Very good service, food excellent,

Was recommended this place via a work friend at JLR. My oh my I must say every single mouthful was exquisitely delicious. Me and my partner had starters, mains, two sides and desserts + a bottle of Zinfandel rose wine. I had two glasses then stuck to a couple bottles of coke after and all in all came to pennies over £100 which is decent considering the quantity AND quality you receive! Will deffo be returning a few times in the new year

The food is always tasty and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Best spot not only in Sheldon but Birmingham highly recommend!

If you like Italian you must dine here! We were staying at Travelodge near airport and walking here was definitely the right choice! Fantastic restaurant- food was out of this world and very friendly service.

The batter was so light on the Calamari. Fishcakes were very nice , little potato and abundance of fish 😊 A friend has a garlic, onion and chilli allergy- they were brilliant in accommodating her. The girls ordered Cod for mains – they both loved it, especially the garlic free one. I had the turbot with cherry tomatoes, so tasty and generous portion, lovely and moist. Sides of spinach and mixed vegetables were spot on. My friend selected lobster linguini - one of the best he has tasted. I am mostly vegetarian – shame there are no main pasta or pizza free veggie mains. The tiramisu was not my favourite sad to say. Lattes and americano perfect

Lovely little restaurant, the food was beautiful! The portions were too big for me, but thats just personal preference (I took the rest home). We will be returning!!

I took my partner here as she loves italian when and when I mean loves it. I mean, she'd have it every day if she could. The food tasted great and reasonably priced for the portion you get. The staff were welcoming and if it needs to be known well dressed... the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. It's not the biggest place you'll see out there, but I think that's what gives it it's charm. Definitely recommend for a night out with your partner or family for something different.

Had a lovely dinner with friends last night after working at the British Masters at The Belfrey. Calfs liver, sea bass and beef stroganoff were all excellent as was the Chianti. Recommend this restaurant. Sorry, no photos but plenty already posted are accurate.

Good range of dishes and prices on the menu. Very attentive staff and clean premises. Situated just off the Coventry road with parking out front, it is easy to find. Well worth a visit. The portions are good and tasty. My fussy son enjoyed his asparagus risotto. We shall go again.

Googled restaurants near us after coming out of a trade show with my wife and her twin sister and this place came up with a great menu and photos,so gave it a ring and a nice lady booked us in. So glad that we gave this independently run business a chance rather than going to the normal big names because we was treated to fantastic food and hospitality and large portions.

Delicious spaghetti bolognese and very large portion size. Two mains, two sides, two desserts, three drinks plus tip came to just south of £70.00 (so, not going to be frequent visitors, but would definitely come back at some point).

First time here and service and food were excellent. We asked for the main courses to be delayed for a little bit so we could let our starters go down and enjoy a drink and this was no trouble. Everything tasted nice and fresh.

Lush food and lovely atmosphere. One of the best places i've ever eaten at. Worth every penny! Felt like I had to leave a review because of the taste if this food, too good to be true. Recommend the Bruschetta 😁

Had a great meal this evening. Opted for the lasagne and was fantastic -so tasty! It’s nice to visit a small and independent business as apposed to a chain and we felt well taken care of with great home cooked Italian cuisine!

We came across La Nonna by chance when looking for somewhere to take someone on a business trip who was at a local hotel. What a find! It is about 2 hours away from us (very sadly!). We have travelled extensively across Italy and always get frustrated by the 'Italian' restaurants in the UK - not any more! To start off with, for a restaurant to be relatively busy at 6pm onwards on a Thursday evening says quite a lot. I had Stracceti de Manzo, followed by the seabass and an incredible desert. Great to get a proper machiato too! Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their food. Service was lovely too. I would go as far as saying this is one of the best, if not THE best Italian restaurant I have visited in the UK! Thanks for a great experience guys, we do hope to see you again in the not too distant future!

What a lovely restaurant but be warned the portions are big but the food is 10/10 we were staying at Birmingham airport for an early flight to Spain although we only live in Coventry so now we have found it we will be back its an excellent restaurant.

First time ever and it was amazing. Best Italian I've ever had. Highly recommend.

I came here for my birthday last Saturday with 18 people, and the whole evening was amazing. We opted for the group set menu where you are able to customise the starters and mains, with tiramisu for dessert (which was delicious and nut free!) alongside half of bottle of vino/prosecco. The cacio e pepe, mushroom truffle and nduja pastas were divine. The focaccia is also extremely addictive, very grateful they brought out multiple portions! I’ve had nonstop comments from the entire group saying the food was unreal and that they will be making a return trip. The staff really went above and beyond to make the whole evening seamless; group dinners can be chaotic but it was honestly such a lovely evening and experience. Thank you so much to Freya for all her hard work on the lead up and on the night, as well as all the input from the rest of the staff… I will 100% be coming back. Huge huge thank you for making my birthday so special!

