. Fruity to start and dry after taste. I had the casa italia pasta dish having spinach and ricotta. To finish I had the ameretto desert. I could have cried it was genuinly the most flavoursome desert I have ever had. What a special sweet and quaint environment. The music really sets the mood and the staff absolutly treat you like family. I really would recommend here, such a special find. Thank you

Lovely hidden gem in Bearwood, great food, lovely staff and reasonably priced. Homemade Tiramisu. Forget the Italian chain restaurants come to Casa Italia and put some money into a local business instead.

Delicious pastas. The garlic bread was a bit disappointing this time around as it didn’t have as much garlic on as it has done previously. Enjoyed the meal though. Highly recommend this place.

My Fiancé and I visited Casa Italia today for the very first time. We were pleasantly surprised how brilliant the food, service and staff were. Huge thank you to Julia who looked after us tremendously! Her friendly and warm manner made us feel so happy and we cannot wait to return.

This is without doubt our favourite restaurant. We visited again last night and was shown our seats and offered drinks within a couple of minutes. The service has always been good, and although they were very busy last night (Valentines Day).both service and food was first class. They offer a great menu, however we always opt for the Steak Special. AMAZING ! See you again soon !

Always great food ,excellent friendly staff. Lots of choice of starters ,mains & desserts ,if you're not too full . Food is always freshly prepared, plentiful & presented well. They are always attentive without being pushy & never make you feel hurried to leave. Food is excellent value for money and it's why we always return .

I went here with some friends to celebrate our May birthdays. It isn't a big place and it is quite cosy. The toilets are upstairs (not sure about a disabled toilet). The food is fantastic and you get decent portions 😋 and the staff are really lovely. It's not too expensive really either. I recommend it.

The worst pizza I have ever had base like cardboard and on the point of being burnt ate one slice the rest went in the bin base was shop brought like a cheap supermarket pizza very disgusting

Always a fantastic meal with great service

First visit last Friday. Fabulous food and service. We were so well looked after and will return.

I ordered the Beef Stroganoff as its a dish I love. The menu said it was made with fillet of beef, cream & paprika which is normal for Beef Stroganoff. I was really surprised when the dish came and it was chocolate brown and tasted more like a beef stew. I didn't complain as the dish was OK and we were out with family and I didn't want to spoil the night. They also have a 10% charge no matter how small the group. I always tip good service but prefer to decide how much on the night. Shame really but I will not be visiting again

The service was nice enough but unfortunately the food was tinned/frozen and it was obvious. Mushroom starter was made from tinned mushrooms, with the bread being the sort you buy frozen and then heat up. The chicken in my dish was again reheated from frozen, not fresh. I have eaten at many Italian restaurants and this has got to have been one of the worst examples of Italian food I have ever had. I can see other reviews saying the same about the food being tinned and frozen. Such a shame as most Italian dishes are actually very easy to cook and taste delicious if the ingredients are fresh.

What a hidden gem. If you want to experience good Italian cuisine this is a lovely place to go. Customer service was jovial food was brilliant really enjoyed it. It is the second time I have been and I will definitely visit again when I am in Birmingham. Fantastic Casa Italia give yourself a pat on the back 👍👍👍Italy 🇮🇹

My favourite of all the restaurants I have visited in the world and I am so blessed it is 10 minutes from my house. Beautiful food, lots of choice, authentic Italian and great service. Garlic bread and filleto fungi are my faves.

Lovely restaurant with very attentive staff and a great wide ranging menu. We shared olives and the goujons of lemon sole. We both went for seafood. My wife with spaghetti and mine in a risotto. Both were delicious with a mixed salad to share. We enjoyed the white wine of the month which was very reasonably priced and went well with our 2 meals. Our water jug was immediately replaced as soon as it was becoming empty. Coffee rounded off a perfect evening for us both. We will certainly return on any future visits to Birmingham.

This review isnt written lightly, we've been coming here for nearly 10 years, for dates, birthdays and special days. This birthday was properly the worse. On the back of menu it says there's a service charge, but on none of the 5 calls, the whole 4 hours we were there were we told until the bill came and people started working their food and drinks out. Being party leader I spent nearly 100 pounds in service charges because I was told after people left. A shame 😔 as always loved this place but we will have to find a new place to host us from now on

We visited Birmingham for a concert so I just looked up somewhere to eat near our hotel and found Casa Italia , what a find ! Inside was nicely presented and clean. There was a very good choice of options on the menu. The service was excellent as was the food. I would highly recommend it to anyone. We asked the waitress if she knew a taxi number we could ring and she offered to just book us a taxi which was really good customer service. Later that night we realised we had left an item of clothing and would not be able to go back during opening hours. We contacted Casa Italia who kindly posted it back to us, again excellent customer service and something they didn’t have to do. Really good value, 3 courses for 2 with drinks for £67 Thank you so much for a lovely meal and all the help. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

There were 18 of us, so to speed things up we pre ordered. What lovely, friendly staff! They could not do enough for us. The food was really, really delicious with excellent sizeed portions. We will definitely be going back!!

Fantastic place, thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Everything we had was flavoursome, served hot and fresh... had absolutely no complaints. Service was second to none, very friendly and went above and beyond to meet our dietary requirements. One to save on the favourites list.

Good food served by a great team. The warm service is felt from the moment you walk in. Menu has lots of good options. The food was served quite quickly and we never felt we were waiting for long. Table setting was nicely laid out, clean and well thought out. Would definitely visit again to try out more options from the menu.

We popped in to Casa Italia for a meal having not visited for years. The garlic bread was just as good as in the past and our mains were OK too. Lovely friendly service but it took ages to get our meals.
