Lovely meal here with ex-work colleagues last evening. Nice quiet restaurant with excellent food choice and service. Very enjoyable - Mushroom in garlic creamy sauce, Sea food linguini and tiramisu.

IT WAS AMAZING HERE!!!! I would recomend to all the world if I could ♡♡ The food was good , The service was amazing and The atmosphere was on point it felt like i was in Italy !!! I will be coming again until I DIE ☆☆☆☆☆

What a beautiful time we had here, came here for Mother's Day, came with my Mother in Law, my Husband and my 7 year old Son. Everyone very attentive and patient. Food was beautiful had to take rest with us as portion sizes were large (no complaints here for that, was able to continue the happiness later on !) Beautiful, intimate restaurant, cosy, welcoming staff, would 100% recommend to family and friends. Thank you for making my Mothers Day feel extra special.

King prawns were very small in size but tasted nice at least. The mains were very good portioned and tasted nice too. However, it took far too long for the food to come.

This restaurant is a must for anyone seeking a filling and delicious meal! The food is unbelievable and the staff are amazing and extremely accommodating, they go above and beyond for each and everyone one of their customers. Booked this restaurant following other traveller reviews. Less than 5 minute drive from the travelodge at Birmingham airport. The staff were very accommodating and the food was very pleasant. Go hungry as the portion size is very filling. Thank you for the complimentary drinks and limoncello.

Once again, on our annual visit to the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC, we booked La Nonna for our Friday evening meal. Super friendly staff and delicious food as always. Our 5th visit.

Just what you need for relaxed dinner. Nice atmosphere, polite and efficient staff and the food was delicious and plentiful.

This place is one of the best I have eaten in. The food is amazing and it's so cheap it silly. You simply can't get better value. The portions are ample, the food is well seasoned, the chicken was moist , the prawns we cooked to perfection, the cream sauce was light and full of flavour. This place is actually worth some effort to get to even if you are a bit further away. I actually felt embarrassed by only paying 14 quid for a main here!

Having been to La Nonna on 3 previous occasions when the food has always been good , we went again last night and it was awful. My wife's Fillet Steak was tough as old boots and inedible and my Monkfish was overcooked. I don't think it was the usual chef as my wife noticed that the guy cooking the food had waited on us the previous twice we had been there. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Lovely little Italy restaurant really enjoy the services warm and loving really beautiful atmosphere made you feel like you was family and the food was amazing seasoned and cooked to perfection worth every pence definitely will be back

With my partner living walking distance away from here, we thought we would give it a try based on a recommendation by a friend. Was a very hot day but the restaurant felt a lot cooler inside and we were quickly served. A good range of traditional home cooked Italian dishes. Because of this the service was a little slower then in other restaurants but as I say I would put this down to the home cooked meals. The restaurant is quite small and it quickly filled as the evening went on with a nice atmosphere and nice decor.

Came here for Friday dinner and the food was excellent! I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to take a photo! Lovely cozy little restaurant which I’m looking forward to coming back to. Great variety of dishes available including fresh seafood, pasta, pizza and meat dishes. The pistachio gelato is fantastic!

OMG - La Nonna is absolutely amazing. We never knew it was there, yet we love Italian food. The service is 100% spot on, as is the atmosphere - where you are not rushed and can actually enjoy your meal at your own pace. The food is amazing, the flavours are outstanding with portion sizes extremely generous. The great thing is my wife and I visited on a date night and we were blown away at everything and kept talking about it , telling others about it. Then we decided to go but this time take both our parents as well (our way of saying thank you for everything) ... Everything and I mean everything down to the last detail was the same as our first visit ... No drop in any areas, especially not the food or portion size. This impressed my wife and I, knowing it was not a fluke on our previous first visit. Our parents (who each are all picky) were amazed and loved the place, atmosphere, food, flavour and portion size. One even said they were expecting this fine dining stuff where you pay a lot and get nothing. The mother-in-law, couldn't even eat all her main and they packed it all up for her to take with her. This place, as long as they don't change is just great and amazing .... The service is next to none and can't be faulted, neither can the atmosphere. You really do get what you pay for, but with the (as it should be) added extra of the portion sizes. To find a negative ... I am being very very picky. The Champaign options are limited and expensive. 1000% recommend to anyone looking for a great date night meal location, or just for anyone to go out and to eat, drink, enjoy everything (service & atmosphere) and be able to talk. Excellent, please La Nonna do not make any changes.

What a gem this is, a little piece of Italy. We booked prior to going to see Peter Kay at World Resort.... this place is just 10.minutes away from all the chaos. Great food in a lovely little restaurant. The menu was extensive, something for everyone. The food we ordered was delicious and the portions sizes very generous. I had the Caprese that was light and tasty. I followed that up with monkfish, mussels and garlic mash from the specials menu.. absolutely fantastic. My wife had the bruschetta with mushrooms and dolcelatte cheese. Delicious and enough for two to share without doubt. This was followed by polio bianca neve. Again a tasty and delicious plate of food. The other members of our group had bruschetta all'pomodoro and calamare fritti followed by Tagliatelle Pollo e Gamberetti. We finished with dessert although we were pretty full at that point. If you're in the area then don't miss out on such great food, support local you out be disappointed. It's just a shame it's over an hour from home ! Just need to ring an excuse to come back.

