To be honest, I was on my way to a very different establishment today. I just got the wrong address... But I didn't regret it at all. On the contrary. Just a wonderful place with excellent, helpful staff and very tasty dludes. My wife and I are very satisfied

Great food, great service - nothing else to say! Nice outdoor seating on the street, and never had to wait longer than a minute to be seen. The trio of pasta was great! Recommend

I celebrated my birthday at Cucina Rustica with a friend, and I thoroughly enjoyed all three courses. The chef's versatility in meeting dietary requirements was greatly appreciated. The attention to detail and the customer service is excellent. I would recommend this restaurant!

We were visiting from London and googled searched nearest Italian, this happened to be 4mins walk from our hotel so we gave it a try. The staff were friendly, the food was great and most importantly our 1 year old son was very happy with his fish nugget meal. Will defo visit again next time we are in Birmingham

Lovely first visit to Cucina Rustica, pretty decor and good seating inside and out. It was the perfect location from the Travelodge on Charlotte St where friends were staying. The staff were accommodating and moved us to an area with greater light for someone with sight issues. We all went the double starter route and the aubergine parmigiana was delicious.

you have to try the mushroom Risotto! it’s the best i’ve ever had. i also tried the pizza and it was delicious, the pasta on the other hand wasn’t entirely my favorite. the staff is so nice and the whole atmosphere is wonderful. i’m truly sad i didn’t get to try the crème brûlée since it had alcohol but i hope one day they make a non alcoholic one!

Lovely food in a lovely setting

I ordered the crab filled ravioli which I expected to be filled with crab meat but was very dissapointed It was filled with what tasted like a crab/cheese type paste & was covered in so much tomato sauce the taste was completely lost The clams were also chewy £19 I thought expensive for 3 raviolis in tomato sauce Dissapointing

Excellent Italian restaurant with good prices and hearty portions. Satisfactory variety of Italian wines, since when a shop has many labels I end up getting confused. Properly cooked spaghetti, which, while the portions were large, neither bloated us nor weighed us down, which often happens in various restaurants. The staff is very kind and caring. I would suggest making a reservation before you go. It also has tables outside. The interior was beautifully decorated and clean, however we would have preferred it a little brighter. 100% worth a visit.

Lovely Italian restaurant slightly out of the city centre. Nothing very exciting in the menu, but well cooked and presented. Delicious house Primitivo red wine. Reasonable prices.

We had a fantastic dining experience, thanks to our waitress, Alexandra. She was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. Her service has been super fast and were spot-on, and she made sure we had everything we needed. The food tasted okay and was at an acceptable level, but what truly stood out was Alexandra's exceptional service. She made our visit memorable. Highly recommend!

This is my second time here first time I came here was over 3 years ago. Came here 20th June 2024 to celebrate my daughters 25 no complaints treated us great from start to finish. Staff very polite and approachable. Food delicious fresh. Also kid friendly. Will return again.

Our first time visiting and we were very impressed! Our meals came quickly, and was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing and the portion sizes were great! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

Victor gave us the best possible service! He checked up on us regularly and was so sweet. The food was absolutely delicious! We had minestrone soup, caprese, and a seafood linguini. Could not recommend this place more!

We had a 6.30 in a sat evening 4 of us . Pleasant table in the window in a nice area of bham . Great attentive but not over the top service . Excellent choice on a varied menu of food and wine . 3 courses each with wine and coffee and under £200 was for me good value . Nice people nice atmosphere great food , not pretentious just right !! Would highly recommend .

I booked this place as a gorgeous looking Italian restaurant to surprise my girlfriend for her birthday and I was not disappointed! The decor of the place was absolutely stunning and lively and we sat in a lovely corner of the restaurant overlooking all of the sights from where we were sitting. We started off with the calamari, crispy and delicious, served with a beautiful tatar that looked homemade, we were pleasantly surprised as it exceeded our expectations. My partner and I love seafood and we were absolutely blown away by the sheer quality, presentation, temperature and taste of the meals we ordered. They tasted fresh and the flavour really set us up for an evening around Birmingham. It's an absolutely fantastic place to eat, would most definitely recommend it to anyone! But also, definitely book your table! As it does get quite busy and lively.

Such a lovely location, especially for birmingham. The food was absolutely phenomenal I had the lasagna, this was perfect, I then had crepes for dessert and it was incredible, plenty of nutella in the crepes- did not mess around. My partner had pizza, i tried some and it was lovely. We shared a mozzarella garlic bread and it was just what you want in a garlic bread, should’ve had one each. Everything is presented nicely and the servers were brilliant, customer service was amazing. Worth every penny.