To start the restaurant is beautiful, gorgeous atmosphere, wish I had dressed up more! The service was lovely and attentive and the food was 10/10. Well seasoned and generous portions. The fish was particularly nice. Canne wait to come back.

What a beautiful time we had here, came here for Mother's Day, came with my Mother in Law, my Husband and my 7 year old Son. Everyone very attentive and patient. Food was beautiful had to take rest with us as portion sizes were large (no complaints here for that, was able to continue the happiness later on !) Beautiful, intimate restaurant, cosy, welcoming staff, would 100% recommend to family and friends. Thank you for making my Mothers Day feel extra special.

King prawns were very small in size but tasted nice at least. The mains were very good portioned and tasted nice too. However, it took far too long for the food to come.

This restaurant is a must for anyone seeking a filling and delicious meal! The food is unbelievable and the staff are amazing and extremely accommodating, they go above and beyond for each and everyone one of their customers. Once again, on our annual visit to the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC, we booked La Nonna for our Friday evening meal. Super friendly staff and delicious food as always. Our 5th visit.

Just what you need for relaxed dinner. Nice atmosphere, polite and efficient staff and the food was delicious and plentiful.

This place is one of the best I have eaten in. The food is amazing and it's so cheap it silly. You simply can't get better value. The portions are ample, the food is well seasoned, the chicken was moist , the prawns we cooked to perfection, the cream sauce was light and full of flavour. This place is actually worth some effort to get to even if you are a bit further away. I actually felt embarrassed by only paying 14 quid for a main here!

Having been to La Nonna on 3 previous occasions when the food has always been good , we went again last night and it was awful. My wife's Fillet Steak was tough as old boots and inedible and my Monkfish was overcooked. I don't think it was the usual chef as my wife noticed that the guy cooking the food had waited on us the previous twice we had been there. Needless to say we won't be going back.

With my partner living walking distance away from here, we thought we would give it a try based on a recommendation by a friend. Was a very hot day but the restaurant felt a lot cooler inside and we were quickly served. A good range of traditional home cooked Italian dishes. Because of this the service was a little slower then in other restaurants but as I say I would put this down to the home cooked meals. The restaurant is quite small and it quickly filled as the evening went on with a nice atmosphere and nice decor.

Came here for Friday dinner and the food was excellent! I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to take a photo! Lovely cozy little restaurant which I’m looking forward to coming back to. Great variety of dishes available including fresh seafood, pasta, pizza and meat dishes. The pistachio gelato is fantastic!

OMG - La Nonna is absolutely amazing. We never knew it was there, yet we love Italian food. The service is 100% spot on, as is the atmosphere - where you are not rushed and can actually enjoy your meal at your own pace. The food is amazing, the flavours are outstanding with portion sizes extremely generous. The great thing is my wife and I visited on a date night and we were blown away at everything and kept talking about it , telling others about it. Then we decided to go but this time take both our parents as well (our way of saying thank you for everything) ... Everything and I mean everything down to the last detail was the same as our first visit ... No drop in any areas, especially not the food or portion size. This impressed my wife and I, knowing it was not a fluke on our previous first visit. Our parents (who each are all picky) were amazed and loved the place, atmosphere, food, flavour and portion size. One even said they were expecting this fine dining stuff where you pay a lot and get nothing. The mother-in-law, couldn't even eat all her main and they packed it all up for her to take with her. This place, as long as they don't change is just great and amazing .... The service is next to none and can't be faulted, neither can the atmosphere. You really do get what you pay for, but with the (as it should be) added extra of the portion sizes. To find a negative ... I am being very very picky. The Champaign options are limited and expensive. 1000% recommend to anyone looking for a great date night meal location, or just for anyone to go out and to eat, drink, enjoy everything (service & atmosphere) and be able to talk. Excellent, please La Nonna do not make any changes.

What a gem this is, a little piece of Italy. We booked prior to going to see Peter Kay at World Resort.... this place is just 10.minutes away from all the chaos. Great food in a lovely little restaurant. The menu was extensive, something for everyone. The food we ordered was delicious and the portions sizes very generous. I had the Caprese that was light and tasty. I followed that up with monkfish, mussels and garlic mash from the specials menu.. absolutely fantastic. My wife had the bruschetta with mushrooms and dolcelatte cheese. Delicious and enough for two to share without doubt. This was followed by polio bianca neve. Again a tasty and delicious plate of food. The other members of our group had bruschetta all'pomodoro and calamare fritti followed by Tagliatelle Pollo e Gamberetti. We finished with dessert although we were pretty full at that point. If you're in the area then don't miss out on such great food, support local you out be disappointed. It's just a shame it's over an hour from home ! Just need to ring an excuse to come back.

Are in with family last night for the second time after numerous takeaways. The food here is excellent: authentic Italian cuisine full of flavour and good value. The pasta dishes are delicious and the dough on the pizza and breads is amazing. The service was also on point and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. I am already looking forward to our next visit.