Are in with family last night for the second time after numerous takeaways. The food here is excellent: authentic Italian cuisine full of flavour and good value. The pasta dishes are delicious and the dough on the pizza and breads is amazing. The service was also on point and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. I am already looking forward to our next visit.

Very good service and enjoyable meal

Thankfully, this restaurant has managed to keep going despite the lockdown regime. I'd been before with my partner just before the original lockdown and was so impressed then, I really hoped they'd survive. Thankfully La Nonna is back as good as ever.I had a very pleasant evening with my partner. The food was amazing and the wine accompaniment too. The chef uses the finest ingredients and makes magic on a plate, served by staff that are very attentive, though not over bearing. I made a point that this was going to be my first post lockdown place to visit, and I'm so glad I did. Amazing as always.

I ordered food on May 29th via the La nonna website. We waited over an hour for our food and it still hadnt arrived. I had received a conformation email and notification that the resturaunt had our order and food would be on the way. I had also payed via card online. After an hour or so i decided to phone the restaurant to see how long our food was going to be as it had originally stated it would be up to a 45 minute wait. I was then told on the phone that the restaurant were not doing takeaway deliveries on that night although the website had allowed me to place my order and my payment went through (pending payment showed on my online banking), i explained that i had ordered online via their website and paid and also received a confirmation email. I was told 'my manager didnt accept your order because we are not doing takeaway today' 'the cancellation email should come through, maybe it will just take a while' i was supposed to get a phonecall back from the manager and i didnt i got a call back from the same lady who i had previously spoken too who just told me to wait and the cancellation will go through- the cancellation email never came through and still has not and payment has been taken out of my bank when I DIDN'T even receive any food!!! Not happy and i do not recommend ordering food online- to pay for food that never was delivered and also not even get the payment cancelled or refunded!!! I have since tried to call La nonna to arrange my money to be refunded but with no answer have been unable to talk to anyone about this! The amount is not alot but it is the principle, why should i pay for something i never received.

First meal out in over a year. Lovely warm welcome, very friendly staff. Warm relaxing atmosphere. Nothing is rushed, the food is really tasty very nice. Plenty of time between courses. We had a lovely evening. Thank you 😊

I made an order from La Nonna on Wednesday to be delivered on Saturday night at 8pm. I ordered a few days early in anticipation of the busy valentines weekend, however by 8:30pm on Saturday my order had still not arrived. When I called to ask how long our food would be the lady on the phone struggled to find our order and I got the impression that we had been forgotten about. She was however very apologetic and promised that our meal would be with us ASAP. When our food did eventually arrive it was over an hour late and lukewarm at best. This was quite disappointing as I had previously heard good things about this restaurant but I think that they may have taken more orders than they could handle on this occasion.

Amazing takeaway - food was fantastic and quick delivery. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend and hopefully I can visit in person when restrictions are lifted.

We ordered a takeaway from La Nonna recently. This was the most delicious meal we have had in such a long time. The steak was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Sautéed potatoes and vegetables were so tasty and such a nice change from the usual takeaway curries. I could not recommend La Nonna enough. The food came in foil containers and kept warm in an insulated bag. We can’t wait to visit the restaurant when it opens but in the meantime will be working our way through the menu and having a regular takeaway.

Went for a family meal for daughters birthday,. The food was excellent a good choice of food to choose from king prawn starter was really good. They are still doing eat out to dine out Monday-Wednesday through November so well worth a visit. service excellent will definitely return.

Esta fue nuestra primera visita a La Nonna y no fue una decepción. Nos recibieron como si fuéramos viejos amigos y enseguida nos hicieron sentir como en casa.Roberto se tomó el tiempo para explicar cuáles eran ciertos platos de los que no estábamos seguros, qué guarniciones, si es que había alguna, se adaptaban a cada plato, e incluso ayudó a mis hijos a pronunciar los nombres italianos de los alimentos. Había una gran variedad de alimentos en el menú, y cuando salieron los entrantes, nos sorprendió el tamaño de las porciones, tan grandes como un plato principal de otros lugares. Los platos principales eran igual de impresionantes. ¡La lasaña de mi hijo era del tamaño de una que nos alimentaría a 3 de nosotros en casa! !El pez espada estaba cocinado a la perfección, y la pasta de calamares de mi pareja era para morirse.Una vez más, los postres estaban deliciosos, y después de la cena se sirvió café con galletas amaretti como un toque agradable.Estábamos tan impresionados que reservamos para volver durante el fin de semana (sin los niños esta vez). Después de nuestra primera experiencia de La Nonna en la noche de San Valentín, dejamos el restaurante debido a la reserva. Incapaz de mantenerse al día con el número de cobertores y vimos cómo se enviaba comida a la cocina. Decidimos intentarlo de nuevo solo porque teníamos un cupón para usar de Valentines (un reembolso de nuestro depósito más el dinero de la gasolina). Ojalá no lo hubiéramos hecho. Esperamos una eternidad para tomar una copa. Y dos cursos tomaron 1. 5 horas. No estaban llenos, simplemente no estaban coordinados. La comida era insípida y sin sabor. Y salió con diferentes adiciones al menú. No volveré.