Went here for a date night after reading all the positive reviews.... We started with calamari which was actually delicious 😋....we've had calamari in many different places and it was yummy!! We had drinks etc which were fine. But then we ordered the main.... We had the sea bass with spaghetti and the beef stroganoff, I have to say it was very basic food in my view, the space Spaghetti was cooked well but very oily and quite bland. Definitely needs more flavour, the beef stroganoff was 'meh' the beef strips were the only redeeming factor in that dish, great beef. We didn't even finish our food, so yh it wasn't what we expected at all especially with all these reviews about 'feels like being in Italy ' is definitely NOT what was going though my mind. This is my personal option and experience of this place so try it for yourself you might just love it! But I'll pass, especially since the food is so pricey, it was not worth it for us!

Travelled to Birmingham for a concert at the Atilta Arena and stayed in the Ibis, not being familiar with the City we picked Cucina Rustica as it was less than a 5min walk. It didn't disappoint, beautiful food and stunning service.

Gorgeous authentic Italian with superb food and wine!

Went yesterday for lunch with my partner and we really enjoyed the food !! Lasagna tasted just like the one you find in Italy. The service was amazing as well. It was my boyfriend birthday and they brought him a birthday tiramisu with a candle on ,which was really sweet of them ! Will definitely be back !

Great italian restaurant in the jewellery quarter. An easy stroll from the centre. There was plenty of choice, and the food was well cooked and hot. Good gluten-free and veggie options. Efficient, pleasant staff. All the hard surfaces make the noise resonate a little.

It's always a gamble ordering mussels, especially if you're not in a seaside town. But mine were absolutely perfect! All the food/wine was delicious, and our waiter Alex was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be visiting again.

We booked a table for 6pm on a Saturday. The service and food were 👌🏿✨ I ordered an 8oz steak 🥩 medium rare 😋 I must mention that I was VERY pleased with the service the staff provided. I had a question about one of the options on the dessert menu & the waiter bought me a sample to help me make my decision. I would definitely come back here, there is a decent crowd here & good people (other customers)

Absolutely beautiful food and brilliant service.

Absolutely perfect. Staff were very attentive. Food was delicious. The chairs were super comfy. Lovely patrons. They were super accommodating for my allergy (a tomato allergy), and there were plenty of vegetarian options. Extensive wine menu, but there were only two Rosé options. The menu was easy to read, and all dishes were customisable. The desserts on offer all sounded amazing, I went for the Creme Brûlée and it was genuinely unreal. Was able to park right outside the restaurant in a council-run bay. It's a great place to go with your girls or on a first-date. Or in my case, with your best friend! All round, great. Can't wait to go back!

Disappointed in my last visit. Usually the food is amazing buy the risotto on my last visit n 2.3.24 was loaded with salt. I couldn't eat it. Shame as its usually a great place to eat.

Stunning restaurant, elegantly decorated, a real jewel. My risotto was the best I've had! Piping hot, the way I like it. Bread was amazing 👏 unfortunately the pavlova didn't look like it was made in house. Very mass produced taste hence I didn't enjoy it and left most of it. It wasn't soft, chewy but hard through out it. It wasn't worthy of the price.

Atmospheric and elegant Italian restaurant. The food was authentic and really took us back to Italy! We really enjoyed the range of the options in the menu. Perhaps understandably due to it being Valentine’s Day when we went, the service did feel quite rushed. Regardless, staff were friendly and we would recommend this lovely restaurant!

Great food, good portions, nice wine, can't fault. Antipasto was a great starter though I'm sure the majority of it was turkey ham. I was sat by the fireplace and kept hitting my head against the leaves of the plastic plant, and the table is VERY small, especially for the pizza plates.

Update: just been again and have to give 5 stars this time. Mind BLOWN by the excellent quality of food with beautifully simple/traditional Italian menu. Food was amazing as per usual. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. It was an incredibly busy Friday night so service was understandably slower, meaning it took a while to get our first drinks. That was the only downside. Lovely ambiance.

Was so looking forward to eating here, even moreso as we walked through the door and saw the decor and atmosphere. Unfor5the food and service failed miserably to live up to the venue. Not once we we checked upon so didn't get chance till the bill came to let the staff know how poor the food was. Shame.

the food was extremely overpriced and bad quality. food had almost no flavour or seasoning the prawn pasta had 3 pieces exactly which for £21.5 is ridiculous. we ended up not touching the mains as penne aribiatta was also atrocious. We paid around £25 per person for a one starter and two mains no drinks or desserts

The food was wonderful, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant. Our servers could not do enough for the group I went with. I have a food intolarance, and the food choices were still mouth wateringly delicious. Our servers kept checking that everyone in our group had their food. I had to wait for my food, it was not a problem because they kept me informed and it was worth the wait. I would have done it all again if I had any space. Attended the restaurant for a christmas meal with some members of our walking group. Food was good and arrived palatably heated, considering the number of guests in our party (25ish) and a full restaurant of diners. The festive menu featured a selection of traditional festive dishes finished off with Italian desserts. Staff were efficient, patient and helpful. Great ambience

Good Italian restaurant, not the best (carbonara is made with eggs not cream. Al with guanciale, not bacon). But it’s good enough.