Myself & partner have just returned too La Nonna after our last visit on valentines night. The service off the Manager was amazing, a lovely man who made sure we had a great night. We saw La Nonna during the daytime when having a walk out from our nearby hotel and decided it would be a nice place to eat out at night. We were given a lovely table and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was very good too...oh, and the dessert platter was amazing!!Would highly recommend.

Food was great, and the staff were funny, respectful and efficient. We had great service and were not at all rushed. The recommendations were helpful - we had the monkfish special and lobster for starters, the lamb and duck for main, and the tiramisu for dessert. All very nice, and cooked just as we asked for. The dessert wine was nice and the grappa was sublime. All in all, perfect. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

A very simple review. The restaurant was overbooked and they couldn’t cope. We waited 2 hours for our main course and no service in between . When the food did come it was very very good. This is a good restaurant usually but they must learn to put their reputation before profit We will go back but maybe on a week night and not for a special occasion until I can be sure they understand customer service Invest in more staff Thanks

Visit this place for first time on valentine's day was absolutely busy but for me still more than 5 stars place from the service too the food absolute amazing even the deco for the occasion was brilliant well done to all of you on that day made it so special I heard something from tables next to us which was not true at all keep you heads up high for what you did was your best well manage on the day thank you very much again see you all soon for a nice limoncello hahaha

Me and my partner visited la nonna in Valentine’s Day and what a mistake this was. Living locally I have visited la nonna 3 times previous, all times an absolute pleasure. My last visit granted was over a year ago. A few days before hand we were contacted to pay a £30 deposit to secure the table which I thought ok fair enough, they seem organised. Something I will refer back to later on. As we arrived to a busy restaurant the waitress ( a girl who was around 13 years old ) told us to sit where ever we wanted.... ok fair enough. We sat up by the bar and noticed the set menu. With nothing really taking our fancy on the set menu we asked if the normal menu was still running to which to young girl said yes and brought us 2 menus over. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains & 2 drinks. Half an hour left my partners starter comes out. Another 15 mins later still no starter ( and drinks ) for me. I asked them to check on my food a further 5 times on from this..... then outcomes a side dish I ordered to come with my main...I told them to send it back and once again asked where’s my starter. Turns out the waitress got the order completely wrong. With there only being 4 items on the order I was baffled as to how they got this wrong. At this point we had been there 1 hour and 45 minutes. The couple next to us had been there an hour and had not even had their order taken. The couples down to our left ( both of which had been there longer than us ) hadn’t received any food. The whole time we were there we seen only 3 dishes come out to a restaurant completely rammed out, with around 20 couples in. There was a que starting to form from the front door to the bar. Clearly all people they had over booked. When it got to 2 hours I had, had enough and demanded my deposit back from the manager. He was completely baffled, running around like a headless chicken. He then continued to avoid me, so I called him over twice more and asked for my money again. He then said ok, ok how much deposit did you pay..... I told him £30 and that he should know. He said they don’t take £30 deposits, to which I then had to pull out my internet banking app to present to him showing my £30 I paid....Another 15 minutes later I finally got my deposit, walked out and went Shabar, in and out within an hour. What an absolute shambles! I won’t be going back and I highly recommended everyone else to steer clear also. If I could give 0 stars I would all day long.

This place is normally spot on 5* even with the change of ownership. But last night on valentines was a shambles. We arrived to couples leaving and saying to us wouldn’t waste your time, the place is a joke. Then we was stood for 10 minutes no one greeted us just shouted over from the bar where to go and that was on a table that still had other people’s menus and drinks on. I was ready to walk out from then the whole place was all over the place one man running round like a headless chicken and there was a poor young girl they had just thrown in the deep end and not helping her at all. After getting drinks and still no one to take are food I got up a left like so many others. Such a shame because it’s are favourite restaurant normally. B26 curry house it was haha

Place is a shambles, no tables available for the 4 couples waiting with us, orders going to the wrong tables and people walking out because they hadn’t received any food. After being told there was a 20 minute wait which was optimistic at least we decided it wasn’t worth the wait. Received a £20 voucher (my deposit) and left. So with the taxi fares to get there and back it cost me £60 to have no dinner!
